UNDERSTANDING THE VOICE OF GOD (CONTINUATION).

HOW TO HEAR FROM GOD

The following principles enable you hear God in appropriate dimensions:

~ Have love (1 Jn 4:8; Gal 5:22-23).

~ Study and meditate on the word (Josh 1:8; Ps 19:14).

~ Be prayerful (Jam 5:16).

~ Embrace prophetic declarations (Lk 1:38, 45).

~ Apply faith (James 1:25; 1 Sam 1:11).

~ Do good works (Heb 6:10; Heb 13:2; Ps 84:11; Gen 18:2-8, 9-10, 14; Prov 19:17; Acts 10:1-6).

KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
¶. It is not in your power to decide how God speaks to you (Num 12:6-8).

¶. You can grow to be familiar with the voice of God, thus recognizing whenever He speaks. Samuel initally had no experience in understanding the voice of God thus, he needed to learn to recognize and be familiar with it (1Sam 3:4-10, 21).

¶. The Spirit of God is dynamic and unpredictable, and operates in unlimited dimensions. Elijah was also trainned to understand other dimensions of the move of the Spirit (1Kgs 19:11-12).

¶. If you don't hear from God, you will hear from the devil (2 Cor 11:14-15).

¶. You need the capacity to understand when God speaks. Belshazzar did not understand the writing on the wall because he lacked the capacity (Dan 5:5-7).

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

7. THE ANGELIC REALM
The angelic realm is a liquid, fluid and slippery realm that transcends time; it is a peculiar dimension of life aligned with the uniqueness of the angelic nature.

Events in the angelic realm are faster than earthly speed, light and volume; they have features of lightening speed that can't be measured by the conditions of life on earth.

The angelic realm defies weight and matter.

God does not directly do the activities in the angelic realm; angels do them by God's command (Ps 103:20; Ecl 8:4).

Kings give orders which are implemented by their servants (Ecl 8:4; Dan 4:17, 32; Ps 83:18).

7.1. THE REALM OF MOMENTS
Plaques and pestilence are effected in a moment in the realm of the spirit and their earthly manifestations may carry the speed or the lapse of time, based on divine arrangements.

Examples include:

1. When David numbered Israel (2 Sam 24:17)

2. The parting of the red sea which was done at the blast of God's nostrils (Ex 15:8)

3. The affliction of Job (Job 1:14-29; 2:7-8)

4. The swift and onmi-directional operations of Cherubim (Exek 1:14; 10:11)

5. The fall of Sisera (Judg 4:15; 5:20)

6. The destruction of Korah and
company (Num 16:28-33, 35)

7. The congregation against Moses and Aaron (Num 16:45, 46-49).

7.2. FEATURES OF THE ANGELIC REALM
1. The angelic realm is the realm of non - encumbrances.

2. The realm of the application of spiritual principles.

3. The language of the spiritual realm is mystery.

4. The higher the mystery, the higher the leverage.

5. The spiritual realm is the custodian of the realities and consequences of earthly actions.

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

6.1. ANGELS WHICH ARE GREATER IN POWER AND MIGHT (2 Pet 2:11).

Angels, based on their nature, possess and deploy supernatural abilities to help man (Ps 91:11-12; Ps 34:7).

The body guards of a rich man are much greater than the son of the rich man in stature and strength.

They have the ability to beat up the son of the rich man but have no authority to do so; and they will never attempt that for fear of their lives.

The bodyguards are often greater than the rich man's son in "stature" and not in "status"; but the rich man's son is certainly greater than the bodyguards in status.

And "status" is valuable than "stature" (1 Tim 4:8). The bodyguards are to protect the son of the rich man.

In this case, the protector has lesser authority than the protected because the protector is hired to render security services, amongst others, to the protected (Lk 22:27).

Besides, a son has more authority than a servant.

In the end, man is integrated/aligned to his true position (Gal 4:1, 7).

6.2. THE ELECT ANGELS (1Tim 5:21)

Angels (of light) will not be judged in the last day. Where there is no transgression, there is, therefore, no judgment.

The angels of God (light) have always remained loyal (holy) to God.

