One of our clients consulted us for a building project.

We scheduled a site visit to do our checks.

Prior to producing the construction drawings we advised him on the need to carry out a soil investigation and he accepted.

The only challenge was that the land was a swampy one so we had to sand fill so we could have a solid platform on which we would install our equipment and also carry out a proper soil investigation.

The first phase of the Soil test has been completed and we move to the second phase after which it will take another two weeks to get the soil report for further decisions.

The results of the soil test will show us the features of the soil and recommend the foundation type to be adopted.

The building finishes stage is a very interesting and expensive phase of a building project.

Interesting, because you get to see the beauty of the exterior envelope and the internal spaces.

Like the foundation stage, the client tends to get touchy here, especially if it is their first time building or if you have one artisan who keeps wasting materials.

Plaster sand, POP materials, wall and floor tiles, paint, etc. are all relatively expensive.

However, the client's taste for interior design comes into play.
Some clients have a knack for specific details while others don't mind.
