Ruth 2 :9) Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

Boaz instructs Ruth to follow behind his men and gather grain. He sees that she and Naomi need food and provides for them accordingly. Many times, people do not ask for help. They carry their spiritual and physical burdens alone. We must examine our surroundings to make sure we are helping those afraid or too embarrassed to ask. We can help a widow straighten her home after losing a loved one; we can gather food to donate for local ministries. We must look for those who are hurting and offer a helping hand so they are not left to carry their burden alone.

(Prayer)
Dear God, You see the world differently than we do. Please direct our attention to those in need when they do not dare to ask themselves. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

1 John 4 :4 - 8) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

God's love for us is unconditional and everlasting. He gave us the ultimate gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we could be saved and spend eternity with Him. His love is so great that He sent Jesus to die for us, even when we were sinners. We don't have to do anything to earn His love; it has always been there. He gave us the greatest gift of all, and we are forever grateful.

(Prayer)
Lord, your love and grace are infinite. Your righteousness and mercy come together at the cross. Help me to comprehend more of your reconciling love. I know you don't love us without condition, but because you are Love. You made us to be in relationship with you and gave your Son to restore it. I'm thankful for your love that I can feel every day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Psalm 16 :11) Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

We often feel stuck in our lives and think we can't change. But God never changes and He can help us change our lives. We just need to trust Him and have faith that He will bring us joy. We must decide to live in this joy, as it's essential for our wellbeing. God can change us if we let Him into our lives and our situation. Don't give up hope - you can have the life you want!

(Prayer)
Lord, I feel overwhelmed and helpless in my current situation. But I know You are powerful and can make a way for me. I surrender my worries and anxieties to You, trusting You to bring joy and transformation into my life. Help me to find my joy in You, Jesus. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Job 1 :8) And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

God commends Job's character and faithfulness. He knew Job's faith would not crumble, no matter the hardship placed upon him. Job's devotion provides an excellent example of how we should prioritize our walk with the Lord. We will nurture our relationship with God because it is essential to desire His will for our life. We will ask Him to enlighten us to behaviors and sinful actions we need to remove from our lives so we may be productive stewards of faith.

(Prayer)
Dear Lord, please forgive our sinful nature and help us make our relationship a priority. We desire Your will above anything else. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Matthew 22:14) For many are called, but few are chosen.

God humbles us with His everlasting love. He extends an invitation to everyone to be part of His kingdom. Some are too busy or refuse to give up worldly business. Others are simply uninterested or despise our Lord. Few people come but remain unclothed in the salvation of Jesus Christ our Lord. We are all called yet; many will not enter the kingdom of heaven by their choosing. We will continue sharing God's beautiful invitation and provide knowledge concerning the only way to salvation.

(Prayer)
Dear God, we know only a few will accept Your invitation for everlasting life; this saddens us. We will use every opportunity to announce Your invitation while explaining Jesus is the way to salvation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Ephesians 6:7-8)With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Serving the Lord can feel like a burden, but when we focus on Jesus, we can find the strength to serve wholeheartedly. It's not about the people we minister to, but about the Lord. When we serve with Him in mind, we can draw on His energy and put passion into our service. No matter how mundane the task, when we focus on Jesus, we can serve with enthusiasm.

(Prayer)
Lord Jesus, I humbly ask for your strength and guidance as I strive to serve you today. May I be filled with your love and grace, and may I be an example of your goodness to all I encounter. Amen.

Romans 12 :19) Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

We’ve all had our feeling hurt at one point or another. A punch to the ego often makes us sad or potentially angry. Anger is a natural emotion, but we must maintain control before it results in the desire for revenge. Revenge makes us bitter and leads to sinful choices. We must take our broken feelings to the Lord, ask forgiveness for dark thoughts, and trust Him to repair our hearts. Instead of thinking negatively towards others, we will forgive and continue to live according to God’s plan.

(Prayer)
Dear Lord, it’s natural to become upset when our feelings are hurt. Please forgive us when we become angry with others. Help us forgive others as You so mercifully forgive us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 6 :26) Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

We have many responsibilities that cause fear, depression, and anxiety. We grow anxious over our job, financial security, or the roof over our head. We also continually worry about the future of our children or the strength of our family bond. We are frightened by physical ailments and spiritual conflicts Satan places in our path. Jesus loving reminds us that God cares for the little birds of the air. If His love is powerful enough to provide for them, imagine the power of the love He has for us.

(Prayer)
Dear Heavenly Father, we lay our fear and anxiety at Your feet. The power of Your love is so great; we truly have nothing to be concerned over. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 6 :24) No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Each of us desires financial security. We require income to insure a home, transportation, and other goods for ourselves and our family. Allowing the desire for material possessions to control us is detrimental to our spirit because we will choose to serve earthly possessions for future gain instead of our Lord and Savior. As Jesus explains, we cannot have two masters because we will devote our hearts to one and not the other. We choose God as our one and only master and submit our lives to His will for us.

