Wilfred Ndidi is eyeing a move to the Premier League amid interest from Spanish clubs Barcelona and Sevilla.

According to Foot Mercato, the Leicester City midfielder prefers a move to the Premier League where he has played for most of his career rather than moving to Barcelona or Sevilla.

The two La Liga clubs are said to be interested in signing the Nigeria international in a bid to bolster their midfield but Ndidi's preference to remain in England might hurt their chances.

Vincent Enyeama, has revealed he had no idea the Nigerian National team had goalkeeping problems, mentioning he doesn’t watch Nigerian football.

“Sincerely, I’ve not been following Nigerian football right from the day I left. With due respect, I was treated like a piece of material, so I put up a block between myself and the national team and only recently started to follow what is happening,” the former Enyimba goalkeeper told
Hotsports NG.

A CAF Champions League winner with Enyimba, Enyeama mentioned he felt deeply hurt by what happened between himself and the NFF.

“I stopped watching the national team football because I was deeply hurt, but now I’m at ease. I’ve changed chapters. I can’t really say much about the national team and the goalkeeping because I am not watching them,” He added.
A lot of Nigerian football fans have been wanting to hear from the legendary goalkeeper after underwhelming performances by Omonia S.C.’s Francis Uzoho, but he clarified that he had nothing to say.

Nigeria have only picked up two points from their opening two games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Super Falcons Captain Onome Ebi has jumped to the defence of the Super Eagles following the criticisms they have gotten after their disappointing results in their first two games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

“They are gradually killing the beautiful game in my country with so much negativity,” Ebi wrote on Instagram.

“Football is supposed to be enjoyed, and players giving all to make the country proud are supposed to be encouraged and supported.

“It’s really sad to know that we have the best players in the world, but it is difficult to win games convincingly these days. It is really sad.

“We need that full support and enough of all this calling out players, insulting, and discouraging them after a bad game. Players go through a lot after all this, please lovers of football we can do better to help each other.

“Truly, some people don’t understand how it feels to lose a game or play below expectations. Some players never recover from it. Some experienced players are strong enough to encourage the rest. Some go off playing for some time to recover. Football is not just about playing on the field,”
It’s beyond. You wonder why players always ask the fans for their support and why it is because it goes a long way to motivate and encourage the players. Please let’s change our ways toward football players. It’s destroying the beauty of the game.”

Ebi currently plies her trade for Nigerian side Naija Ratels. Despite being over 40 years old, she is still the champion.

As published on the Premier League official website , Alex Iwobi strike for Everton in their 1-0 victory over Newcastle United at Goodison Park in the 2021/2022 season has been ranked as the 4th latest winning goal ever scored in Premier League history.

The Super Eagles midfielder's goal was timed at 98.20 minutes and he found the net when he played a quick one-two with Dominic Calvert-Lewin before putting the ball past Martin Dúbravka who was in goal for Newcastle in the encounter.

1). Dejan Kulusevski's winning strike (99.53 minute) for Tottenham Hotspur against Newcastle in September.
2). Bruno Fernandes' goal (99.45 minute) for Manchester United in their 3-2 win over Brighton in the 2020/2021 season.
3). Oliver Norwood's strike (99.17 minute) for Sheffield United in their 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month are the only goals ranked higher than Iwobi's.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa MON has insisted that Jose Peseiro’s side panic on the pitch of play because they cannot take too much pressure.

This is coming after Nigeria’s disappointing World Cup qualifier 1-1 draw with Lesotho on Thursday.

“So, please I am begging the media to please take it easy with these young boys, they can’t take too much pressure.

“That is why whenever they go onto the pitch to play they panic because they are thinking about what they are going to see on their accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook,” Musa said.

Zimbabwe coach Baltemar Brito has stated that they were targeting a win against Nigeria when both teams met in their second game of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.

“They[Nigeria] are good, of course, we started the game to win. We expected to win the game. Unfortunately, we drew, but we had ambitions of winning the game,” Brito said after the game.

“The result of the game comes from the atmosphere that we’ve had from this camping. Since day one, we have felt positive vibes between the technical staff and the players.

“The players came here with open hearts to represent the country. They fought too much today, and this good performance is just about them.”

The draw against Zimbabwe could be costly for the Super Eagles because they may fall four points behind South Africa, w,mmhave play Rwanda on Monday.

Jose Peseiro might have landed himself in hot water with the Nigeria Football Federation after an official of Zamalek confirmed that the Board of Directors of Zamalek have the curriculum vitae of the Portuguese football tactician.

