# ---" THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CARMEL'S BACK"

Sometimes I imagine how my cousins' tailor made their dresses and I envisioned myself doing same😄😊. I will overturn some unused clothes to see how the stitches are and try to fix them back. I also look at the once the tailor made for my sisters and try to examine how he did the cutting. To me the tailor(a Ghanian man), was the best in the world. Not until I was served the very hot 'BREAKFAST' of my life, by my superhero tailor. He made a dress for my cousin and I, which he charged an exorbitant sum. and this was paid in full. In my little mind, I was imagining how pretty I will look on the dress and how classy the dress will be. But to my greatest disappointment, the opposite of my imagination became the case. This became the straw that broke the Carmel's back. There and then, I said to myself, ' It is time to learn how to sew and make beautiful dresses myself", if not for anything, for myself and family.

My journey into Fashion started years back as a teenager. Back then, I imagined and fanaticized on making beautiful outfits, Jewelries and generally creating beautiful things out of nothing. The emotional feelings of satisfaction, being praised and asked questions like, 'Who made this?, 'With what did you made it? 'It's beautiful' ' You will be very good at this if you put your mind to it' 'Well done', etc, were strong push for me.....
