Better late than never!

One of the real challenges of entrepreneurship is self-management!

But as a self-proclaimed entrepre-warrior, I create, curate, recreate, make, unmake, break and shake every existing rule! 😂 For instance, my April starts when I say so!

This month has been a mix of adventurous and busy. Many unknowns and visits to uncharted territories but terribly exciting nonetheless. As one grows older the pleasures are more in achieving goals even in and in spite of a crazy, ever-changing world. We move👍🏽. How did Wole Soyinka say it in that song, (I love my kọntrị) “e push me, I push am, I no go go!

Did I even post in March?

Dual citizenship means a doubling of business and entrepreneurial opportunities. is indeed a land of opportunities.

Stop and ponder about how it must have been on those days, at that time, when they came to the tomb and IT WAS EMPTY! The noise and festivities around now make it difficult to stop and comprehend the deep significance of what actually happened that day. Jesus did not come back as a ghost, He came back in a new, enhanced body. A resurrected body. The type that was not bound by time, matter or space. The type that went through walls, appeared and disappeared, cocked, ate and spoke.

Stop and appreciate this God, this Jesus, the Christ that lives forever. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow!

Alleluia Christ arose!

We just pretty much create whatever from nothing! This was another outing and we stormed the building… created a movie premiere set and the most talked about event they ever had. Our secret? Have fun through the entire process 👍🏽🙃😊

Work doesn’t always have to be too serious! We always managed to have fun while achieving serious corporate/ organizational objectives!

I don’t even “do” Valentine Day.

I will share 2 reasons why not

1. I love everyday. I believe that man, woman, humanity really, is called to love. To give of self always and in every way. To commit to making the lives of others better, more comfortable and peaceful, as best as one can. Being alive, and successful is not enough.

2. Heathenic. Valentine is a rebranded pagan festival. The world embraces it simply because of the commercial benefits it provides.

That said... I have seen myself pulled into speaking at various love-themed events in the past week. And I have found that I have quite enjoyed the ability to define love again for myself and for the audiences to whom I spoke.

But it IS February ❤️

Many refer to February as the month of love. Well, clearly Valentine Day (Feb 14) must be a large influence! Understandably too! The whole Val’s day thing has reached various stages of ridiculous, don’t you think?

Oh well. Here’s my loving welcome to you all to this second month of the year. Oh and, speaking about love, it’s a special year for me. It’ll be my 30th year Wedding Anniversary. To be really honest, that is too amazing to consider. It’s just like yesterday I was driving up to St Charles Borromeo in 1004 flats, VI to walk down the aisle with Chidi Umeano Looking absolutely breathtaking in a dress my sister, Nkechi Abii made , with absolute love. Like, wow, 30 years!

I am indeed highly favoured and the next couple of months will demonstrate this extra special love that the Lord has chosen to bless me with. I speak peace and love unto this month of February, for me and for all who are reading this today!

A NEW DAY!
A NEW YEAR!

Today is the 9th of February so I expect that eyebrows are raised and maybe some prayers are being said even for me... like, is Uloma out of her mind? But you see, my (Igbo) people have a saying that goe like this. “Mgbe madụ ji tete bụ ụtutu ya!” (Translation: Anytime one wakes up is morning to them)

So, Good morning to you all 😀

The year started in various levels of uncertainty for me, and may I add, with various levels of (perhaps unfounded) fear. The outlook was bleak and “shifty” as I tried to plan my year. At some point I stopped trying to plan since it brought me to places of sadness... I will explain.

Much as we try to believe that, even if it is in a little way, we are in charge of our lives, we really are not. There are ALWAYS (mostly) external influences and exigencies that mar our planning and provide unclear landscapes. Sometimes we are brave enough to surmount these belittling thoughts, sometimes we are not. But by and large some of us shake out of the slump and remember that, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!”

