Recently completed an Internationally Certified Career Analyst Course in furtherance of my quest for qualitative delivery of Career Coaching and Guidance Services to our numerous clients.

As we all begin this new week I want to remind us of this thought, that it happened for just three and half years!
Yes the greatest impact ever made or would possibly ever be made by a living person was effectively done for three and half years and the impact has spanned two thousand years and still counting.
Now that can be applied in different ways. It could mean you have already made some huge impacts in life or on people that you are not giving yourself credit for. Meaning you can take the pressure off yourself and show gratitude for the grace and ability for those three and half years at any point in your past life that you have made those significant impact be it in School, career, voluntary work, family, community or social life.
Without you and want you did or contributed at those times, some people could have died, some visions could not have manifested, some relationships or marriages would never have seen the light of day, some lives could not have found direction, some families could have been in disarray and some children would not have been born or nurtured.
So any three and half years period you have lived so far could have already fulfilled your greatest purpose of being alive. Only eternity can truly tell. Be thankful you were able to fulfill your purpose and make those contributions to humanity when you did. What you have done mattered and counted in the books of the creator.

The second point of application is that your life could be about the next three and half years starting today! It could so be you have come this far, gone through all those hardships, hurts and experiences in preparation for the next three and half years. So you need to be conscious to give it your best in the kindest of heart and attitude not knowing the exact moment that the measurement will be taken by the creator. Be determined to give the world the best version of you over the next three and half years beginning today.

And lastly maybe your life and purpose is still about a certain three and half years still far into the future. Be determined to wait it out and get there. Don't give up now. Don't take your life or take the life of others. Your three and half years of lasting significance is up ahead. You need to be determined to stay the course and get to live it. Remember for every Mark Zuckerberg that made success early in life, their is a Colonel Sanders that made it late in life. Stay your course.

In all be happy and grateful for the great things you have done already. Be diligent at the things you are currently doing. And lastly be hopeful for a greater tomorrow that is not presently seen.

Keep Hope Alive......

Remember the onset of Covid 19 and the lock down?
How uncertain everything looked and how nobody could say for sure what was really going on. But we all maintained an attitude of Hope trusting that one way or the other, we shall pull through.
The fact you are reading this is evidence you did pull through.

In the same mode, I just want to encourage someone today that really feels weak in the midst of the current uncertainties that you will pull through. You won't be drowned in the present and things can and will indeed get better.

Keep Hope Alive!!
You may not be able to fly as you have planned, but if walking is all you can do this morning, do get up and take that first step with Hope of a better tomorrow.

Students Moving From JS3 to SS1: Who Takes The Career Decision? Parents Or Wards?

As students in Nigeria are currently enjoying their long vacation, a critical life changing decision awaits hundreds of thousands of newly promoted SS1 students on resumption.

This is a decision that has made or marred the Career reality of many adults. Will it make or mare that of your child?

Generally I observe that placements into SS1 classes are done on the basis of the JSS 3 Examination taken at the end of the Junior Secondary School. Usually, high Scoring students are placed into Science Classes, low scoring students into Arts Class while those in between are asked to go into the Commercial classes.

The question to ask however is that, "Is this the best approach to making this decision?"

In some cases. Students who are often under 14yrs old are foisted with the task of choosing a career for their future. Again the question is asked, ' What other critical decision of life is a 14year old entrusted with in the general scheme of things? Is it marriage or is it voting?

Career Decisions have always been a tricky issue which has landed those who get it right in good positions in life, but for many who get it wrong, it has been the major cause of Academic and life Frustration.

Which category will your child belong?

I have devoted a good part of my life to researching this topic to see how the greater percentage of students crossing from JSS 3 to SS1 can make the right career decisions and be guided into fulfilling careers and life experiences.

My findings were compiled in the book below which is titled "Conquering Academic Frustration plus Career Planning Guide".

This book contains various topics including "Causes of Academic Frustration" in the Senior Secondary Classes as well as Symptoms and Remedy for Academic Frustration.