(Prayer)
Dear God, we are honored to serve You. Thank you for Your love and guidance in all financial matters. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 6 :21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

There is nothing we treasure more than the gift of salvation. God gave His only Son so that we may ask for redemption, be cleansed from our sin, and inherit eternal life. There is no gold or silver that compares with the beauty of our treasure in the love of God. Our hearts belong to Him and we praise His name for the gift of eternal life.

(Prayer)
Dear Lord, please forgive our sins. You are the only treasure worth living for and we rejoice knowing we will be reunited with You one sweet day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 6:19) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Jesus tells us not to accumulate hoards of material possessions because they will not last. The cloth will be eaten by moths and deteriorate into nothing. Metal objects will rust and crumble into dust. All our earthly possessions are temporary. Scripture tells us it’s important to set aside a portion of our wealth in order to provide for our family and maintain financial stability. Wealth only becomes troublesome when we allow it to control our behavior. We will not become greedy by stashing away meaningless worldly treasures. Instead, we choose to provide for others and give with happy hearts.

(Prayer)
Dear Heavenly Father, You are our only treasure! We will use the wealth You’ve blessed us with to provide for others with happy, genuine hearts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 5:10) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

We lose sight of the fact that it is still dangerous to follow Jesus today. Many countries around the world actively persecute Christians. Authority figures with power do not like the idea of an omnipotent God with more authority than them, and communities feel Christianity is a direct threat or disrespect to their ancient culture. Christians are harmed for their beliefs and their drive to spread the Word. We will keep one another close to the heart in prayer as our brothers and sisters in Christ face persecution. The Lord sees their struggle and acknowledges their blessed inheritance in the kingdom of God.

(Prayer)
Dear Father, please keep our Christian family across the world safe. As they face persecution, we ask that You grant them peace and strengthen their faith as they face obstacles in their walk. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Isaiah 55 :12) For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Nature is a beautiful gift from God; the leaves change during each season just as our faith in the Lord matures throughout our life. Looking back, we see how our relationship with God has strengthened due to troubling storms and droughts. We’ve lost friends, jobs, or loved ones. We’ve experienced financial burden, grief, and bruised egos. Through it all, God has remained present and provided a refuge for our broken hearts. Because of His faithfulness, we have joy and peace; we begin to see the world through His eyes.

(Prayer)
Dear God, thank you for Your presence during each season of life. We lift our voices in praise to You for Your love and faithfulness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Peter 3 :8) Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

We can accept Jesus' resurrection in different ways. We can be understanding of others' differences and open to understanding our own. Let's fulfill today's scripture by being open to each other.

(Prayer)
Lord, grant us the wisdom to recognize and appreciate the individual ways in which people accept your message of love and grace. May we be open to the diverse paths that lead to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Isaiah 55:6) Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Slacking off or postponing activities often gives people the wrong impression regarding our character. We appear unreliable or incapable of handling responsibilities, giving others the impression we don’t care. God is always present, yet Scripture urges us to make Him a priority by seeking a solid relationship with Him today instead of putting it off until the last minute.

(Prayer)
Dear God, we desire to strengthen our relationship with You this day! Although You are always present, we do not want to procrastinate seeking Your will in our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

03/10/2023

Isaiah 55:11) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Rain falls from the sky to nourish the ground below so that nature can flourish. Water evaporates into the heavens when its job is complete. God does not speak to us without purpose. He gives us direction to nourish our souls; so the Good News will flourish in the world. After we accomplish our job, we will reunite with our heavenly Father. His work in our lives will have served its purpose.

(Prayer)
Dear Lord, when You speak to us, we will listen. Your words have purpose and meaning in our lives, and we will surrender to You will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

02/10/2023

Isaiah 51:6) ) Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

God's salvation is a precious gift that will never fade away. Through Jesus, we have been saved and given the chance to live forever. Satan will try to tempt us to turn away from this gift, but we must remain strong and keep our faith. Let us not forget the incredible gift of salvation that God has given us.

(Prayer)
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your forgiveness for our moments of doubt and our lack of understanding of Your promises. Help us to walk confidently, trusting in You and Your Word. Remind us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and a sound mind. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Psalm 138 :8) The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Trust God to finish what He started in you. He began before you were a Christian and will continue until you're like Jesus: fearless, humble, and confident. He works with love and faithfulness and will never abandon you. He will make you complete.

(Prayer)
I thank you, Lord, for your promise to fulfill your purpose for me. Even when I'm stubborn or disobedient, I'm grateful that you don't abandon your work in my life. Today, I'm willing to cooperate with you and agree with your purpose for me. I desire the same goals you have for me, and I praise you for always completing what you start.

Let us pray this Lenten season that we trust God more and rely on Him for help. May we be overjoyed like the apostles when we see Jesus in our lives. Amen.

