LEKKI LCDA TO GIVE OUT WELFARE PACKAGES TO MOTHER & CHILD

On the 19th of March, 2024, Lekki LCDA, through a program tagged 'Nutri Mama', will be giving out welfare packages to Pregnant women and Nursing mothers, at the Council's Hall.

Pregnant women, will be getting packages of Rice, Beans, Garri, Semo and Noodles. While Nursing Mothers with Babies below one year old, will be given packages of Rice, Beans, Garri, Semo and Noodles as well; along with Cereal, infant Milk, Diapers and Tissues for their babies.

Beneficiaries are to come with either their antenatal cards or immunization cards registered at P.H.C within Lekki LCDA. The cards will serve as their entry cards.

WARD-B ENDORSE THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF LEKKI LCDA FOR SECOND TERM

Today, 25th of January, 2024, the Leadership and People of Ward-B in Lekki LCDA, ably led by Hon. Tunde Taiwo, endorsed my humble self for a second term in office, at Idotun Community Town Hall.

PRESENTATION OF YEAR 2024 APPROPRIATION BILL

"The 2024 budget, still have within it as priorities, things like infrastructure, education, socioeconomic development, health and tourism. Including many other areas that call for concern."

"I believe, that if we continue on the trajectory we've already laid down, then we will surely score an (A) in the implementation of this budget as well. Therefore, I am using this occasion, to implore every stakeholder, from within the council and beyond, to continue to pray for us in all our endeavors. On my part, I will continue to remain strong, bold and efficient to the best of my ability."

"I will like to round off, by appreciating the Leader of the council, Hon. Monsuru Ola, and all our councillors for their cooperation and devotion to service."

"I will like to thank as well, the council staff and everyone in my team. And to the good people of Lekki LCDA, I say thank you for the support you have given us so far. May we have more cause to be together and celebrate a better Lekki together. Thank you so much and God bless you all."

STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTATION FORUM (YEAR 2024 BUDGET)

LEKKI LCDA HOLDS PEACE AND SECURITY MEETING

Today, 16th of November, 2023, the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (RBK), held a peace and security meeting with security agencies (DPO Akodo, DPO Ise, Commandant Road safety, Mopol-49, NDLEA, LNSC, VGN, Olokun Boyz, OPC) and other key stakeholders.

The Chairman, while appreciating the efforts of the security agencies, held that no crisis or chaos should hinder the development and growth of the LCDA, as he reiterated his trust in the agencies.

The security agencies, pledged to continue to fight against the threat of insecurity and its vices, and see to it that Lekki LCDA remains a peaceful place.

RBK: CELEBRATING THE SPEAKER OF LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY @51

The Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (RBK), has described the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, as a shining star, whose positive impact is being felt across the nation.

RBK, in a congratulatory statement to celebrate the Charismatic Speaker, who clocked 51, said there could not have been a better time for the Speaker of the House of Assembly to serve Lagos other than now, considering his leadership and wealth of experience.

The Chairman said, “I celebrate you on your birthday sir, and I congratulate you for the role you have played in the progress of Lagos State. You are indeed a progressive."

LEKKI LCDA MASS RURAL SOLAR ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT UPDATE

INSTALLATION OF 75 SOLAR STREET LIGHTS IN IDATA & ILAGBO TOWNS

Following the recent solar electrification of Olomowewe and Itamarun towns, we've also successfully completed the installation of another 75 solar street lights within the towns of IDATA and ILAGBO.

It is expected that same will continue to be replicated in other towns of the LCDA, while we await the full implementation of the mega power project that will be a joint effort of the Lagos State Government, AfDB and others.

In addition, the street lights are proven ways of reducing robberies, burglaries, and other crimes that often happen in the dark. The initiative will ensure properties in the towns have adequate lighting around them, and can reduce risks and avoid fostering criminal activities.

The Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (RBK), sends a gentle reminder, that the above exercise which began on 12th of October, 2023, will end tomorrow 16th of October, 2023.

Feel free to walk into Lekki PHC's eyes unit to become part of the beneficiaries of the exercise.

LEKKI LCDA FREE EYE GLASSES, EYE DRUGS & SUPPLEMENTS

-commemoration of world sight day 2023...

In commemorating this year's World Sight Day, the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (RBK), and his health department team, will be giving out 300 eye glasses, drugs, supplements and free eye tests, including free health talks, for the good people of Lekki LCDA, starting from tomorrow 12th of October to 16th of October, 2023, 8 a.m - 2 p.m daily, at the council secretariat.

The 2023 World Sight Day, themed "Love Your Eyes At Work" draws attention towards vision health, blindness and other visual impairment issues.

Prioritizing different Health interventions, especially of "Sight" has been one of the major priorities of the Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali's led administration. In the past few months, the Chairman of Lekki LCDA, has devoted resources, time and energy to individuals who are having different health challenges, including those of sights. These Include;

1. Payment of surgical cases at general hospitals.

2. Giving out of Glasses to those with refractive error.

3. Treatment of those with pathological cases.

4. Free Eye Screening and Treatment that was made available to the people of Lekki LCDA, during the Free Health Mission.

The Chairman of Lekki LCDA, has been magnanimous in this regard. One of which is a boy of 9-years old, who had an accident that led to Uveal prolapse of the left eye. A corrective surgery was done and now the young chap is able to see again.

Another is a woman in her mid 40’s with mature cataract of both eyes. Today, she has can go back to work with her two eyes perfectly okay.

And Lots of other surgical cases.

More cases are also being monitored and observed as some of them have systemic issues. They are being managed closely till they are fit for their surgery.

Commemorating this year's World Sight Day, the Chairman of Lekki LCDA, will continue to spread awareness about access to top eye care services and methods of preventing visual impairment and common avoidable blindness.

DISTRIBUTION OF PALLIATIVES TO WIDOWS AND THE AGED

Yesterday, 29th of September, 2023, the RBK team were out on my instruction, to distribute 400 bags of food palliatives to widows and the elderly.

The initiative keys into ongoing measures in ensuring that widows and the aged, are not left out In the scheme of things and are given special consideration, as the palliatives were delivered to their homes. It is hoped that the palliatives are able to bring a sense of belonging at this time and that those who do not benefit this time, will certainly benefit another time.