Zamalek official told influential Arabic sports website Kooora : "Jose Peseiro is among the names already nominated to lead Zamalek.
"But he does not enjoy any preference. He is just one name among many CVs on the board of directors' table."

He added:
“The football administration, represented by the board of directors duo, Ahmed Suleiman and Hussein Al-Sayed, has not finished working on this file and has not settled on a specific name yet, and it is still in the study stage.”

Peseiro's job as Super Eagles coach is hanging by a thread after the national team began the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on a disappointing note, with back-to-back draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

Five observations from Super Eagles 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe.

1. Uzoho beaten by another set piece.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper remains in the spotlight due to his performances, having conceded from set pieces in three out of the last six games.
Uzoho conceded goals from set pieces in matches against Saudi Arabia, Mozambique, and Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Additionally, the Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper was also bested from a set piece by Walter Musona in the 26th minute.

2. Kelechi Iheanacho scores on his 50th cap
The striker from Leicester City began the match as a substitute but entered the fray for the start of the second half.
Following his introduction, Iheanacho made a significant impact on the game by scoring his 15th goal for the country on his 50th cap milestone to equalize for Nigeria after they went behind in the first half.

3. Poor playing surface
The Huye Stadium in Butare, Rwanda served as the venue for the match between Nigeria and Zimbabwe, as Zimbabwe was unable to present a satisfactory pitch to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Nevertheless, concerns were raised about the Huye Stadium's quality, impacting the Nigerian players' ability to execute successful passes among themselves.
The unfavorable pitch conditions posed challenges for Nigeria in creating scoring opportunities and were deemed unsuitable for top-quality football.

4. Nigeria again struggle against teams fielding a low-block
Once again, Nigeria faced challenges in generating scoring opportunities against a defensively organized low-block side.
Zimbabwe exhibited strong defensive organization on Sunday, making it tough for Nigeria to create chances, particularly in the second half.
Despite securing an equalizer through a well-executed team movement, the Super Eagles continued to struggle in creating opportunities and did not pose a threat to their opponent.
Nigeria managed only one shot on target, which resulted in the equalizing goal, and three shots off-target throughout the game.
The Eagles, throughout the entirety of the match, were only able to force the opposing goalkeeper to make one save.

5. Poor tactics from Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro
In response to the disappointing draw against Lesotho last Thursday, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro implemented significant changes to the starting lineup.
Key players such as Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface, and Ademola Lookman were relegated to the bench, a decision that did not yield positive results.
In the first half, Nigeria displayed a lack of cohesion, intensity, and coordination among the players, which was expected given the substantial lineup changes.
During the second half, the Portuguese manager rectified the situation by introducing Kelechi Iheanacho, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Victor Boniface.
This substitution altered the rhythm of the game in Nigeria's favour, with Iheanacho capitalizing on a layoff from Moses Simon to equalize.

Rohr Mocks Super Eagles Coach – They Needed A Defender To Score Despite Having Four Strikers.

He said it’s funny that the only goal of the team came via a centre defender despite the fact that Super Eagles lined up with four attackers on the pitch.

“You know that I spent some years in Nigeria and we played even here in South Africa in Johannesburg against Bafana Bafana so you always have an eye on your former team”, he said before their defeat earlier today.

“I was suffering with them, I saw that they attacked without scoring a goal. They had to wait for a corner and a header of the big player Ajayi.

“Yes, they have problems, we know that they have big players, perhaps, they have the best players all over Africa in this team, some of them were not here, but still they had three center forwards, all wonderful players, fourth striker Lookman also, and Iwobi behind.

“Normally, you should win this game in Uyo in a a wonderful stadium, but like you saw all is possible in this group, there can be a lot of surprises and this was already one of them”.

“The coaches need to believe in them to showcase their best for the team.

Zimbabwe coach Baltemar Brito has declared that they will not show any respect for Nigeria when they meet in their second game of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Senator John Owan-Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, has voiced his concern following the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against the Crocodiles of Lesotho in Thursday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

“The Government and football-loving people of Nigeria take the qualification for the 2026 World Cup very seriously and want the Super Eagles to qualify. Having missed out on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, qualifying for the 2026 World Cup is not negotiable,” he remarked.

“I urge the Nigeria Football Federation to look into and correct all the lapses observed in Thursday’s match with the aim of putting in a much better performance in Rwanda on Sunday, Nov. 19, against Zimbabwe,” he stressed.

“It is not good enough that many Nigerians could not watch their national team play in their country. A repeat of the same should be avoided, and NFF will be expected to register Nigeria’s displeasure with the appropriate authority in FIFA,” he asserted.
