"THE LAVER"
Laver is one of an object of services that God commanded Moses to made for cleansing before going to the holy place for daily services. See how it looks like above. It was a bronze basin which typifying *judgement- Exo. 30:17-21; 38:8;40:7;Eph.5:26.*.

Inside this Laver is mirror and water by which Aaron and his sons should wash to their hands and feet. These men are the representative of God for their people Israel, before they could be an effective Ministers they should live an acceptable life: therefore, they were commanded to wash themselves from the Laver before going to the presence of most high God.

The same thing applicable to us today as Ministers and children of God, James made mentioned of perfect law in 1:23-25: the mirror or glass that Apostle James said it reveals faces speak to us of the mirror in the Laver that shows us our attitudes and spiritual dirty. We all know that mirror that shows dirty can not clean, the same laver that produce the mirror produce the cleaner which is the water that was Inside it upon the mirror.

Aaron and other priests have to clean themselves with the water after mirror has shew them their dirty: we are the high priests, holy nation and peculiar people- *1pet.2:9* therefore, we are to take it as duty in consulting our laver which is the *word of God*.

The whole Laver and it contents are type of word of God by which we can clean all defilements mentioned in the preceding verses in the book of James: Bible is the perfect law that can makes us perfect as children of God, not reading them alone but by acting by it. God warned Joshua that he should give himself to the book of the commandment - *Jos.1:8* that is laver, is by it one can be perfect, prosperous and be rapturable. Mind you, reading of the whole book don't prove your perfection but little that you can apply for cleansing. Not the readers shall be justified but the doers - *Mat.7:21*. Apply the word of God in to your life by being the doer of it and you will be an holy and acceptable one. God bless you.
