Episode 🔟

"Good morning dear,"James said as he walked into the dinning room.Meanwhile,I was in the dinning room serving his breakfast.

"Good morning James....."I greeted when I saw him coming.

"Don't tell me you prepared breakfast..."he said as he looked at me.

"Um....yes I prepared breakfast.."I replied innocently.

"Why should you do that when we have the house help."

"I insisted that I wanted to prepare break fast.I told the house help not to prepare breakfast this morning because I wanted to,she needs to rest."I said.

"But that's her job, she's paid......"

"I'm only helping her James,just breakfast.."

"Okay,so what do we have here???"he asked as he sat down on the chair.

"I prepared pancakes and crisps...."U announced cheerfully as I uncovered the dish.

"Wow.!!!"He exclaimed and licked his lips when he saw how appealing it was.

"This is also a hot tea....."She said as she poured some tea into the tea cup.

"Thank you so much Anita...."he said and he dipped a piece of pancake into his mouth.

"So delicious...."He said and sipped the cup of tea.

"I already packaged lunch for you, coconut rice...."I said.

"Really!? That's so impressive, thank you so much Anita...."

"You're welcome sir.... thank you once again for accepting me into your abode, i'm really grateful...."I said.

"You don't have to keep thanking me Anita, you've done that a million times, I'm only trying to be nice....."He said and dipped a crisp into his mouth.

"Good morning oga....Good morning madam..."Nifemi, the house help greeted as she walked into the dinning room.

"Lazy bone,you decided to enjoy yourself today because she told you she was going to prepare breakfast right???"James said hilariously.I laughed and shook my head.

"Please let her be, she's also a human just like us.Nifemi, please take the car key and drop his lunch in the car.."

"Yes madam."Nifemi said as she prostrated.
As instructed, she took the car key and went to do as she was told.
"What will you like to eat for dinner?"I asked him after I saw he was done eating.

"No,no,not again.Don't tell me you want to prepare dinner."

"Of course...."I said as I shrugged.

"You don't have to do that,Nifemi is here to do that."He said.

"I insist....."I said and he reluctantly agreed.
He gave me a pat on my back when he was about to leave.
I bid him goodbye and he finally left....

I strode into the sitting room and sat down heavily on the sofa.
I turned the tv on and channeled it to my favourite programme.
I looked around me as I thought about my misfortune again...
"I can't believe this is happening...so I didn't marry Collins.I won't see Collins again..."I said at the verge of tears.

"I can't continue to live here forever, I have to move on with my life."I muttered to myself.
Just then, the door fell open and Nifemi walked in.
"Has he left???"I asked when I saw her walked in.

"Yes madam, he has gone to work."She replied politely.

"Okay Nifemi, you can go ahead and serve your breakfast, your good is beside the cooker...."I said.

"Thank you very much madam, i'm really grateful for what you did today."Nifemi said as she rubbed her palms.

"Don't mention....."

"May God bless you ma, you're a good woman, I pray oga should marry you oo."Nifemi said and was leaving when I stopped her.

"What did you just say????"I asked as though I never heard what she said.

"Nothing ma...."She almost trembled as she shook her head.

"You said something; that you want your boss to marry me."

"Ahhh,you heard me? I'm very sorry ma,mã bï nú...."She said apologetically as she almost knelt down.

"It's okay Nifemi, i'm not angry, you should mind the way you speak so it won't land you into trouble."

"Yes madam.."Nifemi said and was about to leave, when we heard a loud knock on the door.
I looked at her inquisitively and motioned for her to open the door.
I was short of words when I saw Charity running inside after Nifemi might have opened the door.

"Charity!!!!"I exclaimed in total confusion.

"How did you get here???"I asked again as I noticed she was panting.

"Desmond.... Desmond....."She almost whispered under her breath.

"Desmond!? What happened to Desmond???"I asked impatiently.

"He is coming to kill you...."She dropped the bombshell.

"Blood of Jesus!!!!"Nifemi exclaimed as she shook with fright.

"Coming to kill me?But how did he know...."I paused and looked at Charity suspiciously.
"You told him right?"

