The argument started that women all should look natural and not use/attach anything artificial to their body. So many African women within conservative pentecostal churches were made to believe that it is a "sin" to use makeup, hair attachment, powder, earrings, etc to beautify the body. This article will blow your mind, please share this & let's read on.

I am a construction professional and I will analyse/simplify here how we beautify houses in building construction. The foundation concrete are laid first after which we add block walls, doors, windows, plumbing/electrical items, roof, cement plaster and paint. If God wants us to use things only in their natural state why then do we apply cement plaster/paint to make our block walls smooth? Does Kumuyi live in a mud house (natural house)? God created natural dusty road but we construction experts apply bitumen asphalt to make the road smooth and durable. For Kumuyi and his doctrine of naturals to be correct he has to start driving only on natural roads without asphalt. God did not create asphalt. God did not create cement. We humans learnt how to mix natural resources made by God together to produce them and apply to beautify our buildings and roads.

The various finishing materials used in building construction are used to add beauty and increase the value of the property. So we use wall tiles, floor tiles, POP ceiling, paints, etc. All these add beauty and conceal the ugly looking concrete or blocks underneath. You will agree with me that a house well finished with tiles and marble will attract higher value. Ask Developers or go to Lekki/Ikoyi.

Have you been to Israel before? The land of Israel that produced Jesus. Have you seen how young women dress in Israel? Google it now or go to YouTube and search for "Wedding in Israel." My African Church leaders probably know Jesus more than the Jews. My mother is a victim of this myopic view of African pentecostal Church leaders who misinterprete bible to force women to dress a certain unconventional way looking awkward in global settings. No wonder there are no whitemen or white women that ever embraced the awkward dressing philosophy of Kumuyi's women. And maybe all European, Chinese and American women are all going to hell fire "according to Deeper Life".

Bro & Sisters Natural; If you can apply cement plaster to your building and later apply paint on it to beautify it; then why will it be wrong to apply makeup on the human body? If you truly want to live 100% natural then you should live in mud houses and drive on dusty roads without any artificial cement or asphalt on it. Can you eat natural food made by God without cooking them? The cooking/baking add more value to the food and increase its value. Ask restaurant owners making profits daily.

There are many other things that add value to women like proper education, culture and religious morals in addition to dressing and looking good. A woman should be a total package of brains and beauty. I do not support indecent dressing either. And I do not support exposure of private body parts. A woman's clothing should cover up all her body parts. And women should be allowed/encouraged to use makeup and do any hairstyle of their choice.

Dear fanatical pentecostal leaders, stop making our women look old and ugly at the prime of their life. How many women looking like that are leaders/captains of industry? How many women looking like that have been counted among great political leaders? Let us preach moderation and empower women and stop creating stereotypes of women looking morose and melancholic in the name of holiness.

Most of these fanatically dressed women have been found to be sadists, unforgiving and antisocial. There is a need for inclusivity as regards woman dressing in this generation. The born again syndrome has been overflogged and there's need for rebranding. The Kumuyi effect has been good in the area of impacting morals and speaking against evil. However when it comes to the stereotype dressing made for their women a rethink is highly necessary.

Women usually dress well in the following churches; Baptist, Catholic, Anglican, Daystar, Foursquare, Winners, RCCG, Fountain of Life, Citadel, Methodist, etc. You rarely find any indecent dressing in those churches mentioned. Yes they use makeup and they will make it to heaven as well just like any other women that don't use makeup majority of whose character underground is questionable. My greetings to Victor Oracle Lola, Mary's dad for this great insight (selah). African women please don't live an ugly life. Life is too short. You only live once.
