Left Benin for Lagos this morning, my friend Sam Ahanotu saw me off to the bus stop at Oluku which was just by the Benin/Sagamu express way.
Normally me nor dey enter Soole but as Sam himself na transporter and many times I followed his Sienna, him dey always pick passengers for road and it is a norm.
After about 5 mins, A sienna approached and we flagged it down.
Negotiated 7k to Ojodu Berger and I entered.
One person don dey front already, for the middle sit there were two women, and the back seat patapata, there was a kid of about 6 and a woman.
I sat in the middle with the two women and the journey started
We got to Okada, we were flagged down at a check point that two people were headed Lagos so I had to adjust to the back patapata where the kid and the women were.
The other two new people enter the seat I left.
Na so this child go dey push my leg because he wanted to have a wide space to spread his own.
I was even thinking it was a child one off thing until he kept on doing it and almost sobbing while tapping his mom to interfere.
As the boy match me wetin nor good, I did my own back and na so e start to cry ekun egbere.
The mom who apparently have been waiting to explode on me started by asking the boy wetin happen and I bluntly told the woman the back seat is big enough for the three of us to exist but her child kept on stepping on me and I adjusted his leg.
Na so the woman just face driver in Benin language o, mixing it with English and I grabbed a little she was saying. Apparently they were a couple coming from a private journey 😂😂
She mentioned how the husband na very greedy man and this journey was supposed to be just them or rather he should respect them enough to keep the back seat clear of any passenger but no, that love for money nor go gree am say see am na, stranger don beat your pikin.
Na so I defend myself o
I didn't touch this child, I just adjusted myself and I absolutely have no idea what is wrong with him
Na so driver dey shout "Joshua don't cry, do you want banana"
Na so him wife dey look me bombastic side eye and muttered some words that sounded like "yahoo boy" but I wasn't really sure but I heard boy.
Na so husband dey tell wife say she dey very disrespectful and as if this money won't help them cook good food tonight
Wife wanted comfort.
Husband wanted to hustle
I come dey middle.
Till we reach Lagos the boy nor match me again
That's was a win for me.
No time for rubbish.
