Our RHF Team Osun, led by the amazing , visited Heritage of Kings Model School and First Class International School on International Girl Child Day. We had inspiring conversations, shared knowledge, and made sure these girls have the support they need. Together, we're investing in girls' rights, their leadership, their well-being, and their incredible potential. 🙌💕

Tomorrow is International Girl Child Day, and we're celebrating it with immense joy in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria! Our theme for this special day is 'Empowering Girls Today for a Brighter Tomorrow: Our Leadership, Our Well-being, Our Future.' We believe in the power of girls to shape a better world.

As part of our celebration, we're proud to announce that we'll also be donating sanitary pads to the wonderful girls in our host school. It’s that time again!!, our Rural summer program is here💃💃👏🏾👏🏾 tagged “Skill up”!

Every year, RHF selects a rural community to organise its programme and for this year, the host community will be local communities in Badagry, Lagos State (the exact community will be communicated). As hosts, members of the community will receive hands-on training in vocational and digital skills. Vocational training sessions will cover skills such as hairdressing and hairstyling, beadmaking, fashion designing/catering, and crocheting amongst others. Digital skills however will comprise digital marketing and graphics design.

The programme starts on Monday, August 28th to Saturday, September 8th, 2023 aims to empower women and youths in the local community with skills that will aid personal development and serve as a pathway to employment and entrepreneurship.

Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver. It’s mostly caused by the viral strains of Hepatitis. There are 5 major types of hepatitis ranging from Hepatitis A,B,C,D and E. The most common viral hepatitis is the Hepatitis A,B and C.

Hepatitis A and E are known as Acute hepatitis cause one can get cured with proper nutrition and a good life style. It’s transmitted through F***l oral route I.e Ingesting contaminated food or water with the viral strain. On rare cases and without proper treatment, Hepatitis A and E viruses can become severe causing Hepatomegaly (enlargement of the liver). There is a vaccination for Hepatitis A virus. Ensure you get vaccinated.

Hepatitis B virus is more Severe than Hepatitis A virus. It is transmitted through blood or contact with fluid substance such as sweat. There is no cure for Hepatitis B infection. But one can be vaccinated.

Hepatitis C virus is a malignant form of Hepatitis virus. It causes so many complications and if not properly handled can be life threatening. There is no vaccination.

Other causes of Hepatitis infection are Excessive Alcoholism, certain medications like excessive use of Acetaminophen , Autoimmune diseases, liver diseases, etc.

Hepatitis infection has mostly the same signs and symptoms e.g Weakness, jaundice, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, constipation, itchiness, Dark urine caused by elevated bilirubin levels etc

Hepatitis virus can be prevented through Vaccination, Proper disposal of sewage ,Adequate safe drinking water.

Ensure you stay vaccinated

Vaccination is a lifesaver, not a dead sentence.

NAME: ANIFOWOSHE QODIAT YEUNDE
LOCATION: LAGOS, NIGERIA.

Qodiat Anifowoshe, fondly called Amama is a 300level philosophy student of Lagos State University. She is a Jesus Addict, promising, and vision-oriented teenage change maker. She is a Writer, who advocates for teenagers and young adults through writing. She became an author at the age of Nineteen(19), with the book DIARY TO HOPE and Her Second Book Journey To 20 at the age of Twenty (20). Her passion for teenagers started the initiative RAISING RESPONSIBLE MINDS FOUNDATION.

RAISING RESPONSIBLE MINDS FOUNDATION is a Non-Governmental Organization geared towards building and raising unique, Godly teens and youths who will stand out irrespective of their background. The foundation is an advocate of SDGs 3, 5, and 17. To achieve their goals, they reach out to schools and also make use of online platforms.

She derives Joy in speaking which was fully discovered in 2017 when she was the supportive speaker of the winning school at the Lagos @50 Secondary School Literacy and Debate Competition, in her pursuit to reach out to more teenagers and young adults, her passion for speaking has birthed a Podcast channel with the name Amama4teen podcast. She has spoken in over 10 schools, and programs such as Teenage Girls Focus International Day of the Girl Child, The Trail Blazers Mind Initiative, etc including Our Circuit (A Saturday Talk Show for Teenagers) on Eko FM 89.7.

Qodiat is a clear definition of "I won't be limited by my background." She is skilled in shoemaking and wig making to support and achieve her vision of raising independent and vision-oriented teenagers like her. She is driven by goals to solve problems and not to add to problems.

Her passion goes beyond empowering teenagers, she loves acting and modelling, but she is able to showcase her acting skills in church drama. During leisure, she is either reading, seeing movies, chatting, sleeping, painting, counselling, or fellowshipping. She is a Gold going through the refining process, she won't stop until she is fully refined.

Her philosophy is "Get so busy doing it, that you don't know who is not." Beyond the above, she is a lover of art, an Ambivert, and a serial volunteer.