That was me... 😫

Now, this is me! 😬

The sky is still dull. It may be winter outside, but in my heart it is spring! Springing up within me are ALL that I am, have become, have been and will yet be! I have decided to fire from all sides... to be the multi-talented, brave entrepre-warrior (An example of my creativity! I coin names like this all the time!) that I was born to be.

DON’T YOU JUST LOVE NEW BEGINNINGS!

Every new year comes with a hint of excitement, not necessarily because of what is, but more because of what can be!

May hope turn into actual fulfillment of dreams that have kept you up at night. May each day dawned bring you to, or closer to the promise you seek.

Here we go again! Another virtual training with GPFI. Today we will be speaking Customer Experience Management. I’ll be sharing especially about the measurability of our craft. It is simple really, “WHAT GETS MEASURED GETS DONE!” Agree? The secret behind offering exemplary customer service is in the deliberateness.

This has been long in coming… 👍🏽

Most people misunderstand this to mean, “the moment when you stop lying and you start telling the truth!” Or, “the time at which the real story is revealed”. No, that’s not it. It might be the thing in normal social situations but the “Moment of Truth” concept is totally different in Customer Experience Management.

It is that time in a Customer Journey when they have an opportunity to judge the service they have received. That moment could be absolutely beautiful, “a moment of MAGIC”. 🤩 It could also be totally horrid, a Moment of MISERY! 😢

What will it be for your clients this week? It is totally up to you. You are the STORY MAKER 👍🏽

Looking ahead to greater times for us all!

The first part in the Customer Experience Management journey is the establishment of a relationship. This is jump-started by the building of expectations which cause you to deliver on the promises made.

A customer’s experience is either positive or negative based on if
You failed to deliver
You managed to meet the promise
You totally exceeded expectations

That’s why we say, “UNDERPROMISE AND OVERDELIVER!”

Nearly halfway gone!

This is that point in the year when desperation sets in. You look back at the past 5 months and you begin to ask yourself if there were decisions that you should have made differently. Regrets on wrong decisions. Self- flagellation on lost opportunities!

That’s ok! And that’s behind you now! Let’s just make sure that these 30 days in June are worth something!

My prayer? Be nice to us all, June 🙏🏽 ❤️

In communication we think first of the effect we want the message to have, then we work backwards from there to decide how to craft the message, verbal or nonverbal.

Sometimes pontifications like repetitive actions or words help to create the desired impact like the famous, “I have a dream!” speech by Martin Luther King JR. He gets everyone to believe in his dream and even dream along!

The juju man had convinced him that this was the same magic he did for his father before him that established him as “Artful Dodger”, the greatest armed robber in the village! It was a potion that guaranteed invisibility!

Off he went… fully assured! Ọdeshi! He bravely strolled into the bank, a lazy sure smile on his face as he eyeballed the security staff. He got to the teller and did an acrobatic jump over to their side of the counter! Everyone is beyond speechless as they try to understand what’s happening! By now the security guards have started closing in on him. He turns his back to them and brings out a sack to start packing cash! “Stop! Stop right there!” He only briefly smiled at the security guards as he waved his hands over their eyes! “You are under arrest! Hands up!” He now looked at the staff that had collected, watching the spectacle! “Eh? Can you see me!??? Aaah! I don die!”

You see, my people, never underestimate the relevance of all the steps of a process. Testing could have saved this situation

Ever wondered why some people speak or write and everyone loves them and what their saying, and totally believes them. There is a reason why some people are charismatic speakers. It is a combination of 3 major communication strategies – Pathos, Logos and Ethos

Pathos – the heart
Here, the speaker seeks to persuade an audience by purposely evoking certain emotions to make them feel the way the speaker/author wants them to feel.

Logos – the mind
the use of logic and reasoning in crafting a piece of persuasive writing or rhetoric.

Ethos – the character
the character or integrity of a speaker or writer that are expressed in the attempt to persuade an audience.

I am sure you can think of great writers or speakers that often combined all 3 strategies effectively.