Nothing profane can survive the presence of God (Rev 21:27).

Angels have always been in heaven.

The ones who entertained profanity were cast down and they have been judged in advance and that is why they can never be forgiven (Ezek 28:16, 18; Rev 19:20; 20:10; Jude 1:6; 2 Pet 2:4).

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

6. MAN SHALL JUDGE ANGELS
(1Cor 6:3).

The law is the basis for judgment. God's word is the highest law (James 1:25; Heb 4:12). The law is bigger than anyone it judges, that is why no one can bend it.

The one who judges you is greater than you.

God is the Judge of all (Heb12: 23; Rev 19:1-2; 20:11-12; James 4:12).

In Israel, there were judges who judged the people at different intervals, dispensations or era (Acts 13:20; Judg 2:16).

Judges were appointed to rule over the people so that their position made them greater than their subjects.

Judges included kings, rulers, governors, princes, presidents, judges, etc (Rom 13:1; 1Tim 2:2; 1Pet 2:13-4).

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? (1Cor 6:3) ...... doesn't mean that we shall seat in the seat of judgment against angels in the last day or when we get to heaven.

Angels will not be judged in the last day like the case of man or in the case of Governor Pilate judging Jesus (Mtt 27:11, 13, 26) or Governor Felix or Festus and king Agrippa judging Paul (Acts 24:1, 22-23; 25:23-26).

Angels are holy. The judgment of falling spirits (dark angels) is pre-settled/pre-ordained.

To judge angels means we have more authority than them. After God, is man.

Angels are sons of God. Their own dimension of sonship is different from that of man (1Jn 3:1a).

The blood of Jesus made man heir (equal) with Christ. Heir of God through Christ (Gal 4:7) and equipped man to put on the stature of the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:13).

The blood made man to have more privilege, leverage and authority than angels (1Pet 1:10-12).

Saints will sit with Christ in His throne and not angels (Rev 3:21).

Christ and man are brethren (Heb 2:11-12, 16 -17). No where in scripture are angels referred to as brethren with Christ (Heb1:4; Rev 3:21).

Man is seated with Christ (Eph 1:20 -21; 2:6). The throne of God is far above all principalities and powers.

There are human, angelic and demonic principalities.

Where Christ is seated is far above all classes of principalities and powers (Eph 1:20-21).

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

5. COMMISSIONED OFFICERS WITH A MANDATE

A five - fold officer operates in the level of angels. The angels of the seven churches in Asia are five - fold ministers (Rev 2:1, 8, 12, 18; 3:1, 7, 14).

Commissioned ministers act as angels of their commissions.

Not every local assembly is commissioned.

Pastors lead the congregation to God's presence in the corporate setting (Prov 27:23); though every believer carries God's presence (1Jn 2:27; Eph1:13).

Pastors are to have a very high standard of spiritual devotion to effectively operate in the angelic realm. (Ecl 9:8).

5.1. HUMANS REFERRED TO AS ANGELS
1. Paul (Gal 4:14).
2. Stephen (Acts 6:15).
3. David (2 Sam14:17).

** They all hold a common attribute: they were all called to spiritual office.

1. Paul: Five-fold minister (1Cor1:1; Rom 1:1; Acts 13:1).

2. Stephen: Office of the deacon (Acts 6:5).

3. David: King, priest and prophet (1 Sam 16:1, 13; 2 Sam 22:4; 5:3; 1Sam 30:7-8; Ps 89:20).

Angels are assigned to watch over man (Ps 91:11-12; 34:7); Five - fold ministers are also assigned to watch over the souls of men (Heb 13:7, 17; 1Pet 5:1-4; Prov 27:23).

Angels are assigned to work with every commissioned church, based on their general and specific mandate (Heb12:22-23).

It is up to man how he relates with his angel. If your ways are right before God, your angel will have a cordial rapport with you, to the Glory of God.

Till today, angels still walk in the company of men, disguised as strangers. Therefore, be good to all and don't forget to entertain strangers (Heb 13:2).

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

4. MAN - ANGEL RELATIONS
1. An angel is a servant in heaven; man is a king on earth.

2. Angels minister to God and man; man ministers to God and man.

3. Angels minister to God in worship, and to man in service; man ministers to God in worship, and to fellow men in service.