"I didn't mean to, I was at the point of death..."Charity said innocently.

"So why are you here?"

"You have to run away this instance.. Just find a place to stay for today else you will lose your life."She warned.

"But what did he actually want from me? Why is he doing this? Why is he frustrating my life?"I queried.

"I don't know Anita,my brother was not like this before."

"Nifemi...."I called,"Please get me my phone from my room so I can contact the cops in case anything bad happens.."I said and she quickly ran upstairs.
Charity was going to speak, when the door was flung open.We turned towards the door,lo and behold! It was the unknown person wearing a dark robe.
"Surprise......"He said and took off his hood.
Charity and I were astounded to see Desmond....😰😰😰😰
"So....it w..w...was you..."I stuttered with a shaken voice.

"Of course it's me.... you can't get away with this..."He said and brought out a pistol.

"What are you doing Desmond? What has she done to you?"Charity asked.

"It's none of your business sister..."He said as he pointed the gun at me.
Eventually, Charity quickly stood in front of me,as my shield, because she believed Desmond won't pull the trigger on his sister.

"Get out of the way sister...."He warned sternly..

"I won't Desmond,do your worst..."Charity barked.
Boom!!!!He pulled the trigger.He was expecting Charity to move away but she didn't.
Within a bleak of an eye, Charity was lying lifelessly on the floor.
"Charity..... Charity...."I cried as I shook her vigorously.

"What have you done to my sister????"Desmond said as cold shivers ran down his spine.

"You've killed your sister...."I cried..
Suddenly, the cops barged into the sitting room.They caught him red handed with the gun.One of the cops handcuffed him and shoved him away into the awaiting vehicle....
I was shock,he couldn't believe this was happening,he never bargained for these......
"I'm finished... I'm finished..."He muttered as the van drove away.

Episode 9️⃣

The pictures of what I saw was still fresh in my mind.It still baffles me that I really saw the unknown person again.
"Is Desmond stalking me or what???"I asked myself again as I walked towards the dinning room.

"You're looking much better than earlier."James said when he saw me coming.

"Anita.... Anita....."He called when I didn't reply.
I was lost in thoughts, I shivered involuntarily when I heard him call my name.
"Yes.... what were you saying?"I asked as I sat down on a chair opposite him.

"Are you okay????"he asked as he looked at me suspiciously.

"Me!?oh yes... don't worry about me, i'm fine."I said nervously as I feigned a smile.

"Are you sure???"He asked in order to be sure that I was okay.

"Yes i'm fine Mr James."

"I'll love it if you address me as James and not Mr James."He said and I chuckled and nodded my head.

"So, do you like this place?Hope you're comfortable..."

"Of course, I love it here Mr...."I paused when I noticed he grimaced,"Sorry I forgot, James.I'm comfortable."I said

"So let's enjoy our meal..."he said as he uncovered the dishes revealing an appealing pasta topped with fried dodo (Plantain) and roasted beef.

"Yummy......."He said after he had tasted it,"C'mon taste it, I promise you will love it."he said.
I smiled and dipped it in my mouth,it was delicious just as he had confirmed.

"Your chef must be a good cook."I commended.

"Yes she is.She's been serving me for seven years now...."
My fork dropped when I heard what he just said.

"Seven years!!!!?"

"Yes of course."I reveled at my show of surprise.

"But what about your family? Your wife and your kids?I haven't seen anyone of them since I came."I said and he burst out laughing.

"What's funny??"I asked because I was surprised at his sudden outburst.

"Do I look that old?"

"No,not at all.... i'm not saying you're old, i'm only saying that I was expecting a wife and probably,kids in this huge house."

"I'm not yet married Anita, besides, i'm in my early thirties.Though, I intend to get married as soon as possible..."He said and sipped a glass of wine.

"So.... what was wrong???"He asked and I paused and stared at him with my eyes wide open.

"You say???"I pretended like I didn't hear what he said.

I dropped my fork on the glassy table.I felt a lump rise in my throat so I swallowed hard.

"It's nothing......"I lied but the tears streaming down my eyes betrayed my words.

