LEAVING A FOOTPRINT BEYOND THE SKINSTORY IN EVERY CHILD


We are so delighted is driving the * * movement with the Less Privileged Children Encouragement Initiative (EI)


We are undaunted on our continous drive to eradicate poor skincare culture and practices in Nigeria with our Skintervention Nigeria 2022 Conference.
The theme is focused more on the Less Privileged and vulnerable.

And guess what? The organisations have put together a magnificent skin care outreach to be held on Saturday, 24th September, 2022 at Mayflower School, Ikenne. This is aimed at Leaving FOOTPRINTS Beyond The SKINSTORY in every child.

Working tirelessly with the active surveillance team we have experienced a lot of skin challenges in children ranging from rash to bites on the skin, eczema called "IFO" in Yoruba dialect, coupled with itchy skin after bath, the height of skin issues breakdown in an unreported world.

With my years of experience as a Derma Epidemiologist, not mincing words, I found out that the major skin challenge emanates mostly from dehydration leading to skin infection and other diseases seeing a break in the skin as a port of entry.

There is a gap on skin healthcare education and school students do not understand that skin infection starts with skin dehydration. As little as not moisturising the skin could make a skin issue get worse once there's a skin challenge.
