Topic: Who Is Your Role Model?

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children Ephesians 5:1 (KJV)

Making the right person your role model will lead you toward your destiny and its fulfillment. The New King James quotes the opening scripture as Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. Following God and imitating Him makes you a true child of God. Beloved, there are some Christians who have made certain worldly personalities their role models; this is wrong according to the Word of God. Making a worldly person a role model would mislead you to act at variance with the Word of God. Beloved, God wants us to make Jesus Christ our role model because He is the express image of His person (Hebrews 1:3). God became man in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ to teach us how to live the life that God has designed for us (John 1:14). Thus, any life you are living which is not Christ-like will not be approved of by God. As a child of God, study the life of Christ and imitate Him so that you can live a fulfilled life for Him. Remember that He is the author and finisher of our faith, so you are guaranteed a wonderful life when you make Him your role model (Hebrews 12:2). Hallelujah! Keep following and imitating Jesus Christ!

Prayer Point: My dear Father, thank You for giving me a true role model to follow and imitate. Please lead me to get rid of anything that wants to divert my focus on Jesus Christ. As I follow and imitate Christ Jesus, thank You for making my life wonderful in fulfilling my divine destiny. Amen!

Topic: Your Glory Is Worth the Suffering!

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Romans 8:18 (KJV)

Suffering for Jesus Christ and His gospel is part of the Christian life. Therefore, if you are being persecuted for His name’s sake, blessed are you because a time is coming when His glory will be revealed in you (Matthew 5:11). If you consider the suffering and complain, you will give up and miss the glory that is ahead of you. Beloved, glory is the promotion, beauty, prosperity, peace, wealth, and success that God Has planned to give you here on earth after enduring the suffering of Christ, and the greater glory of heaven. Remember that Jesus Christ endured His agony and suffering on the cross because of the joy of glory He would receive (Hebrews 12:2, 1 Peter 1:11). Dear beloved, pray for the grace to endure the sufferings of Christ so that you can embrace the glory ahead of you. Remember that Apostle Paul also endured many hardships for Christ because of the crown of glory reserved for him. Endure the suffering designed for you by God for His name’s sake, and your glory is guaranteed. Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: My faithful and loving Father, thank You for educating me about suffering for Your name’s sake. I have incorporated suffering for Christ into my mindset. Please give me the grace to endure suffering for Your name and embrace my glory with eternal joy. Amen!

Topic: The God of All Comfort!

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV)

The God that we serve is a God of all comfort. Knowing that He is the God of all comfort is the beginning of your liberty and comfort. Are you being afflicted? Call on the God of all comfort. Are you going through tribulation? It is time to call on the God of all comfort. He is the Father Who has all the answers to our difficulties and challenges. No wonder He said Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.(Jeremiah 33:3). Sometimes we move away from Him because we think He is angry at us for not living up to His expectations. At other times we move away from Him because we have been convinced by the enemy that God does not care about our situation. Dear beloved, irrespective of what you might be going through, never desert God. Rather get closer to Him and call unto Him through His Word (James 4:8). Keep calling unto Him through His Word, and He will answer and give you all the comfort you need. Remember, when He comforted Joseph, it enabled him to also comfort his brothers and the whole of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-57, 45:5-8). Therefore, remember to also comfort others when you are comforted. Hallelujah! You are an overcomer!

Prayer Point: My loving and faithful Father, thank You for Your words of exhortation. Indeed, You will comfort me in all my troubles and challenges. Please give me more grace and insight to endure so that, after You have comforted me, I will be able to comfort others in their trouble in Jesus name. Amen!

Topic: Your one day is about to Happen

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
As the year draws to a close, some of God's children have achieved their goals and objectives whilst others are yet to achieve their long awaited dreams.
It is not too late to still trust the Holy Spirit for the fulfillment of your goals/dreams. It takes just a day/moment for God to bring to pass that which He has destined for you.
Praise the Lord! Our dear father Abraham was very wealthy but his very challenge was getting an heir to fulfill his dream and God's promise.
Finally, his day came when his wife conceived and brought forth Isaac, the promised heir. Moses faced challenges in Egypt when he decided to choose God's people over the Egyptians.
He went into exile but his day came to pass when he was appointed by God to lead His people out of Egypt into the promised land.
The day of David, Solomon, Sampson, Hannah, Elizabeth, Mary, Peter, etc. came to pass. Therefore, keep pressing on with your faith and good works; your day is about to happen for nothing is impossible with God.
Hallelujah! Share your thoughts here!