(Prayer)
Lord, forgive me for ever doubting You and thinking You can't help me. Please give me strength to never let doubt take root in my heart. If I have ever let doubt kill my faith, I pray You will revive it and help me to grow in faith. Amen.

Psalm 31 :5) Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

It’s easy to become conformed to this world. We are desensitized to sinful lifestyles consistently through entertainment outlets and social media on a daily basis. When we accept Christ, we are to surrender our spirits to the Lord. We seek to align our lives according to His will and not the desire of the world around us. Conforming to the world brings turmoil and misery, committing our spirit to the Lord results in peace and happiness.

(Prayer)
Dear God, we choose not to be conformed to this world and will surrender our spirits to You. It is our desire to make our lives parallel to Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord. And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.

Fear can be paralyzing, but when we focus on God, He can help us overcome it. We may be afraid to do the right thing, but God promises to show us the way. He commands us to honor those in authority, follow His direction for marriage and sexuality, and honor Him with our wealth. With God, there is no fear factor, only a God factor. He will guide us through any challenge.

(Prayer)
Lord, help me to let go of my worries and anxieties, and keep my gaze fixed on You. May I trust in Your guidance and protection. Amen.

Romans 8 :1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Jesus took our punishment and condemnation upon Himself so that we could be free from them. He bore our sorrows and griefs, and was afflicted and pierced for our transgressions. Through His sacrifice, we are healed and have peace. He has given us a new life, free from judgment and condemnation.

(Prayer)
I trust that I am not condemned, for the Lord has saved me from sin and its consequences. I am liberated from the chains of sin, and the strength and blood of Jesus have set me free. I surrender my life to Christ, and I will never be condemned again. Praise be to God! Amen.

2Cor 3:17) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

We must take action to be free. We must obey God's instructions and follow the Holy Spirit's guidance. We must put God's Word into practice, not just hear or read it. We have the power to reject sin and pray for courage to take the freedom that Jesus died to give us. Dare to take it and rejoice in all that God has given us through Jesus.

(Prayer)
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious gift of freedom You have bestowed upon us. We choose to use this freedom to do what is right and to follow the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. James 1:3)Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

Satan delights in our struggles and creates hardships to take our focus away from the Lord. He places bumps in the road, temptations that cause us to wander from our path. Drifting off course leads us to conflict and misery. We cannot falter in our faith! Instead, we turn to scripture and absorb the Word, and rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance in strengthening our faith. God loves unconditionally, and we don’t have to be anxious amidst struggles because He is always there.

(Prayer)
Dear Lord, we come to You when we are experiencing struggles because we know that You are always present. Please strengthen our faith as we place our trust in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Colossians 3 :1-2) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Set your heart and mind on things above. Focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Live in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, abide by the Spirit, and pray in the Spirit. This will help you to develop a deep longing for heavenly glories. Access the means of grace through prayer, worship, reading God's Word, and fellowship. Trust and obey your Lord.

(Prayer)
Lord, help me to be spiritually minded today. May I focus on things from above and let my fleshly desires diminish. Guide me to stay in step with your Spirit and grow in my faith.

Galatians 4:19) My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Ministers of the Gospel must do more than just preach a short invitation sermon and then disappear to be never heard from again. They should be concerned to travail and work and strive to see the character of Jesus Christ formed in the souls of their hearers. Nor should they give up until this has, by God's grace, been accomplished.

(Prayer)
O Heavenly Father, you have called us out of darkness and into your glorious light. You have called us to be conformed to the image of your Son in holiness. Help us to heed messages truly based on your Word and to submit to your will for us. Form and fashion us by your Spirit through you Word that we may be transformed from the inside out into the likeness of Jesus. Amen.

James 1:2)My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Trials of life are numerous, and we must look upon them with joy. It’s challenging to remain joyful during burdensome seasons, but our hardships improve our walk with the Lord. When we experience loss, we become more appreciative of what we once had and see the blessings abounding in our lives. We benefit from hurting because it gives us the ability to empathize with those who experience the same struggle. Most importantly, trials allow us to place our trust in the Lord.

(Prayer)
Dear God, we find it challenging to remain joyful in difficult seasons. We trust You because You only want good for us. Our faith will strengthen when we walk through storms together. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Trust Jesus: He can do the impossible. He brings light from darkness, life from death, and can make all things new. He showed this at Cana, turning 180 gallons of water into 900 bottles of wine. He can do more than we can ask or imagine. Believe and He will make it so.

Matthew 7 :15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Reading scripture and expanding our Christian education is crucial! We must become filled with the truth in order to prevent being fooled or mislead by false prophets. It’s easy for false prophets to bend the Word to fit their own agenda. We do not want to be directed toward the wrong path so we must make studying God’s Word our top priority!
(Prayer)

Dear God, we come to You with the desire to immerse ourselves in Your Word so that we may not be led astray by false prophets. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
