I saw this comment on a post online and it further emphasizes my stand on the need to be truthful and honest not only in your CV or cover letter but also during the job interview.

A recruiter will most likely accept the honest one and over-deliver than the one who lies and still under-deliver.

So remember this when next you are prepping for an interview.

Everybody can talk but not everybody can do the work.

So you just keep on working and showing proof while they keep on talking without proof.

Saving is simple and easy.

1. Most people believe that it is very hard to save.

2. Others believe that saving is simple and easy.

If you pick '1' or '2', you are probably correct.

For me, I believe saving is quite simple and easy because I have saved for a project and achieved it within the timeframe I set with ease.

This is what I did to help me save well without any difficulty whatsoever.

- I planned my finances before payday.

Before every payday at the end of the month, I already mapped out the big purchases I was to make.

Thankfully, I had little needs, and no time or strength for outing (so partying, clubbing, and outdoor activities were out of the question).

Next, I plan how much to save... It is one thing to plan how much to save and it is another thing to go ahead to save.

So the simple thing I did was to sign up on 'Piggyvest'.

I created an account got the bank details.

I make use of the 'Safelock' feature which allows me to lock funds till I need them for that particular project. You can lock it for days or even months depending on what you use and also gain interest in it.

Also, I try to minimise the possibility of risk and reduce it in any way possible.

I set my mind on the end goal because it will make you enjoy the whole process of saving knowing full well the joy of meeting or achieving set objectives.

I avoid frivolous spending with the remaining money I have left and make sure it is enough to reach the next payday.

Which is it?

I know that prayers work all right.

We were told to ask for anything and it will be granted to us.

So I ask this question again.

Is this a prayer or merely wishful thinking?

See, when you say 'Amen' to post like this.

Do well to ask yourself some questions.

- What do I have that would enable me to make 900,000,000 within the blink of an eye?

- Do I have a job or a business that will bring such money?

- Where will the money come from?

- Will it be withdrawn from the accounts of billionaires like Elon Musk, Dangote, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gate or even Mark's account and deposited into my account?

- Can my account contain such a huge amount of money at once?

- Do I have the means to make much money?

You have to understand that while prayers work.

Wishful thinking does not work one bit.

While prayer makes you believe in the potency of God's power.

Wishful thinking makes you live in Limbo.

It removes you from the reality of life.

You are subjected to just your thoughts and imaginations.
.. And you believe that anything you wish can just come to pass even the most impossible of wishes.

Before you say 'Amen' to post like this.

Ask yourself something, is this a prayer or am I just wishing for the impossible?

What makes me think that all the 199 people who responded 'Amen' will receive 900,000,000 in the blink of an eye.

It is great to dream but do so without wishful thinking.

Take life one day at a time and don't think that because you wish for it, then it will happen.

Remember that you are not the only one wishing for those things.

A billion and one people are also wishing for the same thing.

So put in the work, no matter how little and stop wishful thinking.

Don't live in Limbo or denial.

Hard work pays, and working hard on the job is vital to thriving at that job.

As that is a sure way to grow and develop fast.

You have to understand that 'Hard work' cannot be undermined but if you want to excel at your job, and business and if you want to grow faster and get promoted faster.

You need to work hard on yourself.

Working hard on yourself is paying attention to the things that you are currently lacking and making constant and consistent efforts to grow and develop them.

So how do you do it?

1) Start by reading important books that are relevant to your work, business or career.

2) Attend seminars.

3) Listen to podcasts that share insights on important topics.

4) Enrol in classes and training both free and paid. (But you must pay money for knowledge instead of going the free route always).

Paying for trainings, makes you value that more than the free or unpaid training.

5) Engage in scintillating conversations with people who are far ahead of you to learn more from them.

6) Don't stop learning, don't stop working hard on yourself.

7) Be ready to acknowledge your mistakes, learn from them and move on.

Note: Although it is important to work hard on the job or business working hard on yourself is sure to get you promoted faster and make your business more successful than ever.

Firstly, I would love to thank God Almighty for his love, grace, supply, wisdom, prosperity and kindness towards me in the year 2022.
