We are awarding scholarships to students of Akwa Ibom State origin both in the United States of America and Nigeria

For students in Nigeria:
The scholarship is open to all students of Akwa Ibom State origin, studying in public institutions of higher learning (Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, etc.)

PRESS RELEASE

His Excellency, the Education friendly Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has approved the Award of Scholarships to 500 (Five Hundred) indigent (very poor) but intelligent students of Akwa Ibom State origin, studying in Federal or State Universities in Nigeria with effect from the 2021/2022 academic session valued at N200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only for each student, per session.

The Scholarships shall be 70% (Seventy percent) for undergraduates studying Science and Technology and Thirty percent (30%) for other courses as follows:

Aviation Studies

Marine Studies

Medicine and Surgery

Pharmacy

Engineering Studies

Agricultural Sciences

Physical Sciences

Biological Sciences

Mathematics

Geophysics

Artificial Intelligence

Geology

Oil and Gas related courses

Robotic Science, etc.



Other Fields of Studies:

Law

Arts / Humanities / Management Sciences

Education, etc.



ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARD

All applicants (Physically Challenged inclusive) must be registered, full-time indigent (very poor) but intelligent students in Federal or State Universities;

Applicants must be at least in their 2nd year of study;

All applicants must have a minimum of 3.50 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) on a 5.00 scale;

All applicants must produce testimonials from their institutions;

All applicants must present certificate of origin from their respective Local Government Council in Akwa Ibom State;

All applicants must NOT be more than Twenty-five (25) years of age at the time of application;

MTN SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE FOR L300 STUDENTS IN ANY DEPARTMENT.

Eligibility For MTN Foundation Scholarship 2022/2023

Applicants Must Be Nigerian Students.

Applicants Must Be Proficient In English Language.

3rd-year students from Public Tertiary Institutions with 3.5 CGPA or its equivalent Second Class Upper HND Students with a minimum of 3.0GPA (Upper credit) at their OND Programme Scholarships will be renewed for the existing students who have maintained a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or its equivalent (second class upper/upper credit).

Blind students studying any discipline in their 2nd and 3rd year, with a minimum CCPA of 2.5 or its equivalent, are open to apply for the SBSS.

Applicants must be eligible 300 level students studying Science & Technology related courses and blind students studying in Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education) across Nigeria.

Requirements

The 2022 Jamb Examination official started Yesterday.

My team and I actually took this week to prepare our students CBT-wise, cause we believe it's one thing to know the theory, it's one thing to be computer literate and it's another thing to be able to answer CBT questions under restricted timing.

The whole idea of giving them a CBT practical experience is to build them to be able to beat timing using - "experience".

The results were great, we had students scoring 361, 337, 313, 300, 265, 259, 243 239, 233 etc (see results in comment session).

While we expect better during their main exam, we're really hopeful.
