Certificate presentation at the just concluded Managerial Leadership in Sales and Marketing course in Lagos Nigeria
[MUST READ]
In 1987, a 74-year old rickshaw puller by the name of Bai Fangli came back to his hometown planning to retire from his backbreaking job. There, he saw children working in the fields, because they were too poor to afford school fees.
Bai returned to Tianjin and went back to work as a rickshaw puller, taking a modest accommodation next to the railway station. He waited for clients 24 hours a day, ate simple food and wore discarded second-hand clothes he found. He gave all of his hard-earned earnings to support children who could not afford education.
In 2001, he drove his rickshaw to Tianjin YaoHua Middle School, to deliver his last installment of money. Nearly 90 years old, he told the students that he couldn't work any more. All of the students and teachers were moved to tears.
In total, Bai had donated a total of 350,000 yuan to help more than 300 poor students continue with their studies. In 2005, Bai passed away leaving behind an inspiring legacy.
If a rickshaw-puller who wore used clothes and had no education can support 300 children to go to school, imagine what you and I can do with the resources we have to bring about positive change in our world!

Nungu Recruiting and Out Sourcing
An applican aid this: I faked the interview of Accenture as a 2-year experienced developer but no one is taking me in a project from 2 months since I joined because I lack knowledge. What should I do now?
I know about 3 people who did this — let me tell you what happened with all 3. All these happened in Accenture.
1st person tried to pose as a developer and get a job. Cleared the interview and joined the organisation too. Was in the job for 24 months, even got promoted once untill the manager finally called the bluff ( there were a lot of complaint about the quality of work and too many issues reported due to the code, was put to work with a tech Arch who finally found the reason) and smoked the person out. Was fired and is now blacklisted in Accenture.
2nd person posed as a support executive and told that she have hands on technology knowledge and experience and want to switch to Development. Was smoked our in the 3rd month itself as having no knowledge. Was moved to a Support team internally and failed to performed the same role as described in her resume. Was fired and is now blacklisted in Accenture.
3rd person also claimed to be a Developer. Cleared the interview and joined the organisation too. Spoke with their reporting manager, came clear about the bluff and told effort will not be problem, but guidance will be needed. Was moved to a support role and worked there since. It's been 4 years since this person joined and then got 2 promotion just due to amout of effort put in. Presently is leading a team of 15 and is considered a SME. Still reports to the reporting manager.
Moral of the story — don't fake it, you will be ultimately found and acted upon. BUT if you have, come clear about it. Nungu has great learning opportunities and is committed to groom applicants. lf you need extra help, it can be arranged. But please don't fake it — it will not be accepted
