QUIT NEVER! TAKE A BREAK.... YES!

There are times in your life when it just seems like all your efforts are not yielding any result. A launch flopped. Your business hit a set back. It could be a more personal issue, you perhaps experienced a health scare. Unfortunately, that’s a part of life. The thing to keep in mind, as Rocky Balboa would say, “it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”

Setbacks are normal, but developing the resilience to carry on and pick up where you left off is what is required.

Consider that even though everything seems wrong, it’s only temporary. Life has a really funny way of turning things around. You just have to be patient and work your way to that point.

Ann Landers once said, “Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and repeat to yourself, the most comforting words of all; this, too, shall pass.” While it seems simple, it can be a good way to maintain your motivation.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

Hi guys! Pardon my absence these dew days. My little one was really sick. You know how it is with Moms and their kids; everything pales into insignificance when your kids are not at their best health wise.

So, to today's marketing tip: I'm no creator and I don't have a huge following there but being a marketing person, I want to remind us their must always be a strategy behind using any platform you're on especially if it ends in business.

Implement this strategy and create a marketing funnel for your TikTok efforts and start seeing tangible results as regards lead capture, generation, conversion and finally sales.

BEING LAZY IS A GOOD IDEA.

Read my caption to understand why I made the above statement.

In this era of hustling🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️💰💲 and the output-obsessed atmosphere, the ability to boldly proclaim, “I would rather not work,” is indeed a virtue.😇😇😇

When I first built my business, I did it all myself. I made my own social media posts, graphics, website (which I somehow forgot to pay for hosting some time back and so the website is zilch!). Why do you think I haven't started email marketing...? 🙄

I got very tired of it.

Laziness (I mean, the planning and time that goes into these things, meehhnn) inspired me to:

- delegate tasks I was bad at, or that took me a long time.

- spend some brainpower figuring out the fastest and easiest way to do stuff in the future, like setting up automated systems as much as I could.

-freed up my time to develop myself and learn strategies on how to grow my business as well as help others do the same.

So, now you know what I meant by my headline; laziness breeds efficiency.

As a Virtual Assistant by training and skill, we tend to constantly learn and upskill both services and skills. Old clients get confused when we change our services and normally try to find out how they fit into the whole picture of ours buisiness.

Well, today I’m jumping into your feed to set things straight. So, here’s what you need to know: I help you (if you are an entrepreneur or service based businesses) to scale your business by turning your knowledge/services into digital products. I help you with the process of creating and launching your products to your community or target audience. Think of me as your business marketing sidekick.

I also help you outsource some of the work required so that you can remain focused on launching your product to the world.

I feel extremely fulfilled as I now know what my purpose it based on my passion and what I know I can do to help people that need my help.

Having worked as a VA and Social Media Manager, I felt unfulfilled. I was helping yes, but I was becoming unfulfilled.

I knew I had to change something because I had gotten to a point where I wasn't feeling motivated anymore.

Right now, I'm focused on helping entrepreneurs, solopreneurs or small business take that knowledge or skill they have and use it to scale and automate their businesses for profit.

I'm leaning towards more on content marketing and design; design of landing pages or sales pages or opt ins call them what you like as well as design for social media marketing projects.

As entrepreneurs we need to keep on evolving and changing until we find what works for us. That is when we make a huge splash of impact in our lives as well as the lives of those we want to truly serve.

When we discover what truly serves our community, we derive joy and fulfilment at the end.

For the past month, I’ve been {mostly} offline. Resting. Recharging. Unlearning. Learning. Relearning and reflecting on the year that has been…
Here are a few things that shaped my year; some good and some not so good:
⚡️I struggled a lot especially during the last half of the year... so many issues affecting my mental health that impacted my work out put.
⚡️💛In the time that all the craziness was going on, I learnt to put my mental health first above everything else.
⚡️💛I love who I am - and the person I forever continue to evolve into every day.
⚡️💛I love what I do {and what I am planning to do} - and I love who I get to do it with {aka YOU and the incredible community that I intend to build!}
⚡️💛And I love how I get to do it - I love that fact that I am forever true to the values I set out from day one here at VEOBS.

And here’s why I wanted to share this with you:

I know we can be bombarded constantly with different versions of success; Cash. Sales. Followers. Impact. Milestones. Numbers. Graphs. Goals.

And they can seem so distracting like “If I haven’t hit XYZ or done XYZ that so-and-so has, does that mean I’m a failure?”

But here’s the thing… 👉There’s no one version of success in life OR business. 👈{put that on replay}.

