Senator Rafiu on Tuesday continued his rounds of ward to ward campaign in Offa local government area where the people warmly embraced him and his campaign team in their numbers.

The Kwara South senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2023 general elections, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has promised people of his Constituency, effective and quality representation if elected.
Senator Rafiu made the promise when he spoke on Saturday at the Political Dialogue organized by the Igbomina Youth Assembly for all political parties candidates in Kwara South which held at the Igbomina House, Ganmo, in Ifelodun local government area of the State.
He said as a former ranking member of the Senate, he has the required competence, skills, knowledge and experience to effectively represent the people of Kwara South senatorial district in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

I will return peace to Benue, promote agriculture, Atiku pledges

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has assured that peace will return to Benue State when elected as the next President of Nigeria.

The former VP revealed that the measures he will adopt to ensure that peace returns to the state are for the Fulani and Tivs to sign a peace accord.

Speaking during the presidential campaign rally in Benue state, Atiku said he will bring insecurity to an end and ensure that there is peaceful co-existence between Fulani and Tiv communities in the state.

Sen Rafiu Attends PDP Rotational Meeting at Arandun, Irepodun LGA

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, senatorial candidate for Kwara South, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, attended the Irepodun LGA PDP rotational meeting on Wednesday at Arandun Ward.

The Bobaselu of Erin-Ile, Senator Rafiu, along other Party leaders received decampees from the ruling All Progressive Party, APC at Arandun into the PDP. The decampees recounted how they were deceived by the lies and propaganda of the APC in 2019 and have come to realize that APC has nothing to offer the people of Kwara South. They therefore sought for the forgiveness of Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim and other PDP leaders at the event who warmly welcomed them into the PDP.

In his address, Senator Rafiu, thanked all party members present at the meeting for their commitment to the party while charging them to continue intensifying their effort in spreading the recovery agenda of the PDP and all its candidates to the nooks and crannies of Kwara South.

Also present at the meeting were the deputy governorship candidate of the PDP, Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola, Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Chief Comrade Bisi Fakayode and a host of other party leaders.

Kwara South: Sen Rafiu launches N500m Economic Empowerment Initiative for youths

The Senatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara South, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, on Wednesday, presented the Kwara South Economic Empowerment Initiative, tagged, Karakata 2022 to the people of the Senatorial district.
The initiative plans to train not less than 350 indigenes of the Senatorial district on productive skills of 21st century, and empower them with start-up capital as well as tools for self employment.

Addressing the people at the unveiling of his campaign team, in Omupo, Ifelodun Local Government Area, on Wednesday, Senator Rafiu, said the empowerment program, first of its kind, will create jobs, reduce unemployment, produce millionaires and enhance economic development in the Kwara South.

He also added that the empowerment will run alongside other sustainable empowerments for students, women and artisans as part of plans to create several millionaires in the next 10 years.
The leading Senatorial candidate, in his address said, "Karakata 2022 is a comprehensive package that is poised to engender a renaissance of economic growth in our community.
"We have carefully designed karakata 2022 to significantly and effectively address the inadequacy of opportunities for our youth and the unemployed in our society through training on productive skills of 21st century, and provision of inputs to help kickstart/bolster their entrepreneurial zeal."
Rafiu noted that the training will cover areas like, "Digital marketing Skills, web design, App design, Graphics Design and Social Media Marketing, Digital Finance, Inbound Outbound Marketing, and CRM."
Other areas will be in online sales and google directory as well as other businesses and digital opportunities.
According to the PDP chieftain, the opportunity is opened to all from the 7 LGAs of Kwara South irrespective of ones political affiliations.
The Senatorial hopeful expressed optimism that the initiative will go a long way to engender economic development and prosperity for the good people of Kwara South senatorial district.

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, senatorial candidate for Kwara South, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim on Friday, 20th of January, 2022 unveiled his 7 cardinal bond for the people of Kwara South at Omu-Aran, Irepodun LGA.

The ceremony started with the defection of former APC house of assembly aspirant, Barrister Joseph Titilope Akogun and his supporters into the PDP as well as other defectees from ADC.
According to Barr. Akogun, his decision to defect to PDP was necessitated by the fact that APC has underachieved with nothing to show for their last 4 years in office. He also observed that PDP particularly Senator Rafiu Ibrahim is a man who has a heart for the people and is passionate about ensuring the progress of Kwara South.

While I was Senator in 2015, I helped facilitate over 87 Federal institution jobs to Kwara Southerners. We have discovered it is just not enough.

We have resolved to have a JOB BANK where every young graduate will register to state his or her interest in needing a job, and a special team has been put in place to scout for the jobs and lobby them for our constituents.

The jobs would be allocated to job seekers in a transparent manner and without knowing anyone. Several jobseekers would be gainfully employed in sustainable Agencies of Government for the growth of our families and our region.
