To shed light on means; to make it possible to understand or know more about something; to enlighten; to make clear.

HOW TO SOUND DISTINCTIVE WHEN YOU SPEAK.

One way to be a better speaker is, by improving in your vocabulary.

A lot of people often, only use one word when they describe how they feel.

Today, let's learn new ways to describe how you feel.
Instead of saying "I am tired", you could use the following words;

1. SPENT

Sentence Example:
She has been working on a project all day, she must be spent.

2. DRAINED.
Sentence Example:

I worked a lot of overtime this weekend and now, I'm drained.

3. WORN OUT
Sentence Example:

I love to go clubing this weekend, but I'm so worn out from work.

4. POOPED.
Sentence Example:

Today, has been so hectic, I'm pooped.

5. TUCkERED OUT
Sentence Example:

After a long trip with my kids, they're tuckered out.

REDUNDANCY

Redundancy is when one uses two or more words together, that mean the same thing.

Redundancy in such a context is also known as tautology.

Read on and check if you've been making these common redundancies in conversations or writing.

1."Unexpected surprise"

⏩ Anything unexpected is a surprise. All surprises are unexpected. Hence, it is a redundant expression.

2. "Different kinds"

⏩These two words mean the same thing. Kinds refers to types of variety, which means that they are different from each other.

3. "Free gift"

⏩A gift is something given to another voluntarily, without charge. So, when you giveout something without a fixed price on it, it's a gift.

LOSE and LOOSE

Confusing words are two or more words that are easily confused with one another because of similarities in spellings or pronunciation.

LOSE is a verb meaning, not to have something anymore, to be unable to find something or to not win.

The letter 's' makes the sound /z/.
It's transcribed as /lu:z/
