We mourn the exit of a global icon and pillar of strength per excellence- Otunba (Dr.) Michael Olasubomi Balogun, GCON.

As an Honorary and Distinguished .Member of the CPEF Board of Patrons, the passage to eternal glory of the Olori Omo-Oba Akile Ijebu & the Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Ijebu Christians represent an Irreparable and irreplaceable loss not just to Ijebu Land, Ogun State and Nigeria, but to us who were privileged to associate with his greatness while he lived.
We'll surely miss him.

I relish with great nostalgia your ambience, sagacity and generosity when I and colleague had a rare honour of being in your official audience at your 12th floor Office at the sprawling First City Plaza, FCMB Corporate HQ in Lagos. You made us friends at that meeting, and we were to meet you again, and prayed for your ailing darling wife, while we came for your message for the Office at your Olori Omo-Oba Place residence, Ikoyi, Lagos.

We take solace that Your Eminence fought a good fight of faith and finished strong at 89. You left indelible legacy on the sands of time. You were at peace with all men and with your maker. May you find peace in Paradise. Amen!

Indeed, the titans are going home. "The heavens themselves blaze forth the death of Princes."

Senior Citizens and Members mourn the painful exit of Bro. Adeyinka Benson - first son of Mrs. Oluwagbemiga O. T. Benson, Board Member & Chairman, Local Mgt. Board The Mobolaji Johnson Vocational Skill Acquisition Centre, Yaba at the age of 51 following a protracted illness.

The death of Mr. 'Yinka Benson represents a colossal, Irreparable and irreplaceable loss, not just to Ikorodu, Lagos State and Nigeria, but in the Body of Christ where served God and humanity with love, compassion and diligence to the end.

We pray for the comfort and succour of Heaven upon his family, friends and loved ones. "To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die."

We enjoin younger members, partners and friends of the City Profs to kindly join us through the funeral events of our dearly departed brother.

May the gentle soul of Mr. Adeyinka Benson by the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen!!!!
