It is with tremendous joy that I announce to the general public that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval to Nana Babajo College of Nursing Sciences, Malumfashi Satellite Campus to operate as *MONOTECHNIC INSTITUTION* and commence *ND Nursing* programme.

Equally, Kasimu Kofar Bai College of Nursing Sciences, Katsina Satellite Campus has also been granted approval by "the NBTE to commence *HND Nursing*. All the approvals take effect from the 2023/2024 academic session.

With this new development, both Katsina and Malumfashi Satellite Campuses of the College operates as MONOTECHNIC INSTITUTIONS and offers ND Nursing programmes. These approvals will significantly enhance the academic offerings of the Colleges and provide more opportunities for students seeking quality Nursing Sciences Education .

It will interest the general public to note that plans are in top gear for the commencement of Bachelor of Nursing Sciences Degree programme at Kasimu Kofar Bai College of Nursing Sciences, Katsina through affiliation with one of the conventional University in the Northwestern region.

In fact, this unprecedented feat is a watershed moment for Nursing and Midwifery education in the country and a clear manifestation of the Provost's vision of repositioning the College and making it a reference point in Nursing and Midwifery in Africa.

The Board of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at its 55th General Meeting held from 20th to 22nd October, 2021 has granted approval for the Direct Entry Admission of LICENSED COMMUNITY MIDWIFERY graduates who have served the mandatory two (2) years bond in their community.

Consequently, the sale of DIRECT ENTRY application forms for admission into BASIC MIDWIFERY programme (200 Level) at Nana Babajo School of Midwifery, Malumfashi commences from Monday 13th December 2021 and ends on Sunday 9th January 2022.

NOTE
1. Direct Entry Basic Midwifery programme is NOT for Secondary School leavers.
2. It is a programme for Licensed Community Midwife (LCM) seeking to be trained and become Registered Midwife (RM).
3. Applicant MUST must be a Licensed Community Midwife with current practicing licence and have at least 2 years work experience.

The College regrets to inform candidates that the release of admission list for ND Nursing programme earlier slated for Friday, 5th November, 2021 has been postponed to next week due to some unavoidable situations.

2. It is important to note that all admissions into Tertiary Institutions MUST be processed ONLY on central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) of JAMB as directed by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu during the 2021 JAMB Policy Meeting on Admissions. The College is awaiting response from JAMB Office on same.

3. The College regrets any inconveniences arising from the delay in release of the admission list.
