*WAKE UP PARENTS*

Years back, *poor illiterate parents* produced
🔹Doctors,
🔹Engineers,
🔹 Scientists,
🔹 Accountants,
🔹 Lawyers,
🔹 Architects,
🔹 Professors.., whom I will refer to as *Group 'A'*.

These *Group 'A'* Children struggled on their own after Primary 6 or Secondary schools, to become notable personalities. Most of them
👉🏾trekked to school *barefooted*
👉🏾went to farms
👉🏾fetched water and firewood
👉🏾cared for domesticated animals
👉🏾did some work including trading after school to survive.
👉🏽acquired handcraft skills such as basket weaving, broom making etc and use the money realised to support their personal upkeep.

Now Group 'A' ,who have now become Parents themselves are *producing Group 'B' Children*
These group B children are
🔹pampered
🔹 helped in their homeworks or home assignments from nursery school through secondary schools to higher institutions.
🔹chauffeur driven to very expensive schools or sent abroad to study.
🔹they can watch movies from morning till dawn after school.
🔹use expensive mobile phones.
🔹Spend hours chatting on social media.
🔹 they are treated like baby kings and queens.
🔹they don't do any household chores.
🔹Food is put on the table for them,
🔹their plates are removed and washed by parents or house maids.
🔹They are given expensive cars and clothes,
🔹not forgetting *big pocket money to be wasted* !!!.
🔹Their parents help them in doing their assignments.
🔹some parents look for "special centres" for their children to re-register for the SSSE or NECO that they failed in previous attempts to enhance their chances through exam malpractices😳
🔹In spite of all these, only few can *speak* or *write* correctly. 😏

🤔Group 'A' Parents cared for their own *parents* and *children*, Group 'B',their Children are still *struggling to find their feet at age 30+*.‼️
🤔They find it difficult to do things on their own because they are used to being helped to think and doing things by Group 'A'. S

*HOW TO GROW THE VOCABULARY BANKS OF PRESCHOOLERS*

Preschoolers are very young children between 18months and five years old who are found in a "Learning Space" known as a Preschool or Nursery School where they are educated before their primary education.

Preschoolers love to play, explore and ask questions about things around them and "Words" empower these children to make sense of the world around them.

A wide range of vocabulary also, helps them put their emotions into words, socialize with people and use their imagination.

More so, research has shown that the stronger the vocabulary of very young children the better they do well in school.

Using the right choice of words also helps Preschoolers improve their listening comprehension, social conversations and writing.

How can the Vocabulary Banks of Preschoolers be grown?
Beneath are a few tips..........

🌲 Converse with them. Make conversation a priority, very young children have absorbent Minds according to Maria Montessori, their minds are like sponges so it is vital to converse with them.
Let them have a turn in the conversation.

Make it an interactive experience by asking them questions and encouraging them to respond.


🌲Read interesting stories to them.
Keep reading aloud to Preschoolers even if they are able to read independently.

Young children love listening to stories and as you read to them talk about the stories the story you are reading, make reading aloud an interactive experience by asking them questions about the story you are reading, praising and encourage them for paying attention.

This helps them to build good communication and comprehension skills.

🌲 Let them learn a new "word" each day as well as its meaning and spelling this help boost their vocabulary.

It also aids their spelling and writing skills hereby enriching their vocabulary.
