TOPIC: WHEN THERE IS A CLASH IN LEADERSHIP, WHO DO YOU GO WITH?
2 Peter 1:19

In situations where there is a clash of leaders, the guidance is clear: always follow the higher leader. Your recreated human spirit is higher than your mind but not higher than the Holy Spirit within you. You will discern the still small voice of your recreated human spirit and the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit. However, the recreated human spirit is not higher than the Holy Spirit.

When faced with a choice between the written word of God and a current direction, prioritize the higher leader. The written word of God holds supremacy over any current guidance.

When dealing with a matter and you possess the word of God, let it be the guiding force. If your heart lacks clear direction, consult what God has said on the matter. The primary relationship between us and the Holy Spirit is one of leadership. Although many perceive the pastor’s role as primarily feeding the flock, leadership takes precedence; you cannot feed a sheep that does not follow to the pasture.

In instances of conflicting leadership where uncertainty persists about your spirit’s guidance, turn to the Holy Spirit. If uncertain about accessing guidance from the Holy Spirit, seek counsel from the Anointed. God has established a hierarchy of divine leaders for His people, and understanding this hierarchy is crucial. When following a prophecy, ensure it aligns with the Bible; God won’t convey anything contrary to the Bible, even if revealed in a dream — the Bible stands as the higher leader.

PRAYER: Lord, your word says as many as are led by the Spirit they are the sons of God. Holy Spirit, I am leadable, lead me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: YOUR BORN-AGAIN SPIRIT IS TO LEAD YOUR SOUL AND BODY
Romans 9:1, Romans 8:16, 2 Corinthians 1:12

You must identify the leader in your life as an individual. Remember, you are tripartite: a spirit, a soul, and a body. Your spirit is the leader among the three components, also referred to as “the heart” or “the inner man” in the Bible. To follow the leader, ascertain what your spirit is conveying regarding any matter.

While many things may seem reasonable to your mind, “reasonable” pertains to the mind’s domain, communicating through reasoning. Your body communicates through feelings, occasionally intertwined with emotions — expressed as preferences like ‘I don’t like this’ or ‘I like that.’ Your mind also generates thoughts and imaginations.

Contrastingly, your spirit, the leader, communicates uniquely. To discern God’s presence, understand His actions, or find safety, follow the leader — your spirit! Often, your body may incline towards actions contrary to your spirit. Recognizing the leader among your spirit, soul, and body is essential.

You can persuade your spirit to remain calm. The conscience represents the voice of the spirit. While most people refrain from violating their conscience, many tend to adjust it to a different standard. Although you recognize what is right through your conscience, the inclination to align actions with personal desires often leads to trouble. As a Christian, avoiding such deviations is crucial for aligning with the ever-increasing glory.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for heightened sensitivity and the grace of discernment to always know what is right per time. I bring my body and soul under the leadership of my spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: RECOGNIZE THE APPROPRIATE LEADER TO FOLLOW
Luke 3:21-22, 4:1; John 5:19; Romans 8:14

God always leads His people from the front, whether individuals, families, or churches. The crucial question to address is, “Who is my leader on this occasion? Who is leading me currently?” Answering this question personally, is key to navigating life in the kingdom because following the leader is fundamental.

Looking at Luke 3 again, before commencing His ministry at the age of 30, Jesus, though the Son of God, refrained from performing miracles. Instead, He awaited the arrival of the Holy Spirit. Immediately after, the Bible notes that Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness – a fact that we established yesterday.

The apostles experienced the Spirit leading them contrary to their expectations. Some examples of how The Holy Spirit led the apostles are below:

* The Holy Spirit guided the selection of two leaders – Saul and Barnabas – and commissioned them to preach the Gospel in Salamis (Acts 13:2-5)

* The Holy Spirit guided Paul and his team to Macedonia despite wanting to go to other regions (Acts 16:6-9)

* The Holy Spirit led Phillip to minister to the Ethiopian Eu**ch (Acts 8:29-39).

