WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE HIPHOP SONG BACK THEN?
D’banj, once a dominant force, had long been associated with the limelight. DBanj, who produced some of his best works diring his prime years, he met so many African leaders, including top American superstars, made a runway debut and so much more.. Yet, the unexpected rise of Burna Boy has been nothing short of a paradigm shift, challenging preconceived notions and redefining the narrative. Burna Boy's unique sound, unapologetic authenticity, and global appeal have propelled him into the forefront of the industry, but for how long and who's next?
"All the while we thought it was D’banj. But it really was Burna Boy. But for how long? And who’s next?" -

what's happening here??? 😮😮😮
This was emotional. After all the bad blood and bile , 50 and Joey Crack made peace and brought Unity back to Hiphop. Goes back to the same message I have always tried to share with the Hiphop community . That energy is devilish and leads no where eventually. It destroys us. Love -

The Recording Academy has added a new music category for African music; Best African Music Performance for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
It also announced other additions – Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording. Additionally, the existing categories of producer of the year, non-classical and songwriter of the year, non-classical will be moved to the general field.
The category additions and amendments were voted on and passed at the Recording Academy’s most recent semiannual Board of Trustees meeting, held last month.
Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy in a statement said the news categories represent the diverse range of relevant musical genres.
“The Recording Academy is proud to announce these latest Category changes to our Awards process. These changes reflect our commitment to actively listen and respond to the feedback from our music community, accurately represent a diverse range of relevant musical genres, and stay aligned with the ever-evolving musical landscape,” Harvey Mason jr. said
The addition of an award category for African is a recognition of recordings that utilise unique local expressions from across the African continent, the Academy said.
The category includes but is not limited to the Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, Afro Pop, Afrobeats, Alte, Amapiano, Bongo Flava, Genge, Kizomba, Chimurenga, High Life, Fuji, Kwassa, Ndombolo, Mapouka, Ghanaian Drill, Afro-House, South African Hip-Hop, and Ethio Jazz genres.
