The Deity at SOGIDI (good fruit) lake I heard has no name...but it is essentially depicted in half woman half fish dimension...as it appeared to the original settlers of the town.

Journeyed through various parts of Oyo Town today with some amazing souls ( ) ... One of my long time Yorubá Language students all the way from the States definitely had a swell time seeing aspects of Yoruba land, and history.

We also checked out Esù Akesán shrine in the heart of Akèsán Market, Oyo Town...as well as some history at the Old Oyó National Park office…good times.

The huge detail there is an Elephant skull, the tortoise is over 100 years old...

Afod Meets Actor Araosan Pẹfuẹlẹ

Nollywood Kunle Afod met one of the old OGs and versatile thespian in New York, that's the famous Alhaji Rasaq Ajao aka Pẹfuẹlẹ Araosan, in his meet and greet voyage that he started months back, where he's reconnecting old actors to teeming fans.

Except for the Gen Zs, I don't think most lovers of YORUBA movies back then wouldn't know Arasosan. He is a popular figure in the movie scene back then, in village theme movies where he often act as Babalawos along the likes of Arakangudu, Danguro, Abija, Elegbeje Ado, Alapini Osa, Fadeyi, Yinka Quadri and several others.

His funny nuances is shaping his mouth mockingly during incantation-rendering exercise, where he will smack head of a prey he wants to finish in movies and ended up shouting pẹfuẹlẹ, just like an Àgbákò will do with his head.

Well, for fans who may have wondered where he had been, he told Afod that life had a different plan for him as he won America Lotto in 2002 and moved to US where he has been living for 22yrs and presently working as a Nurse. He even went with one of his sons, who was once a child actor too, but now a Medical Doctor in US.

Fans are happy to hear from him, saying he looks much younger and fresher than one would have imagined. I agree too. His cheek says a lot😊.

He reveals that he is still very much into acting and has since produced some movies like Babalawo in America, Iwe igbelu among many others, where he is just the Excecutive Producer.

It's such an interesting story. You can go to YouTube to watch on Afod TV. He's definitely not one of those that fans will say help us give him 100k after this interview, because he seems to be okay.

Araosan is from Kwara State and he reportedly started acting in 1979 before he moved to Lagos in 1980 and joined some theatre groups that acted often on LTV and acted in several YORUBA movies back then.

It's good to hear from him again.