"I'm not an infant Anita, I know something bad happened that made you cry.Please tell me, I can help you if I can,you can confine in me."he pestered.

"Where do I start from James?I have pass through a lot...."I said tearfully.

"You can start anywhere Anita, c'mon talk to me...."

"O dropped out of school because I....."I paused and looked at him...
"I must be very stupid if I tell him I was once pregnãnt out of wedlock, I can't possibly tell him I had s@x with the lecturer just to boost my grades...."I thought within myself as I kept gawping at him.

"Is everything alright????"he asked after an interminable silence.

"My parents were killed the day I came home to visit them.I was arrested for a crime I knew nothing about.I was accused of kïlling my dear parents... meanwhile, someone was behind all these.I was released by a kind hearted man who received me warmly into his home... he did many things for me,he showed me love,care and most importantly, attention.His undying love for me made me believe I was in my paradise in earth.I had every cause to be happy whenever I was with him....."I paused and chuckled sadly.

"We were supposed to be married today.... Collins and I were going to get married but he was killed by his own best friend."

"What!!!?"

"Yes.He made everyone believed that I kïlled my husband so I had to run away...."I said and sniffed.

"You wouldn't have left, everyone will believe you did it because you ran...."He said.

"I know... but I can't fight Desmond....I had to do what I did James."

"You're right.Im really sorry...."He said and handed a handkerchief over to me.I quickly dabbed my eyes and sniffed again.

"You'll be fine, enjoy your meal..."He said and we continued eating in silence....

Back in Port Harcourt......
The doctor was in his office scribbling something on the piece of paper neatly placed on his well polished wooden table.
Suddenly, Desmond barged into his office.
"Excuse me,you don't dare....."the doctor was speaking when Desmond raised him and held his neck firmly.

"What are you doing Mr Desmond????"The doctor asked under his breath....

"How dare you... why did you do it????"

"Do what???? what are you talking about??"

"Why did you let her go???"Desmond asked furiously.

"Who??U don't understand, please let go off me, you're choking me...."

"I'm talk about Anita...the patient who murdered her husband to be.."

"Please you're choking me...."He cried and Desmond released him.

"I saw your sister leading her away..."The doctor confessed as he panted.

"What!?"He exclaimed and then stormed out of his office...

Charity was pacing along the corridor as if she was also searching for Anita.
Suddenly, Desmond stormed towards her and pushed her aside....
"How dare you Charity...."

"What do you mean by..."Before she could finish speaking, Desmond held her neck.

"Please stop it Desmond, you're killïng me...."

"You accompanied Anita out of this hospital right???"

"Please leave me alone, I don't know what you're talking about...."Charity lied.

"Tell me now, where's she????"He blustered.

"I don't k...."

"Tell me you scoundrel..."He barked as he pressed her neck firmly...

"Lagos... she went to Lagos..."Charity said and Desmond released her.

"You're very wicked Desmond, you kïlled Collins and now you want to kïll Anita..."She said faintly as she held her neck in pains.

"I don't want to hear that...."

"I will tell everyone what you did..."Charity threatened...

"No one will believe you dear sister, it's late already...Get ready to say goodbye to your friend...."
Desmond smirked and he left....

Episode 8️⃣

I covered my body entirely as I entered a bus heading to Lagos.I had nothing with me except the money Charity had given me.
After waiting few minutes in the bus, the bus drove off after the passengers were complete.
I was greatly disturbed... I was in tears, some passengers in the bus stared at me non stop but I pretended not to notice it.I was depressed...the co**se I saw in the bathtub was still lingering in my mind.
"God... why me????? What have I done wrong??"I asked myself silently.

"Have you forgotten me??? How am I even sure you know that someone like me really exist....I have been a devoted christian, I had done what is expected of a christian but what did I get in return? Failure, disappointment, tears...God why?????"I said silently as tears streamed down my eyes afresh.

"What's wrong with this woman???"
One of the women behind me said.

"I no no at all oo.She fit be those Lagos women wey their head dey touch sometimes..."Another woman replied in pidgin language.