None of those things are right or wrong. Someone else’s feel-good-goal may not mean that's yours too. What my version of success is, will not be yours. AND you know what...THAT's OK!

So in case YOU need this today, in case you’ve been feeling ‘less than’ as you haven’t hit someone ELSE’S version of success, this is your reminder as we roll forwards continuously into 2022, to take a second to recentre yourself. To reflect on what would make YOU feel like you’ve ‘made it’ and focus on that for the year ahead. ⚡️💛

And once you find your version of success, I hope that it helps to inspire YOU every day to do what you do wholeheartedly as much as finding mine has and is still inspriring me despite the odds.

Oh and before I forget, happy new month to you.

Hello guys...

I know I've slowed down a lot since the beginning of the month. Too much going on and I actually stepped back from posting on social media just to take care of myself.

I've closed officially for the year since Christmas Eve just haven't gotten round to informing y'all.

I will be away for the whole of January 2022.

This is the first time this year since I started my business that I'll be taking this length if time away from active work and just focus on me alone.
I can't wait to knock off from the pressures of work. You would have imagined that following your dream and serving your tribe would give you that freedom you truly wanted. But truly the reverse is the case sometimes as we forget ourselves and focus on others and their dreams.
Wishing you lots of light, peace and joy this festive season and as the New Year beckons.

Balance is needed now more than ever in today's business world.

As the saying goes, you can do anything but not everything.

As an entrepreneur or SBO (Small Business Owner) who wears many hats, how do you create balance in your business-life?

This is a post I put up 4 years ago. Thank FB for their reminders. I think this still applies ow more than ever with the way social media has practically take over our lives like we knew it before. I hope this encourages someone out there who's overwhelmed by all the noise and fluff out there.

"This spoke to me deeply. A lot of times you see people scroll through other people's social media pages and they seem to be doing great and you wish and wish that you were like them, or had the same success as they.

My dear, it's okay to admire and also be inspired by peoples' success but a no-no to compare yourself/successes with them.

You don't know what they had to pass through to achieve their level of success. Can you pay the price or make the sacrifices involved in getting there?

You go wound o!

Please, set "smart" goals, and be consistent in doing the right things at the right time and continue to trust in God for all your needs. It all adds up; and at the right time you'll surely achieve success."

Why is it that between 25% and 50% of people report feeling overwhelmed or burned out at work?

Wherever we go, our work follows us, on our digital devices, ever insistent and intrusive. It’s like an itch we can’t resist scratching, even though scratching invariably makes it worse.

As individuals or biz owners you need to set some boundaries to avoid burn out.

Consider imbibing these behaviours to increase your productivity and reduce your stress levels:

- Do the most important thing first in the morning, preferably without interruption, for 60 to 90 minutes, with a clear start and stop time.

- Establish regular, scheduled times to think more long term, creatively, or strategically in a different environment from which you are working If you don’t, you’ll constantly succumb to the tyranny of the urgent. 

- Take real and regular vacations. Real means that when you’re off, you’re truly disconnecting from work. Regular means several times a year if possible, even if some are only two or three days added to a weekend.

To truly engage with your fans, it's best to showcase your journey, not just the outcome. It doesn't matter if it's a service based business or a product business. For example, for a service based business if you're a VA for starters, you could show case the behind the scenes work you're doing for your client like in terms of Web design or FB Ads or even your on- boarding process. Capish?

It may feel natural to only show the shiny end product, but your fans will be much more authentically bought into your work if they feel they are a part of the process as well.

You could decide to post lives, photos, videos, and blogs about how you did something, not just what you did. ❤️

How do you set the tone for the day?

Do you know that working on yourself first before working on/in your business can determine how much you can achieve in your life or business?

Granted, there are days when it's a struggle to keep up with being a Solopreneur in your entrepreneurial journey but being disciplined is one of the keys to owning a successful business.

I have struggled a lot with this; I battle every day with the challenges in my environment that keep me from achieving all that I want for myself. There are times when I let those challenges overwhelm me but you know what? I get back up again because it is only I that can change the narrative for myself. I focus on meditations (the Bible or a devotional can help) and affirmations to help my mindset. It's not even about motivation. Motivation is a luxury that comes and goes, discipline sticks with you until you say otherwise.

In order to become successful, we need to change as a person instead of searching for "Tips and tricks to be successful (which most of us try to do, (nah don't lie to yourself 😊)).

Once again, it’s all about making a decision.

So my advice to you (and to myself of course): start with yourself and not your business. You’re the reason, and therefore you’re the only one that can solve whatever is keeping you from attaining your goals.
