Setting up Afrigrants Foundation was from a grateful heart turned to becoming an Impact tool of giving back.

Gifted girls has been able to impact the lives of over 600 girls from under priviledged backgrounds in lagos.

An exchange program and initiative that gets girls to compete with priviledged International girls ending in a competition where our girls have come up Tops dusting the highly priviledged girls for 3 consecutive years now.

here are millions of girls in the world who aren't lucky enough to go to school. Here's an insight into their lives and what we can do to help..
Secondary education could save more than a million lives
If all the girls currently not in education did complete secondary school, it's believed a massive 1.8 million lives could be saved every year. Studies show girls are three times less likely to get HIV, thanks to school lessons on safe s*x and disease prevention.

We put money into the company, so we're going to run it if it's the last thing we do, but what the pandemic allowed me to do is to rest. It allowed me to grow spiritually because I was confused. I was like, what's going on what's going on in this world? It allowed me to also identify my purpose, which to me, has now become my voice. I spoke on conferences before, but now, finding God through grow spiritually. Finding my purpose, gave me a voice, which has enabled me to grow spiritually, then body and mind, and I keep on letting young people know who are about to jump into business. Please, please, please put God first. Put God first. Find your purpose. And then you find your voice. Because once you have that you will be so confident to do whatever it is that God has put in your heart. And now ladies and gentlemen, as I said earlier, TKC we support initiatives with startups, we support big we do training, and we have some of the best companies partnering with us, even though we have gone through this dry spell. So that is the life of the business person. I thought I had a minute left, maybe show you areas, but I think I'll leave that to another time. Thank you very much for this opportunity. And I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Again, I'm not saying anything against my team members because they something happened to them and we're all in the same band, but for whatever reason, the attackers at gunpoint literally opened my car door, I'll sit in the front, closed it as if they didn't see me, but then they went behind and robbed everything from everybody else, even their suitcases. Maybe I should also say, thank God, I had a big heavy suitcase and so they couldn't carry my suitcase and run. But anyway, so that's what's happened but I had my passport, I had my pulse I had everything and because of that, I had to spearhead the meeting in South Africa because my other colleagues had to go to the embassies and figure out what happened. So I was so happy I was protected by the angels of God. And I was so happy. I knew my work to be able to lead the team during the conference at YALI in South Africa.
And then lo and behold, the pandemic happened last year. I know it has impacted everybody. But of course as a consultant, it heavily impacted me as well. And my company, I quickly put my junior team, my analyst, got them some scholarships, help them get, you know, opportunities elsewhere, and just me and my directors we made to run the company because obviously

Now in the UK in 2012, the second financial crisis happened in my lifetime and that was triggered by the subprime loans and everything. And so at that opportunity, God opened the door for me to move from the UK to Ghana. And I was working with a New York based venture capital firm. Again, I did not start the crisis, but something landed in my inbox so which was amazing. While in Ghana, as I said before, I rebranded the knowledge channel to TKC in 2014. And we had one of our big main contracts was with YALI. YALI is President Obama's young African Leadership Initiative and we were in charge of the recruiting and like, selecting for the West Africa region, so we had nine countries under us that we were responsible for. The beginning of YALI, we had to go to South Africa, to enable us to like meet other team members and I think people from the State Department came from America, but first in South Africa, we just landed from the airport heading to our hotel, and for whatever reason we were in the wrong guest taxi from the airport, and we were attacked at gunpoint. Yes, but God again, in His mercy showed me favour.