"Wetin con carry her enter this bus????"

"If you ask me,nah who I go ask?"The woman who spoke first said and they both laughed.
I smiled sadly when I heard what they said.I couldn't blame them because I actually looked so unkempt like one who had lost her sanity.
"They have every right to chastise me...."I thought as I used the edge of my scarf to wipe my tears.

"Why am I even going to Lagos??Who do I know there in Lagos?Why did I choose to go to Lagos in the first place."I asked myself series of questions as I thought about the future which seemed so blank to me.

"What am I supposed to do with this money when I get to Lagos?Will it be sufficient for accomodations?How will I even survive in Lagos?A no go area, the city meant for the strong, the city for the fearless people,a city full of strange people with strange abilities.God, i'm lost...."I wept again bitterly..

"Young woman,is everything alright????"I heard a man's voice behind me.
I didn't reply or turn back, I was silent instead because I thought he might be referring to someone else, I don't want to be sure that he was referring to me.

"I'm talking to you young woman with a grey scarf."He said and he tapped me.

"Can you please mind your business young man.It is you something is wrong with, definitely not me."I blustered aggressively.

"I'm very sorry...."The young man said as he felt embarrassed.

"Sorry for yourself.I don't know why it's difficult for people to mind their business these days.."I said and hissed.

"She even sabi speak English...."I heard one of the women said amidst laughter.I was furious and bittered when I heard the other woman laughing too.
I felt bad and guilty about the way I addressed the man who was only trying to be concerned.
After some hours,we got to Lagos.I alighted from the bus and quickly dipped my hand into the little purse Charity had given me.
I grimaced and rolled my hand in the purse but I couldn't find the money.
I was alarmed, I took the purse closely towards my eyes to be sure it wasn't what I was thinking.My fears were confirmed when I saw nothing in the purse.

"Madam..... Please I no de ready for this expensive joke,give me my money make I find my way abeg."The hungry driver said impatiently and yawned.

"Er.....Um.... i'm searching for my money.I was holding the money when I was in the bus but now, I can't find it."I said as I kept looking around if I could see the money.

"Madam,I no get time for that English wey you dey speak, you better give me my money make I commot here..."

"Didn't you hear what I said?I said I can't find my money...."

"How that one take concern me now? Remember this is Lagos,you suppose shine your eyes, somebody go don run your money be that...."He said.

"What are you saying,I......"

"Madam give me my money...."He interrupted as he pushed me.

"You pushed me????"

"No...nah tap I tap you,abeg give me my money....E be like say you no no who I be for this Lagos..."He bragged.

"You're are you?A common bus driver..."I said furiously.He was about to slap me when the young man interfered.

"Hey please stop that driver, why are you embarrassing her? what did she do?"The young man asked as he walked to the scene.
I was slightly embarrassed when I saw it was the same young man whom I almost humiliated while in the bus.

"Imagine this woman, she no wan pay me my money."The driver complained.

"I would have paid him if I hadn't misplaced my money..."I defended myself.

"Okay fine....so how much are we talking about here??"The young man asked.

"Seventeen thousand naira...."The driver was quick to reply.

"Wait a minute...."He said as he brought out his billfold.He brought out a wad of naira notes and gave it to the driver.
"Here...have it..."he said as he handed it over to him.

"But that's more than..."

"Don't worry,let him have it."He interrupted

"Thank you very much oga.God save your life madam,you for help me wash my toilet for two months."The driver said hilariously as he hopped back into the bus.
I looked at him and hissed.
"Thank you very much sir..."I said sheepishly as I bowed my head in shame.

"You're welcome,so where are you going from here...."He asked.
I wanted to lie that I had somewhere to go but then, I realized the man could help...I told him the truth that I had no where to go and it was my first time in Lagos.

"So can you come with me????"

"No sir,I don't know you too well to go with you."

"Trust me....I mean no harm..."He said cheerfully.

"I'm sorry for what happened back in the bus.."I said as I fidgeted.

"Ohhh you still remembered that? C'mon it's nothing...'He said as he grinned.