4. Angels are at the disposition of man; man can command angels. Not all men can command angels. Only the sons of God can command angels by divine authorization (Job 22:28). Yet, man can't command angels against God's will.

5. The spiritual realm is the platform to relate with angels (Ps 24:3).

6. Every human has an angel. Many have lost contact with their angels because of sin.

7. Your angel does what you do; activities that glorify God. When you are worshipping God, your angel also joins you to worship God. When you play musical instruments to God's glory, your angel also plays it with you to glorify God.

8. An angel is man's advisor; an advisor knows more than the CEO, yet takes order from the CEO.

9. Angels were created to serve (Ps 104:4; Heb 1:14); man was created to rule (Gen 1:26, 28).

10. Man needs angelic assistance to conquer (Dan 6:21-22).

11. Angels are for service; man is for dominion; the only creature giving dominion.

12. Your angel can't force you to do anything; but they can remind you of certain things, all for your own good. Your angel can distract you for divine favour or to rescue you from evil (Job 33:23-24).

13. Man has will and dominion (Deut 30:19; Gen 1:26); Angels have will and might (Ps 103:20; 2 Pet 2:11).

14. Angels stand in God's presence; man also stands in God's presence.

~ Gabriel (Lk 1:19).

~ Zacharias (Lk 1:8-10).

~ Moses and Samuel (Jer 15:1).

~ Every Christian stands in God's presence (Heb 4:16).

15. Angels and men are brethren/fellow servants (Rev 29:10; 22:8-9).

16. Every man has a name; all angels have names. Both man and angels share the same names --- Gabriel, Michael --- (Lk 1:19; Dan 8:16; 9:21; 10:21; 12:1)

17. Both man and angels are sons of God (1 Jn 3:1; Jn 1:12; Rom 8:14; Job 1:6; 38:7).

18. Angels rejoice in heaven over the repentance of a sinner (Lk 15:10). Just like the prodigal son, whose return to his father, prompted a feast (Lk 15:21-24).

19. Man can operate in the realm of angels. Angels are gods; man is a god (Ex 7:1; Ps 82:6; Jn 10:35; Rev 14:3-5; Lk 3:38; Rev 2:28).

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

3. ANGELS AS HOST OF HEAVEN.
"Host of heaven" also refers to angels in some contexts; all angels cutting across rank, order, function and course. Numerous angels are collectively called a host.

3.1. CONTEXTUAL EVIDENCE FOR "HOST OF HEAVEN" REFERRING TO ANGELS
1. Host of heaven (1Kgs 22:19; Neh 9:6)
2. Armies of Heaven (Rev 19:14, 19)
3. Multitude of angels (Lk 2:13)
4. Innumerable company of angels (Heb 12:22)
5. Horses and chariots of fire (2Kgs 6:17)
6. Armies (Job 25:3)
7. God's host (Gen 32:1-2)
7. Fallen angels (Acts 7:42; Rev 9:13-19)

3.2. ANGELS AS STARS OF HEAVEN
1. The rebelion by fallen angels (Rev 12:4)
2. A fallen angel given the key to open the bottomless pit (Rev 9:1)
3. Angels praising God when He created the earth (Job 38:7)
4. When Lucipher harbored sin in his heart by thinking of raising his rank above other angels (Is 14:13)
5. Angelic assistance to Israel against Jabin, king of Canaan, led by Sisera. (Judg 5:20).

3.3. THE NUMBER OF ANGELS
The number of angels is uncountable and therefore, unknown (Job 25:3; Heb 12:22; Lk 2:13; Rev 5:11). Only God knows (Mtt 10:30).

The number of fallen angels is one-third of the angels of light (Rev 12:4).

3.4. FALLEN ANGELS (Rev12:4, 7-9; Jude 1:6; 2 Pet 2:4)
Fallen angels were once angels of light. They once had the same ministry with angels of light. After their fall, they started doing the opposite. They entertained sin and therefore, corrupted their anointing (Ezek 28:17).
All fallen angels still have power. God did not collect the power He gave them, else they will cease to be in operation. God is never threatened by the power He initially gave them because He is the "Omnipotent". Nevertheless, their power became illegal the moment they fell.

