The first time I saw my neighbor get drunk was the second month after I got here (my PPA). Before then, we had been close and even hang out together but I had never seen him get this drunk before.

He's a Keke Napeep driver so I am not surprised he drinks, and apart from that sef to see a male child that doesn't drink in this Ifo town you will have to walk the whole town. I remembered one of his friends calling me local because I don't drink or smoke. Lol! Èmi omo Shehu Alimi.

On that very day, I saw him moving around speaking to himself, so I decided to ask him who he was fighting. That was how he sat me down to tell me the story of 2pac and the neighbors that have left and still living in the compound. You will think he swallowed a parrot, but one thing I didn't understand about him that day is why he would talk closer to my face while speaking broken English, I wished he knew how much saliva he wasted on my face that day.

The second time I saw him get drunk was the day he won Baba Ijebu, he was drunk and was fighting everyone that night. I tried to calm him down but Baba threw me a punch but I dodged it, me that took sugarless Garri that night, I would just faint if it touched me. 😹 I narrated the event to him the next day, he apologized and told me it was the mixture he took that made him high and that he's not someone like that.

Today again he came home drunk only to wake everybody in the compound up, he knocked on everyone's door around 3 am telling them to go and prepare for work.

Now the werey is on his bed sleeping peacefully in his room after disturbing our sleep earlier.

The SilentSound Magazine is pleased to inform you of her annual pad donation campaign to 1,000 School girls in Kwara communities.

It would be recalled that the Initiative first launched the program in 2022 to commemorate the World Menstrual Hygiene Day among the secondary school girls in Asa Local government.

Part of the organization's objectives is to give a female child the power to overcome their period and stay in school, helping them to crush the stigma associated with periods and other emerging societal challenges.

We enjoy the members of the public, stakeholders in education and health and other concerned individuals to support this campaign.