"Let's go..."He said after he hailed a taxi.
Eventually, the taxi stopped so we both stepped in.The taxi drove us straight to his apartment.
I was astonished when I saw his house,the fleets of cars in his garage almost made me gasped.Who would have ever thought that the man whom I humiliated like he was a nobody,was so wealthy.
I quickly recalled the saying that states,"Don't judge a book by its cover..."
I smiled to myself as he led me into his house.
A lady whom I suspected to be the house help rushed towards us and collected his bags.
He quickly led me to my room and advice me to freshen up.
After having a cool bath, I went outside.His compound was indeed very beautiful.. I marveled at the greenhouse just beside the garage.
I was about to go in when I heard a crash just beside the garage, I was curious.
I was walking quietly towards the garage when I saw the same unknown person walked past the garage.
I screamed and was about to rush in when the house help came and told me that dinner was ready...
I breathed heavily and was following her.
I blinked my eyes several times to be sure I wasn't dreaming.
"I just saw it...Is Desmond stalking me or what...or could the person be a ghost??????"I thought as I followed the house help.

Episode 7️⃣

Immediately I heard this, I rushed out of the room holding the edge of my gown firmly.....
"Anita.... Anita...."Juliet and Charity chorused but I didn't listen to them.They had no other option but to follow me.

"Collins.... Collins...."I called as I went about searching for him.Some guests who saw me tried to stop me but I was relentless.I was almost going crazy, I just wanted to see Collins.

"Come back......"Charity said as she followed me but still, I wasn't ready to listen to her.

"Collins.... Collins..."I called again as I almost stumbled on Desmond's shoe.
Desmond was coming out of the groom's chamber.
"What's it Anita??? why are....."he paused as he saw the bridesmaids and others coming along.

"What's going on Anita???"Desmond asked me.

"Where's my husband Desmond???"I asked as I sniffed back a few more tears.

"What did you hear about Collins that is making you shed tears?"Desmond asked as he raised his eyebrows.

"He's missing...."one of the bridesmaids said behind me.

"Missing!?"Desmond exclaimed and shook his head.
He heaved deeply and chuckled...
"No he's not missing... who ever said that was only spreading false rumours.Collins is not missing."Desmond said.

"Then where's he if he's not missing?"One of the guests behind me asked.

"Where's he???"I added.

"He went out few minutes ago to get something, he'll be back in no time."Desmond assured us.

"To get something!?How could he go out to get something when he knew this is his big day...why didn't he send someone to get it for him instead?"

"You all can leave and wait for his arrival, Collins is not missing...he will soon be here."Desmond said and they started leaving..

I was about to leave when he grabbed my arm.
"What are you doing Desmond?"I asked.

"Come with me Anita"He said and led me into the groom's chamber.

"Why did you bring me here ???"I asked curiously.

"How dare you Anita,who could have ever thought you were this evil...."

"Pardon!!!?"I said with confusion as I shook my head.
Eventually,he brought out a note that stated that I was involve in a criminal act.

"You're so terrible, you've been deceiving my friend all these while, you've been lying to him that you loved him but no,you don't.We never knew you were strategizing your evil plans..."
I chuckled in confusion and looked at him suspiciously.

"What are you saying Desmond?I don't know who wrote those words on that note, I don't even understand what's going on...."I was visibly shaking...

"You sent people to kill Collins..."He dropped the bombshell.
I gasped and closed my mouth in shock...
"Oh yes.Now you're pretending you don't know what i'm talking about...."

"I don't know what you're talking about Desmond.."I said as tears dropped freely from my eyes.

"Can you be real for once,you killed your husband to be and you still have the effontery to lie to my face."Desmond said.

"I have no idea of what you're talking about Desmond, what have you done to my husband???"I asked thoughtlessly.

"You say what????"He pretended as though he didn't hear what I said.

"What did you do to my husband????"I asked as I held his coat firmly.

"Let go off me you murderer..."He said and in a flash,he gave me a hot slap that almost tore my skin.