3.4.1. ATRIBUTES OF FALLEN ANGELS
1. They have power but no authority.
Authority is the right to act; power is the ability to do.
Power is personal; authority is institutional.
You carry power any where you go. Power is mobile; authority is associated with a position, and it is stationary. If you leave the position, you are relieved of your authority.

2. Fallen angels were relieved of their authority after the war in heaven (Rev12:7-8) when they sinned (Jude1:6; 2Pet 2:4)

3. Fallen angels can never be forgiven.

They lost the right to be called sons of God after their fall. Every Christian is greater than fallen angels because we operate at the level of Christ (Lk 10:19; Mk 16:17-18; Eph 2:6).

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

2.4. THE MILITARY SCENARIO.
In the military, the top brass (generals) can hold portfolios (appointment) in addition to their official military rank.

Not all Generals hold such portfolios because the portfolios are relatively few vis -a -vis the number of available generals.

A 3 - star General with an additional portfolio is not necessarily greater than a non- potfolio 3 - star General, by rank.

They are basically military mates, irrespective of the additional portfolio held.

The portfolio is flexible while the rank remains the same.

The Chief of Defense, Army, Naval and Air staff are not military ranks.

They are portfolios that can be held by 4 - star and 3 - star Generals.

Every General is a soldier, but not every soldier is a General.

Military personnel, from the level of General with their equivalent ranks, can hold such portfolios.

Same thing applies to angelic ranking.

Some angels hold multiple portfolios.

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

2.3. THE CASE OF LUCIFER
Lucifer (Satan) was not the greatest angel in heaven. He was a member of the highest rank of angels, but was not greater than other angels of his class; It was just that he had some previledges, not based on rank, but on function and necessity (Ezek 28:12).

2.3.1. PROOFS THAT LUCIFER WAS NOT THE GREATEST ANGEL
1. The quest and ambition of Lucifer to increase his rank above other angels of his class (Is 14:13).

2. When he lured man to sin against God in Eden, God drove man out of the garden and put angels of the same class with lucifer (cherubim) to guide the way to the tree of life. (Gen 3:24).

If Lucifer was greater than the Cherubim assigned to guide the way to the tree of life, he would have overpowered them to have access to the tree of life.

3. Lucifer was a cherub, a light bearer and a morning star. Other angels also occupy these portfolios (Isa 6:1-2; Job 38:7).

4. In the war in heaven, Lucifer was defeated by Michael, showing that he was not the most powerful angel. (Rev12:7-8).

5. Lucifer was a throne angel, an angel of worship; Michael is a warring angel; an angel of war, the chief of the waring angels, solely created for war and warship (Dan 10:13; 12:1).

Lucifer means "glory to God"; Michael means "who is like unto God?"

Lucifer was a worshipper, a music minister; Michael is a soldier, a warring angel.

Though a musician can be more influential than a soldier, but in battle, a soldier will beat up and defeat a musician any where, anytime. And Michael did this in the war in heaven (Rev 12:7-9).

6. In Rev 20:1-3, an angel is said to lay hold on the devil and cast him into the bottomless pit which shows that there are other angels that are more powerful than the devil.

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.

2.1. THE DEMONIC STRATEGIC APPEX
This includes Satan, Principalities and powers. Their function is high - level demonic and strategic meetings. Satan is also a principality.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoDs) is also a director.

Powers are Heads of Departments (HOD).

Rulers (fallen spirits and promoted human agents) also occassionally hold membership to present or defend proposals, get permits, training and fortifications, and to appear for status and progress report.

Wicked spirits (phantom/territorial/ancestral spirits) are responsible for executing wickedness by working with human agents by means of demonic possession.

2.2. CLASSES OF PRINCIPALITIES
A. Human principities: Top public office holders in earthly Governments (1Tim2:1-2; Titus 3:1; 1Pet 2: 13-14; Rom 13:1).