Topic: Concentrate on What You Have

He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding. Proverbs 12:11
The kingdom of God is filled with countless principles for living a healthy and prosperous life. The opening scripture wants every child of God to concentrate on whatever gift or talent the Holy One has given to him/her.
In other words, our Father has endowed His children with several gifts/talents to prosper therewith. What He wants us to do is to search within us and find them, develop them and prosper with them.
Anyone who does not concentrate on his/her gift/talent but associates with people who have no aim in life lacks understanding, and in no time will be a loser in life.
Aside from the natural gifts/talents, our Lord Jesus Christ also gave spiritual gifts to every born again Christian to prosper withal, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.
As a child of God, your number one goal is to find your natural gifts and spiritual gifts; after finding them, till or develop them and prosper with them. When you are enjoying the prosperity from your gifts, do not forget to share with the weak in Christ. Hallelujah!
Dearly beloved, have you discovered your natural gifts/talents and spiritual gifts?
Are you developing them? Share your comments here!

Topic:Who is God to You?

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalms 18:2
The opening scripture speaks so much about who God is to the Psalmist. The Psalmist was talking from a personal relationship or personal encounter with the LORD.
He said the LORD is his rock, fortress, deliverer, God, strength, trust, buckler, horn of salvation, and high tower. Nine personal encounters produced nine attributes of God.
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ asked His disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God", Matthew 16:15-16.
Dearly beloved, have you had any personal encounter with the LORD?

Topic: A Child or A Man

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11
The Bible has clearly told us the difference between a child and an adult or mature person. Children speak first of all, before trying to understand what they have said, then think through what they have uttered.
Adults/mature people, on the other hand, will think through what they are about to say, understand it, and then finally speak their thoughts.
This explains why children make a lot of mistakes and like making unnecessary noise. The scripture says that sin is not absent in a multitude of words but that he who restrains his lips is wise, Proverbs 10:19. Maturity lies in the ability to control one's thoughts and choose carefully before acting on them.
A man or woman who has not put away childish things cannot go far in life, cannot achieve much, and will most likely be treated like a child. It is easy for a child of God to grow into maturity by meditating on the Word and obeying the Word. Dearly beloved, are you a child or a man? Share your thoughts here!

Topic:New Heart New Spirit

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
The promise in the opening scripture was fulfilled by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. On the cross he declared, "It is finished", John 19:30.

When a person receives Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, he is given a new heart and a new spirit. His stony heart is replaced with a heart of flesh. This is a total transformation called being born again: the spirit of the person is reborn and this gives a person an obedient heart to understand and obey the Word of God.
The Holy Spirit who is the seal of salvation is also given to the person who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. What the Christian should aim at is to always appreciate God and strive to please Him. He also has the best chance to succeed in life, since he has God as his Father, who will direct him along the path of success.
Dearly beloved, how did you feel when you became born again? Share your comments here!

Topic: Act of Commendation

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

When mankind sinned against God, they were afraid to approach God. God did not wait for mankind to approach Him;
He sent Jesus Christ to die to atone for their sin so that mankind would approach God without fear or any sense of guilt. What God did is an act of true love which deserves to be commended.

Any time we lift up praise and worship to God for His love toward us, we are commending Him for His mercies and love. He has also taught us not to be revengeful but to be forgiving toward one another. Dear beloved, are you revengeful or forgiving toward others? Share your comments here!

Topic:Glory in Tribulations

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans 5:3

Apostle Paul in his walk with Christ Jesus went through several tribulations.
He saw God's hand in the tribulations to teach him some spiritual truth. He learned of the spiritual truth and is in the best position to enlighten us about what he had learned.

He learned that tribulation or challenges yield patience, and patience produces experience, and experience generates hope. Hence, Apostle Paul is of the view that we should not totally condemn tribulation or challenges but rather be on the alert to learn patience, experience, and hope.
In the end, the Holy Spirit comes to our aid to end the tribulation, fulfilling our hope because He loves us and His love is at work in our heart. Dear beloved, are you going through any challenge or tribulation? What should be your disposition? Share your thoughts and comments here!

Topic:Watch and Pray

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. Mark 14:38

Before Jesus Christ went to the cross He went with the disciples to pray in the garden of Gethsemane. He took with Him Peter, James, and John to assist Him to pray whilst He went farther. He came back on three occasions to find them sleeping. He told them to watch and pray lest they enter into temptation.
The same goes for us who are born again in Christ Jesus. The only way to prevent or overcome temptation is to watch and pray. Jesus was able to overcome the temptation of the devil because He watched and prayed (Matthew 4:1-11).

There is now no excuse because the Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us pray; He is also ever ready to help us to fully take control over the flesh. Let us therefore cooperate with the Holy Spirit so that He can teach us how to watch, pray, rule over the flesh, and overcome all kinds of temptations. Dear beloved, are you going through any temptation? How do you wish to overcome it? Share your comments here!