"Everybody will believe you killed your husband and there's nothing you can do,you have no prove that I killed Collins.Anyway, his body is in the bathtub..."He said and I quickly fumbled towards the bathtub.
I was heart broken when I saw his body been slaughtered in the water which has turned into blood.
Eventually, I fainted....

The atmosphere was tense in the hospital.Guests who had followed Desmond to the hospital were discussing about what happened.Desmond was everywhere around them, making them believe that I killed Collins.
Most of them believed I killed Collins because of the notes he showed them and also the lies,he fed them.

"You shouldn't have brought her to the hospital,you would have left her there to perish.What sort of cruel woman is she???"One of them said after Desmond had narrated his portion of lies to her.

"She have to stay alive so she could bear the consequences of what she has done.She is such a wicked woman, how could she possibly arrange armed gangs to kill her husband on their wedding day.She deliberately sent them to do it while I was away because I would have saved my friend if I was around."Desmond said.

"You would have seen how dramatic she was when she heard her husband to be was missing.... who would have ever believed that she had a hand in it...."

"She's simply a wolf in sheep's clothing."Desmond said and the woman burst out laughing.

"Exactly...."she said as she continued laughing...

Just then,the doctor called for his attention so he quickly excused himself and went to meet the doctor.
"I'll advice you to leave that lady here to regain total consciousness before sending her to the prison..."The doctor said.

"What are you insinuating doctor????"Desmond asked with a puzzled expression.

"I mean you can't take her to the prison today, she's still unconscious,also she needs proper medications to make her strong."

"That's not enough reason for her not to be taken to prison today.Those medications will be a waste of resources because she will be dumped in prison.She's a murderer remember, she killed my dear friend..."Desmond said.

"Mr Desmond you have to......."

"Don't tell me what to do doctor, she's leaving the hospital to the prison today and that's final."Desmond said authoritatively and walked away....

I became conscious all of a sudden when I felt a sharp pain in my head.
I opened my eyes faintly...the first thing I remembered was Collins co**se in the bathtub.
"Collins...."I muttered as tears flowed down my eyes afresh.
Eventually,the door creaked open and Charity sneaked in.
"Anita you're awake..."she said almost in a whisper.

"What have I done to deserve all these?? What have I done?????"I said tearfully.

"You've done nothing wrong Anita."

"Desmond ki...."

"I know, I heard everything he said.He had brainwashed everyone to believe you killed Collins."

"But I didn't....."

"I know you're innocent, Desmond must have kïlled Collins himself."

"But why???I thought Collins was his best friend."

"Forget about that for now, we should be preparing for your journey."Charity said.

"Journey!? What are you talking about?"

"You have to escape now,else you won't see daylight."

"I have to fight for justice... I must fight.."I said.

"No, you can't fight Desmond, he's influential.You have to flee for now..."

"I don't know where to go...."I said.

"I'll give you a hundred thousand... just go.. find a safe place.My brother, Desmond will be here to throw you in gaol if you don't leave...come with me, let me show you a safe route..."Charity said and she quickly raised me and led me out of the hospital....
"What is happening to me??? Why did Desmond kill Collins?Is he the unknown tormentor?????????"I asked myself as I followed Charity..

Episode 6️⃣

Months later.....
It's been two months now, we've heard nothing from the unknown tormentor, I never saw him since to the day I lost my pregnancy.
Collins and I were living our lives to the fullest.He had made me feel loved and cherished, he adored me like a god and was too quick to reach out for me.
With Collins by my side, I quickly forgot my days of misfortune, I became a changed being, I had no reason to be sad because he always made me happy.He asked me if I was still interested in going back to school but I gave him a capital "NO"for an answer.
The true fact was that I wanted to go back to school but I was afraid that I might loose Collins when I get to school.He might fall in love with someone else if I was not around.I never wanted to leave Collins,he was my soul mate, the rare gem and my perfect kind of man if I could say.
Since I made the decision not to go back to school, I registered for a catering school.I always come back early from my catering classes to prepare dinner for my dear Collins.

My joy knew no bounds when he finally proposed to me.That day was one of the best day I will forever recollect.....