B. Angelic principalities: High - ranking angels of light (Eph 3:10; 1Pet 3:22)

C. Demonic principalities: Management caucus of the kingdom of darkness (Eph 6:12; Col 2:5; Rom 8:38)

D. Generic principalities: Human, angelic and demonic principalities (Eph 1:21; Col 1:16; Col 2:10; Phil 2:10-11).

** Jesus is the head of all principalities and powers (Col 2:10; 1Pet 3:22).

4. Arch - angels
They stand in God's immediate presence.
Michael, Gabriel, Lucipher. These were chiefs of their various departments.

That is why in the clash between Michael and satan (lucipher) over the body of Moses, Michael respected the angelic heirarchy because they were both angelic mates (Jude 1:9).

The devil (Lucipher) also attacked Gabriel, the Ach -angel, on his way to deliver a message to Daniel. Gabriel and lucipher are both arch -angels, that is why lucipher had the effontry to challenge Gabriel (Dan 10:13).

After delivering the message to Daniel, Gabriel returned to fight with lucipher (Dan 10:20).

If they were not angelic mates, Gabriel would not also have the courage to counter - attack the devil; for Gabriel is an Arch- angel (Lk 1:19; Dan 10:21).

5. Sons of God
All angels, irrespective of their classes, are sons of God (Gen 6:1; Job1:6; 2:1; 38:7). Every Military personnel is a soldier, irrespective of their rank or division. Only Jesus is the "Son of God".

6. Principalities, Powers, Rulers and Wicked spirits (Eph 6:12)
A principality is a high ranking celestial entity exerting great influence on a domain. "Principality" is not a name of any angel, either standing or fallen.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) is not a rank or a name of any Military personnel. Rather, it is an office/portfolio that can be held by high ranking Military personnel.

Principalities, Powers, Rulers and Spiritual wickedness in high places are spiritual positions in a top - down commad hierarchy (chain of command), occupied by fallen angels in the dark kingdom.

The context of Eph 6:12 describes the organizational structure of the kingdom of darkness.

* Board chairman: Satan
* Top management: Principalities
* Middle managment: Powers
* Lower management: Rulers of darkness (some human agents can rise to the level of rulers of darkness)
* Operating core: Wicked spirits in conjunction with human agents.

2. CLASSES OF ANGELS
All angels are sons of God, irrespective of their ranks. Some angels hold multiple portfolios. The higher the rank, the more leverage they are given to higher mysteries.

1. Cherubim (Gen 3:24; Ezek 1: 5; 10:3, 20).
Throne angels worshiping in God's immediate presence (Rev 4:8; 7:11; 19:4).
Lucipher was a cherub (Ezek 28:14,16).
Cherubim can traverse the earth in a jiffy with lightening speed but they are not onmipresent.

2. Seraphim (Is 6:2)
High-ranking, light - bearing angels.
An angel guided the israelites as a pillar of fire in the wilderness (Ex 14:19-20, 24; Ps105:39).
An angel went down to trouble the pool of Bethesda to heal whomsoever first jumped in (Jn 5:4).
They are described as fiery serpents (Isa 30:6; Num 21:8-9; Isa 14:29).

Lucifer is described as:
* Serpent in Eden (Gen 3:1, 14-15)
* The old serpent (Rev 12:9)
* Dragon (Ps 91:13; Rev 12:3)
* The prince of Percia (Dan 10:13)
* The king of Tyrus (Ezek 28:12)
* Leviathan, a high - ranking fallen angel, is also described as a serpentine dragon (Ps 74:14; Job 41:1, 34; Is 27:1; Rev 13:1)

** We have power over all classes of fallen angels (Lk 10:19; Rev 12:13).

3. Morning stars
A council of high ranking angels (Job 38:7). Cherubim and seraphim are also morning stars.

Only Jesus is "The Morning Star" who is worshipped by all other morning stars (Rev 22:16; Num 24:17; Heb 1:6, 8).

Lucipher was a morning star (Is 14:12).

In an organization, members of the Board of Directors (BODs) can be executive directors, non-executive directors or independent non - executive directors depending on board composition, diversity, compensation, vested interest and regulation, amongst other variables.

Same applies with angelic ranking.
