I have realized that collabo's are really important when you want to impact lives

Over the Christmas with huge support from Cornelius Project UK we provide food stuff ranging from boxes of Indomie. noodles, rice, beans, groundnut oil to about 40 widows and less privileged people in the society. The feedback was heartwarming.

In collaboration with IBWU, FOFDA(Friends of FDA) foundation is providing books, clothes, toys, sewing machines, one weaving machine and PCs mainly to Eghosa Orphanage Benin, Bales of Mercy orphanage/ Landscape schools, the intention is affect the indigent children in the community at large by giving them access to these materials is in their school.

The IBWU Foundation is a not-for-profit Organization incorporated in Canada founded by people of like minds across North America, Europe & Africa who are brought together by a passionate and common desire to bring about positive changes in communities. Their mission and values are inspired by simple acts of charity and by working in partnerships with communities in Nigeria as participants and encouraging social and community responsibility; beginning with each individual.

And we rounded it off with a "SHOP FOR FREE" session. Next one is loading.

The CPR class was followed by 5 different skill acquisition classes:

1. Gele tying/lite makeup
2. Wig making
3. Yoghurt/Parfait making
4. Shoemaking
5. Snacks making

On January 29th FOFDA guys headed to a suburb at Isheri Magodo to do what we do best, impact lives. It was a huge success.

We started with a CPR/First Aid training having realized that lives have been needlessly lost because of this knowledge.

Yesterday we had a skill acquisition workshop. And it was great, over 160 families where blessed with skills like Yoghurt and parfait making, soap (bar, liquid) and sanitizer making, small chops, wig making, gele tying and autogele training. After which we had free clothes shopping for the participants and they all went home with a bag of foodstuff.

Training sessions include the following:

1. Yoghurt making, parfait preparation, yoghurt milk

2. Catering classes - puff puff, mosa, egg roll, donuts

3. Soap making - Liquid/bar soap and sanitizer

4. Wig making - braids, weave on

On Easter Monday, FOFDAworks is planning to give out 200 food boxes to low income families in ijesha, Orile and environs, this will be after they have also been trained in one of 4 skills and done some free clothes shopping.

On Friday in collabo with Bubu Foundation and Islamic women foundation will be hosting a "Shop for free" event in Maiduguri. Come shop for all your clothes, casual and formal, traditional and foreign attires, all for free.

Poverty alleviation starts with empowering families and giving them hope, basic needs of people are food, clothing and shelter.

Our very first project in conjunction with Dagomo Foundation. We delivered foodstuffs to the elderly and infirm during the lockdown due to the 1st wave of the covid-19 pandemic.

On 9th of July, FOFDA organized a cloth drive and household stuff sharing at Small London, Shomade Crescent, Surulere. Also donated was packs of Indomie and drinks to families represented.

In the wake of the pandemic, the fofda team shared face masks and drinks residents of the slum area at the end of the Johnson/Imam Dauda street Eric Moore to celebrate the Eid Fitiri season.
