In Matthew 16: 23, after Peter rebuked Jesus for declaring the journey that leads to his ultimate destiny, which was to die in the cross, Jesus turned to Peter and said to him "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me;

As I reflected on this, I understood further that;

On the journey of destiny, you don't allow stumbling blocks to stay before you, you put them right where they belong. Stumbling blocks are meant to be behind not ahead.

On the journey of destiny, everyone will meet stumbling blocks but it's only those that get it behind that can make progress.

What are your own stumbling blocks? Identify them and Get them behind, otherwise you will keep stumbling!

How my Social Enterprise work got me a fully funded scholarship to the United Kingdom…

In 2012, my passion for helping humanity and contributing to solving the global problem of extreme poverty led me to start an NGO www.elsophi.org, with proper systems and structures in place, we received grants from some notable donors like the US Embassy, Catholic Relief Services amongst others and we made significant contributions to improving life for the poor, the vulnerable and marginalized. Not as though it was easy resigning from a paid job and focusing on starting and growing an NGO but I enjoyed every bit of the challenges because it was my area of passion.

Little did I know that what we were doing would one day turn out to be a major foundation taking me to the global scene. Fast-forward to 2023, the stories of the successes and impact of our NGO have helped me greatly in several ways, the most recent being the award of a fully funded scholarship from the UK Government through the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office.
