🔹Prevention of Glaucoma and Safety tips for the eyes 👀👁

Glaucoma is hereditary; understanding your family history, regular eye check-ups and regular exercise help to prevent and slow down the oxidative stress of the eye and play a role in the prevention of glaucoma.

🔹Diabetes is associated with retinopathy and blindness, therefore, maintaining your blood sugar level within an acceptable range is important for the eye health

🔹Eat food rich in vitamins A, C and D

Is glaucoma curable? Is it treatable? How can it be treated? 👁👀

🔹Glaucoma cannot be cured but it can be effectively treated and managed. Treatment of Glaucoma slows down the eye deterioration and prevents loss of vision.

🔹Early detection is key.

🔹Avoid self-diagnosis and self-medication; visit the nearest clinic at the slightest onset of the symptoms.

🔹The symptoms of Glaucoma👁👀

The major symptoms of Glaucoma are:
1. Teary eyes without crying
2. Blurred and barrow vision
3. Red eyes
4. Rainbow-coloured halos around the light (sunlight included) especially at night
4. Constant headache

Do not self-diagnose or try to self-medicate; rush to the nearest clinic once you notice any of these symptoms.

🔹Glaucoma is majorly caused by Intra-ocular (eye) pressure. Usually, the aqueous humor fluid in the eye flows freely through the anterior chamber and exits through the drainage system. If that system is blocked or isn't functioning well, the pressure inside the eye builds up and damages the optic nerve causing
