Confidence plays a significant role when learning how to improve your singing voice. If you don’t believe in your voice while singing, your lack of confidence will creep through. Unfortunately, you might encounter a cracking voice, failing notes, mumbling, dropping your pitch, and struggling with both breath and posture.

A confident voice rings true. It doesn’t need to overreach or undershoot. Confidence will also make you a better performer and much more enjoyable to watch. The key to singing with confidence is finding your own voice and not mimicking anyone.

Once you have found your voice, practice again and again until you become comfortable with it. Work on a few songs until you have mastered them, or work with a vocal coach and take a few singing lessons to learn more skills. Singing is 90% psychological and 10% talent, overcoming fear is from your mind. Believe in yourself and start by singing in front of friends and family members, don't run from solos take them, if you make mistakes, correct yourself and continue don't stop. MICROPHONE TECHNIQUE FOR SINGERS

You sound so great at rehearsal, especially without microphones, but it’s a different story on stage.

You’ve probably had this experience. What you might need to learn is how to use microphones

As a singer, microphones are your tool for amplification and expression. So it’s important you understand them

To make good use of mics you first of all have to know that there are different types of mics.

Generally speaking there are two types of microphones, especially for stage performances and recordings; Unidirectional mics (only receiving sound input from one direction) and Omnidirectional mics (able to receive sound input from all directions).

Find out the type you have by speaking or singing into it from different directions.

Here are a few guides for using microphones effectively.

1. LEARN TO HOLD THE MIC CORRECTLY
Don’t hold the mic by the head, hold it by the shaft. Holding it by the head is what causes that annoying feedback and most singers who do this blame the sound engineers for the noise the mic is making, not realizing they’re guilty😂

Holding it by the head also makes you sound like a spoilt transistor radio 📻 😅

Hold it right and sound right.

2. SING INTO THE CENTER OF THE MIC
This is especially for unidirectional mics, and this is also why I don’t encourage having more than one singer on a mic on stage, most of the mics we use for backups are unidirectional, therefore the people by the side of the microphones are rarely heard. If you don’t yet have more microphones, trust God to supply.

Singing directly into the center of the mic makes you sound clearer and more audible.

3. LEARN TO USE THE RIGHT PROXIMITY
Getting too close to the Mic makes you sound muddy, because it emphasizes lower frequencies more. To sound clear and articulate, put it a bit forward, the distance depends on the kind of microphone you’re using.

Also, move it forward when you sing loud, so you won’t distroy the eardrums.....

I went to a church last sunday and they served us — First timers — goat meat pepper soup.

So today, I decided to go back there as a first timer again.

I joined the queue of first timers again today.

After attending to us... Just as they were about to serve us pepper soup today, a protocol officer walked up to me. He said, "Young man. Your face looks familiar".

ME: With due respect sir, dey your dey make I dey make my dey abeg. I don't know you from you from anywhere.

PROTOCOL: You may not know me but I know you. Are you not Bro Manny that came for the first time last sunday and even finished two plates of pepper soup?

Me: Oya Oya Oya, you don catch me.

PROTOCOL: Young man, we don't want to see you here again.

It's well.

But as i was about leaving the church, I saw some people being served coconut rice, fried fish and fruit juice.

After making my inquiries, I was told they were people who just gave their lives to Christ.

Then I i entered there, knelt down in front with my two hands lifted up;

One of the Pastors screamed to the ushers,

Attend to that man immediately,This is the best soul we've won today. There is joy is heaven over one sinner that repents.

They gave me seat, encouraged me in the Lord, and gave me a form to fill.

Then one of the Pastors walked up to me;

PASTOR: I sincerely apologise because our coconut rice,Fish and juice just got finished. But i have your number, I'll be calling you to strengthen you in the Lord.

ME: That's not a problem sir. But I can still give my Life to Christ again next sunday in case I lose my salvation during the week.

PASTOR: No Brother Manny, there won't be need for that anymore. Salvation is eternal. Once Saved is Saved forever.

ME: Oga, na you wan tell me as my salvation wan be?
