Kokoro Recipe

Ingredients:

*1 cup corn flour/corn meal( the coarse type)
*2 tablespoonful of sugar
*A pinch of grated *Ginger(optional)
*A pinch of Chili Pepper (optional)
*A pinch of Salt
*Oil for frying

Cooking Steps:

*In a small bowl, add half cup of the cornmeal, sugar, pepper, salt and grated ginger. Mix thoroughly and set aside

* Pour half cup of water into a pot, leave to boil and then add the mixed corn meal, stir continuously until you get a stretchy mix that looks just like Eba (you would notice the change in the mixture).

*Place the corn meal in a big bowl, cover and leave to cool completely

* When it is cooled, add the remaining cornmeal and knead until smooth.

* Take a little portion and roll in between your palm, you can also roll it on a flat table to get a longer shape.

*Repeat this process for the remaining dough.

* Now heat up some vegetable oil until hot and fry the rod shaped dough until it hardens.

*Remove the Kokoro and place on sieve lines with paper towels, to remove excess oil.

Leave to cool and ENJOY!

𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭

It is a type of decorating powder used in cake decorating to add colour and sparkle and shine.
There are different brands, varieties and colours of Luster dust.

1. 𝐋𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭: It adds sparkle, shine and a fair amount of colour.

2. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭: it usually comes in gold and silver. It gives a high sheen metallic finish .

3. 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭 :This has a matte finish and produces a deep strong colour .It is often used to decorate sugar flowers. It comes in all types of colours.

4. 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭 : It is almost like Luster dust but impacts more colour and shine.

5. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭 : It has the largest grains of shine and makes items pop out .

6. 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭: it usually comes in white. When applied on fondant covered cakes, it gives the cake a glow, especially when there’s a light reflection on the cake.

7. 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲: Just as the name suggests it is a spray that usually comes in gold and silver and can be sprayed directly onto any item that needs metallic sheen.
