Babagana Umara Zulum, on Thursday,
described as "very scary" some findings
submitted to him by a Committee he had
constituted and tasked with conducting
basic literacy and numeracy competency
assessment of 17,229 Local Education
Authority teachers across 27 Local
Government Areas of the State.

Governor Zulum swears in New
Commissioner and Three Permanent
Secretaries.
His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum
chaired the swearing in ceremony of a New
member of the state executive council and
three permanent secretaries, Namely Arch.
Garba Isa Haladu as Hon. Commissioner,
Ahmad Umara, Grema Ali Fannami and Barr.
Garba Musa Chibok as Permanent
secretaries.
In his address the Governor stated that the
appointment was based on merit, hardwork
and commitment exhibited by the appointees
and called on them to ensure diligence and
hardwork in their new offices.
Further assuring the people of Borno that the
Borno State government under his
administration is ever ready towards the
provision of enabling environments for
development and effective civil service.
Finally called on the Head of Service to look
into the various complaints laid by the civil
servants cutting accross promotions and
others, directed that a mechanism be
developed to tackle such issues before
January 2023..