Identifying the leader in different settings is crucial; following the wrong leader can lead to danger and destruction.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to see and identify who and what I am to follow in whatever setting I find myself in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: WHO IS LEADING YOU AS A CHILD OF GOD?
Romans 8:14-17, John 10:1-18

One key distinguishing mark of a son or daughter of God is how well they respond to the leading of the Spirit of God (Rom. 8:14). In 2024, you must prioritize being led by the Holy Spirit, so that you achieve all that is in the plan and the purpose of God for you in this new year. Your first responsibility as a child of God in relating with the Spirit of God is to follow his leading..

Your safety as a Christian this year will be directly connected to your ability to yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit. For this month, we will be looking at the subject – Divine Leading!

In Luke 3, Jesus waited for the Holy Spirit to come upon Him and when the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus as He stepped out of the River Jordan, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Luke 3:21-22)” and shortly afterwards, the Bible says, “Jesus was led of the Spirit into the wilderness (Luke 4:1).”

One key secret of the success of Jesus’ ministry was that He followed the Spirit of God. Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” Before the Holy Spirit came, Jesus led Himself but when the Spirit came, He understood that the Holy Spirit was to lead Him, and a good example of that is ‘the Spirit led Him into the wilderness. (Matthew 4:1).’

If Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit to execute His earthly assignment, then that is a pattern and a standard we must emulate as sons and daughters of God. So, I ask you again; Who is leading you as a child of God?

PRAYER: Lord, I am a son/daughter in this Kingdom, and I want to be led by the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I hereby surrender the leadership of my life to you – lead me and I will follow! Amen.

TOPIC: THE ANOINTED DUO
Ecclesiastes 4:9-11

The Anointed Duo Flow was a declaration of the Holy Spirit upon my marriage some years back when my wife and I were in prayer. The Holy Spirit spoke and said, “You are My Anointed Duo” and placed an anointing upon us to call His children into the Anointed Duo Flow. It wasn’t a phrase that we coined. You are not supposed to be an “anointed separate” but an Anointed Duo that has become one.

It is my prayer that this grace will come upon your life and your home and bring a new degree of understanding and flow upon you. You still have a long way to go and many things to do for God together.

We have not encountered a problem in the ministry since we have been on this road that I and my wife sitting down and talking together did not talk into the solution. We would talk and talk and just share between us, and then suddenly hit a gusher in the spirit and the solutions begin to come with practical steps to take. It has never failed! That grace will come upon your marriage and you will not discuss into problems again but will discuss into solutions in Jesus’ name. Amen!

We have not agreed on anything yet that has not been done. The only person happy with you and your spouse not coming together is the devil. In all the years I have counselled and ministered to people in marriage, the first thing that God always shows me is His purpose for their union, and I tell them, “How can you be this blind! Look at what God has for the two of you! Why are you fighting to throw this away?” Every time I succeed in making couples see what God has in plan for them, they become determined to make their marriage work. Don’t fight with each other. Fight for the future the devil is trying to steal.

PRAYER: I receive the grace of an Anointed Duo on my marriage to overcome problems, break yokes, and remove barriers, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

STAY AWAY FROM SEDUCTIVE TENDENCIES

Do a survey of your life. You may be unconsciously seductive. When you are dressing up, you have worn a camisole but you still pull it down so that your cleavage can still show. When you are walking normally, the moment you hear footsteps behind you or a male voice behind you, your style of walking changes. Bind that spirit, if you don’t want it to destroy you. You are of the order of Sarah, Mary, and the virgins of Zion. Not the ones that are available for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to touch.

Some sisters complain that their fiancé is not interesting or forthcoming and I tell them they are sinners and fornicators. They are looking for a kind of man that will be touching, kissing, pecking, smooching them and doing all sorts of abominable things to their body s*xually without actual s*x to convince themselves that they have not committed fornication. Bind that spirit! Run it out of your life and practice holiness if you have that problem.

TOPIC: GODLY COUNSEL FOR COUPLES
Ecclesiastes 4:9-11

Marriage is enjoyable, but the issue with many people is that men and women enter marriage with great expectations but very little preparation. Looking at my marriage today, we started with nothing, but God has blessed our marriage. I don’t know anything that you will do that will make God bless you more than in marriage. God can come into your marriage and use it for something powerful.

