I want to go to Dubai for a job. What should I do first?

Do's

1. Get a nice CV done by a professional.

2. Print 1000 copies

3. Get there on a visit visa for a month.

4. Drop the copy of the CV personally in as many good companies possible.

5. Try using ‘vaasta’. Influence works like magic in Dubai. Irrespective of who you know in the organization. It helps.

Dont's

1. Don't go to Dubai for the heck of it or for the glorified image of the city.

2. Don't go to Dubai if you don't have a plan in place. They have designed the city to spend more than what you earn.

3. Don't think of going there forever. You will be back to square one after all the years of hard work and struggle.

4. Don't think your experience of Dubai will count anywhere else in the world.

5. Don't think you will get the UAE nationality even if you were the best expatriate for 25 years.

The ability of humans to care for other humans.

A man rescued an abandoned baby and changed the course of the baby's life.

A Law graduate, Benkingsley Nwashara, has taken to his Twitter handle to share photos of a two-year-old girl he rescued after she was abandoned by her mentally-ill mother in Agabani town, Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State.

He shared photos he took of the child when he rescued her, as well as a recent photo of the two of them on Sunday.

Nwashara in an interview with Saturday PUNCH had said that he saw the child sitting helplessly on the street on June 15, while returning from a late-night party with some friends, and that when he asked about the child, he was told that she belonged to a mentally-ill woman who lived in the area and had been there for about days without any help.

Sharing the latest update about the child's welfare, he captioned the pictures, "How it was vs How it's going. You can't tell me that God is not faithful."

In another post, he shared some pictures of the child on Monday and said, “She went from being an abandoned child diagnosed with kwashiorkor to being plump and with a home and family. God is the greatest.”