Collins had invited me for a date in Cheshire restaurant,a classy restaurant.

He kept stamping his foot and glaring at his wrist watch..he seemed worried but nevertheless,he was patient.
He was about to contact me when I eventually showed up.
I was looking so stunning, I guessed, because he was staring at me in amazement as though he was seeing me for the first time.

"Sorry i'm late...."I apologized as I sat opposite him.I blushed and smiled sheepishly as he kept gawping at me..

"Collins..."I called and he gasped and shook his head.

"I'm sorry, you're really gorgeous, very beautiful."he said with a sweet and coo voice.

"Awnnnn i'm flattered."I said as I grinned.

"So.... what will you love to eat??"he asked.

"Orange juice and crisps will do."I said and he quickly summoned the waitress.

"Please get us two dishes of fried rice and grilled chicken, also an orange juice couple with a bottle of wine."he ordered and the waitress left.

"Gosh!!!!I only requested for crisps,fried rice and chicken is too much...."I complained.

"No.... no... it's not even enough, don't be a cheapskate.."he said comically and smiled.

"Okay... if you insist, but I won't be able to gobble a whole chicken, i'm not a glutton..."I said jokingly.

"Neither am I not a glutton, but we have to eat it."he said and we both laughed.
Eventually, the waitress came with our orders.She served us and left.
He uncovered the food and tasted it, with the expression on his face, I knew the food was yummy.I was going to eat when he deliberately dipped his spoon in my food and scoop a spoonful of fried rice.
"What are you doing???"I asked with a smile on my face.

"Uh...."he said as he gestured for me to open my mouth.

I willingly opened my mouth and he fed me.
We were both eating in silence when he cleared his throat.
"Do you need some water?"I asked and he chuckled and shook his head.

"I bought a gift for you."he said and I looked at him inquisitively.He stood up and walked up to me.
In a flash,he knelt before me and brought out a golden ring.

"My life changed drastically since the day I met you.I must confess that you're the best thing that has ever happened to me.Anita, I want us to build a family together, I want you to be the mother of my seeds,my unborn children.Anita,will you marry me????"He said softly with a romantic voice that can possibly melt the heart of a stone.
I gasped.

"Please marry me....."he repeated and I slowly stretched out my arms.
"I'll marry you Collins....."I said and he quickly slide the ring on my finger and hugged me passionately.

"I promise I'll never leave you Anita, i'll take care of you.I love you."he said as he cuddled me.

"I love you too."I muttered as tears of joy sprang to my eyes.....

Collins was in the sitting room chatting happily with Desmond when I walked in with a tray.

"You're welcome Anita,how are you doing?"he asked.

"I'm fine Desmond, how's charity,your sister."I asked as I held the tray firmly against my stomach.

"She's fine, she sent her greetings.She's getting prepared for your big day tomorrow."

"Awnnnn that's so sweet of her."I said as I smiled awkwardly.
I was about to leave when Desmond called me back.
"Don't you think it's indecent to wear such a skimpy dress? How are you even comfortable with it?"Desmond said.

"Er.....I...."I was stuttering in shame as I adjusted the dress.

"Do you remember you're getting married and it's for a life time.This is the right time for you to stop your reckless life and become responsible.You can't keep galavanting here and there, seducing men to sleep with you in order to get you pregnant again."

"Desmond!!! What are you saying????"Collins barked with an angry voice.

"I love you bro.... I'm trying to caution your fiancee."

"I can't remember asking you to do that, please you're embarrassing my fiancee and I don't like that..."Collins raved.

"Er....I think I need to leave.."I said with shame and I quickly ran up the stairs.

I was sitting gorgeously in front of the mirror admiring myself.The costumier and make up artist had done their jobs, I was left alone with Charity,my chief bridesmaid who was arranging my veil.
"I can't believe i'm getting married today,... it happened so fast.."I said as a tear of joy rolled down my eye.

"You better believe it dear,after today,you will become Mrs Collins, you're so lucky, I really envy you."

"Awnnnn, there's always a man for every woman... Your time will soon come.I wish my parents were here to witness this big day."I said as my face fell.