I will share with you some godly counsel to make your marriage enjoyable and powerful.

1. Believe the best in each other.

2. Build on the strengths of each other. Dig out the strength of each other and build on it. Don’t dig out the negative in each other.

3. Don’t go to sleep with an unresolved issue in your home. This is a key principle to a life of continuous victory and joy in marriage.

4. Use words constructively. Don’t forget the principle of dealing with the issue and not the person for a stronger relationship.

5. Handle money with godly wisdom and avoid debt.

6. Be teachable and open to counsels that can help your marriage.

7. Solve problems immediately. Remember that time does not heal the wound; it only numbs the pain.

8. Recognize the difference between problems and weaknesses. The clash of weaknesses generates problems. So, identify your weakness, face it, and solve it on your own with the help of the Holy Spirit or seek spiritual help.

9. Deal with ancestral problems. Identify the ancestry you are coming from. If God does not come into your life, you are likely to repeat the traits of your ancestors. It is good for you to know the negative traits of your ancestors and build defences against their manifestations in your life and marriage.

10. Get close to God individually. Let the decisions that come from your walk with God and your love for each other produce the bulk of changes in your marriage, not accidents.

11. After God, make your spouse a priority and not an addendum to your marriage.

PRAYER: LORD, help me to apply these godly counsel to my marriage and build a home that brings glory to You always. Amen!

YOU ARE ON A S*XUAL FAST UNTIL MARRIAGE

As a young man or woman, don't stir up your passion at a time that you don't need it yet. Don't begin to read novels, watch films, browse internet po*******hy sites or do things that will stir up s*xual passion in you now. It is supposed to be sleeping as a single brother and single sister.

You are supposed to be on a s*xual fast as a single brother or sister and you are to break the fast on your wedding day. So you are going to have to discipline yourself now.

S*X IS NOT THE SAME AS LOVE

It is the wrongest perception to think that because a man has s*x with you, he loves you. I have seen a young man who sleeps with a young lady and the lady is complaining that he has refused to fix wedding date but he keeps sleeping with her, in fact, she has moved to his house!

So I called the man and asked him if he had the intention of marrying the lady. He said, “Mummy, to say the truth, I don’t really want to marry her”. So I said what exactly are you up to? He said I’m just fond of her. I didn’t want to tell him he is mad, but I felt pity for the girl. She thought because he was sleeping with her, he wants to marry her but he’s just enjoying himself.

The man that really wants to marry you will treat you like a younger sister until he marries you. The one violating and touching you just wants to satisfy his lust for you. The day he really wants to marry, he will settle down and think of a correct woman smarter than you that he’s going to marry. You will say he jilted you but you were being stupid.

TOPIC: THE MARRIAGE UNION AS AN OMELETTE (1)
Matthew 19:8; Malachi 2:15

A marriage union can be likened to an omelette; once you crack the two eggs together, you are never going to get a single egg again. There is nothing that elongates a man or woman’s life like a powerful marriage. You are never going to get anything out of a friend, another woman, or another man like what you can get from your spouse if you get it right in your marital choice. Divorce is not an option to consider in marriage, considering the omelette nature of the marriage union. Ask people who divorced; they didn’t come out whole again because something from the other person had gone into them and vice versa.

I have seen people who divorced and could see that something from their lives had gone with the spouse they separated from. If it lies in your power, don’t walk the road of divorce because you are never going to get each egg again. This is a very important point for singles to note. If you have a good egg and you mix it with a bad egg, the whole omelette is bad. Let that picture settle in your heart. Once you crack eggs, you have an omelette, and you must make it work. This idea of thinking you can just walk away at any time must be ejected from your mind.

From today, there are some basic questions and points I will be raising with you that you need to deal with to have a victorious marriage.

1. WHY DID YOU MARRY EACH OTHER? This may surprise you, but until you find out the reasons your spouse married you or you are married to your spouse, some problems may not be solved in marriage. The source of the challenges some people are having in marriage today is the reason their spouse married them.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray that my marriage will be a true picture of what a Christian marriage should be. Amen!
