Injection Administered by Auxiliary Nurse Resulted in Mohbad’s Death, Says Police in Investigation Update
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos state revealed that the injection administered by auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who treated singer Mohbad on September 12, led to his untimely demise. Speaking at a press conference held at the state Headquarters on October 6, the Commissioner stated that five suspects have been arrested and interrogated in connection with the sequence of events that led to the singer’s death.
According to the Commissioner, Ayobami Sadiq, known as Spending and a friend of Mohbad, contacted the auxiliary nurse on September 11 to treat the singer at his residence in Lekki. On September 12, the nurse arrived and administered three different injections, which are believed to have triggered a chain of reactions that ultimately resulted in Mohbad’s passing.
The nurse, identified as the primary suspect, admitted that the injection she administered to Mohbad caused the adverse reactions leading to his demise. Supporting evidence from medical experts and witness statements corroborated her admission.
The injections administered by the nurse included doses of Tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, intravenous, and cetrazone. Immediate reactions observed in Mohbad after receiving the injections included vomiting, goosebumps, and convulsions, ultimately leading to his death.
