It was never sheer luck for a learning intervention portfolio program to be supported by a leading communication brand in Nigeria.

Let us create some insights into this incredible story...

Some days ago, some Unusual School learners got scholarships to be part of this year's program on Financial literacy by Money Africa sponsored by MTN Nigeria.

This was a dream come true to the team and the children. It was bagged as a symbol of our continuous commitment to providing learning opportunities to indigent children as we bridge the gap.

To further consolidate on our mandate to ensure that our learners are readied with the prerequisite skills for the future, our learning hub will be the "game-changer" - the process is on!

We also used that opportunity to inaugurate our back-to-school campaign for the children.

It was euphoria for the children as they delight in the relief of the materials they got from us.

We sincerely appreciate all our friends, families, colleagues, partners, and others who have shown support for this initiative.

𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅

Investing in children's education is one of the basis for sustaining broad-based economic growth.

Childhood experiences hugely contribute to the adults the kids grow up to be.

The urge to positively invest in our children today in the area of education will in turn impact greatly on the economy in future generations.

Going into environments where children have little or no access to quality education is a daily experience but what keeps us going and sharing our knowledge with them is the desire and burning passion we see in their eyes.

At Unusual School, the physical, and psychological wellbeing of our learners are well considered before teaching/learning takes place.

The way education is being delivered needs to be re-imagined for communities in need - because learning cannot wait!

Photos from Unusual School's post 14/06/2021

Every child deserves to be supported by their community to learn and develop to become a relevant contributor to the society.

we strive to create equal learning opportunity in education to children in the rural communities regardless of their differences and free from any form of socio-economic discrimination.

We believe in our rural learners' pre-existing knowledge and skills hence we create the right learning environment that supports achievable success.

We are Unusual School,
We Bridge the Learning Gap!

Photos from Unusual School's post 10/06/2021

Providing Quality, Affordable and Accessible Education to children in the rural communities in this era of "Life long learning" is a key component to an inclusive and progressive society where millions of children are getting education but not learning effectively.

we believe today's children aren't just the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today and tomorrow and equipping them with the basic tools for effective learning is a major part of what we do

We bridge the Learning Gap
We are Unusual School.

Unusual weekend...

It was an eventful weekend as we were on schedule for a presentation that had delegates from the United Nations. The UN SDG advocates were all on schedule to be part of the event. The president of Ghana too!
Wow!

The Unusual School is one of the 10 cohorts of the HHMSII 1MT challenge.

The "fireside chat" we had wasn't the usual one we've had in the past as it had delegates from different parts of the world in attendance.

Great insights...
Great discussions... Positive feedbacks... Connections... Recommendations...
Networking...

It was a huge honor showcasing what we do at Unusual School on such a platform.

Thanks to 1 Million Teachers Muhammad Sanusi II.

On behalf of thousands of children you've impacted, we celebrate you today.

Happy birthday Teachernimi George.

It has been hours running into days, days traversing into weeks and months of planning, and finally, we have our first learning hub for the underprivileged children in Ekoro a suburb community in Abule Egba, Lagos.

Our vision is to create as many as possible, learning hubs in different communities in Lagos.

Herculean!

We don't see challenges, we only see opportunities to reach out to more children and equip them for the future.

In readying the children for their future, we have to help them with divergent thinking through the knowledge of tech skills and others.

This Saturday, we launch our first learning hub, we really wouldn't savour the jamborees.

Call to duty.

Join us.

Ekoro is the community.

The learning hub is the haven.

Unusual school is the portfolio driving the change.

Reaching the unreached.

Bridging the learning gap!