In 2007, I happen to be in China when we had the first global financial crisis. Maybe some of you were not born at that time. But around that time, as I was in China, I had operations like my apartment everything in Americans I had just come from America to China to work and to consult. And when that happened, I had to close some of my operations in the US or leave China, and relocate to the UK. So even though at the moment it was scary, it was challenging. I still see it as a glass half full because I relocated to my comfort zone. Then in 2010 Whilst I was living and working in Nigeria, we had the Nigerian banking crisis. I was working in Nigerian banks. So you can imagine but honestly, that opportunity I was part of the team helping to resell to people who were released from the particular bank I was working in, and I used opportunity to get a very handsome package to relocate again back to the UK, the UK always seems to be my comfort zone. Remember, I'm Ghanaian Austria, so I had the opportunity to work and live in the UK and my sister was there. So the UK again is my comfort zone

So as I quickly go, and just go quickly and talk about a bit of myself. I've been in business for a long time, mainly 10 years, but obviously I've had other contracts as a consultant beyond the 10 years of me operating the knowledge Channel and that has honestly been so fascinating. But I want you to take notes here a bit, because I'm quickly going to quiz you at the end to see if you remember these things. When people talk about business, it's like risk. Yes, high risk high returns, they say it's all about risk. But once you can overcome those risk once you can see the glass as half full instead of half empty, you're always going to move higher, because you're going to overcome bigger risk, and then you're going to get bigger rewards. I know it's I can have a whole speech on this. But let's just talk about some of the risks we went through, or I went through as the CEO of the knowledge channel. Obviously sometimes it incorporates my company and the people around me. So firstly, when you run a business too, sometimes you are impacted by what happens around you. So what happens, you know, globally, like what is happening now in the pandemic, and I want you to see that, even though I'm a God fearing person, you still going to overcome certain things, and it's how you overcome them It's how you move forward. And I want every young person out there to know Yes, you are a female So you're going to overcome things just because of being a female, but then you're also going to overcome things that are out that are out of your control. And so that's what I want you to get from some of the things that I’ve gone through becoming a business person today and through running my business.

Ms. Hannah Acquah, Founder and CEO, TKC Africa
Ghana.
3rd Speaker.

So welcome, ladies and gentlemen I know is mainly women, young ladies. I hope you have your notepads and everything, because as a business person, I love to always leave nuggets of information that could be useful. But let's talk a bit about me and then maybe the last five minutes, we'll share the information that I think I really want you to write down.
So as you know, I am Ghanaian Austrian, but I'm currently in Ghana, and we operate the knowledge Channel, which basically works with international financiers looking for opportunities on the continent. The good news, I'll just quickly say now for about TKC (The knowledge channel) Africa is that we work with startups through our partnership with We Do in Germany. We also work with big large contracts big deal so anyone thinking big or maybe growing their business again reach out to us. That's what our partnership with BSG is some family offices, again in Germany. And then obviously, we're very passionate about capacity building and training, helping young people and seniors identified their careers headhunting, whatnot, basically talent acquisition and I want to make sure I leave some nuggets of information with the young people we're speaking with today.

Am just going to end with your purpose, so at the end of the day, what’s driving you, is your purpose. So always ask yourself ,why am I doing this ?so when I feel like am getting off or changing cause or like just joining the crowd or joining with everybody else is doing ,always remember why am I doing this ,what is my purpose and this will always bring you back ,it will give you the courage to through obstacles ok and if doing that ,you are thinking long team ,longevity ,activity ,what you want to do , and build within the sector, because there are so many different things that are clamoring for your attention ,what you want to build is the thing that last ,ok and then your purpose will always enable you what you are passionate about ,will help you stay the cause and so that ,you are truly doing what you are created to do, and giving your gift to the world in the sector.

27/11/2021

And that also leads me to character, so your talent are your natural talent will only take you so far but your character is going to keep you there. The entertainment industry can be so difficult to navigate, because you are working with so many people ,so many different projects, so once you realize that so many people will not remember the rule you played on stage but they will remember the rule you played in their life’s ,so everyone is important, everybody so from the security guy ,to the lighting crew ,to catering assistances ,to executive producer ,most important everybody ,not just the people you are selling to but the people you are working with, it’s the experience of you working together that common that you have on each project that actually move you up from project to project ,ok so as much as its within your power try to build and not break bridges ,so those bridges are the very ones that will move across.
In addition I will talk about this , you align with people who share your values. So this may not always be possible and you can’t always work with people who share your values but certainly along the way you will find key partners ,key collaborators ,who will be on that same side as you are ,and then you stick with them, build co-crate and you learn ,formidable network.
