HOW MY SOR_ROW DISAPPEARED WHEN I LOST MY SON IN 2021 – Pastor E.A. Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday, shared how he got over his “deep sorr_ow” caused by the de_ath of his son, Dare.

Adeboye spoke at the international headquarters of the church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway during the April 2022 Holy Ghost Service of the church. The Urim & The Thummim. Dare had passed on on May 4, 2021 during his sleep in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he pastored a church and was based with his family. Speaking on the theme, ‘Signs and Wonders’, on Friday night, the elder Adeboye said children are proofs that God is a Miracle Worker, a Covenant-Keeper, a Burden-Bearer and the Defence of the Defenceless.

According to him, God is a Carrier, who carries burden, sorrow and problems provided one has the disposition of a child.

He said, “When I lost my son last year (2021), then I was deeply in sorrow, I got a text (message) from one of my (spiritual) daughters that suddenly turned the tide. What she wrote was simply this: Daddy, let God carry you.”

Some of my Children at Landmark University asked me 'sometimes we take coffee to stay awake to study.
What do you take to stay awake?'

I answered 'I take responsibility'.

It keeps awake. It is a stronger antidote for sleep than anything else. No extraordinary man has a normal schedule. ..."

When we came to Abuja newly, my wife came home from work, she was still practicing medicine in a private hospital, she came from work crying and I said, who made you cry? Why are you crying? She said it's a colleague at work, a male colleague looked for her trouble.

I said, me that own the wife, I am not making her to cry and a stranger is making her to cry? At work place? Na me and you today! I carried volvo like Jehum, I drove like a man that was not marching brake, Voooo.... 🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️

I reached the place and said take me to the man. When I met the man, he shook first. I said what happened between you and this woman? By the time I was through with him that man was sacked from that work under 2weeks I didn't report him to nobody I only encountered him!

HOW A FAMILY OF 16 SONS WERE REDUCED TO ONE || PASTOR GEORGE IZUNWA

I was talking to someone in the office and she told me a story that if I heard on social media I will not believe. Her father had 16 brothers and 3 sisters. They had a quarrel with another family and this man decided that her grandfather won't have a child. As of this morning, out of the 16 sons of the grandfather, only one is left. None of the girls are de4d.

She said it got so bad that when they were burying the last person, because the entire compound now looks like a cemetery; when they were digging, they didn't know it was the place they've buri3d someone before. That's how bad it has been in their compound.

Until the Night held to destroy witches and wizards, she said that same night, that man di3d. The person who called was the only son of the grandfather left who wasn't just talking about the man being d3ad, but was happy saying, "thank God I can even live longer". This was because he knew he was going until God intervened.

16 males and someone decided that they will all go and started sweeping them one by one.

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members about "The Destiny Of Dreamers With Heaven-sent Dreams." He spoke about the story of Joseph who had different dreams but got the hatred of his brothers.

He explained that the Lord is with the sinner who repents, He is with the believer who is on the narrow way to heaven. God is with everyone but most especially, He was with the one who would in famine preserve and keep the family and offspring of Adam, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob so that the Saviour will come to the world through the lineage of Judah in a very special and unique way. Perfectedlight. The Lord was with him, and He is with you today.

He then said, "Don't worry if they don't know you now, Pharaoh did not know Joseph a month before that time, those who did not know you last month will know you now. God helped Joseph to interpret dreams no researcher or scientist could interpret. As you open your mouth, great solutions will come. And they will have no choice but to close your prison door and bring you out and make you a Prime Minister. Perfectedlight. You thought you were down there, but God sees you up there."

He said that as he was preparing his message, all of a sudden, he remembered the village where he grew up and the local primary school he attended. "I was like a nobody, just like you now. Perfectedlight. You are like me, you are the nobody who will become somebody," he said. He then said that he had a dream, but didn't tell anybody like Joseph did because he didn't think it would amount to anything. But now, he is seeing that dream of a village boy being fulfilled and as he thought about that, he said if God could do this to a village boy and show him a great dream - because there was no money, no assistance, no lifter-up - yet God was with him.

Finally, he said, "I come to tell you here today, more than He did for Joseph, beyond what I see in my life, I come to deliver heaven's message to you today, God will be with you," he said.

There's a sound of revival.
It's the sound of overwhelming victory.

Bishop Abioye exaggerates a lot and it annoys me. He needs to do better.

Last Sunday morning, I stumbled on a video of him speaking of how, at a time, one of his cars became problematic and N2million was quoted for a fix. He said he just told his staff to get him a bottle of oil. He opened the bottle, asked for the engine head of the car to be opened, and while pouring the oil on it, he said "you car, behave".

According to him, that solved the problem. Haba na! Make we dey do small small with these things.

The car stopped messing around and the problem was fixed. He encouraged his audience to learn the power of shutting down har-as-sment of such by commanding events and situations to "behave".

I thought to myself, "how does one exaggerate barefaced like this?"

Now, I know the foregoing makes those with good brains angry while the usual suspects are happy thinking I am on their side. Read on.

As I listened to the Bishop, I remembered one of such events that occurred in our church in 2017 thereabouts.

God had commanded me to announce a Healing Service for the Wednesday of that week and communion was to be served. I simply announced it to the church the preceding Sunday but had a dilemma. At the time, I was a student pastor at the Bible School and the rules of Assemblies of God forbade me from serving communion.

I trusted the Lord to guide me on what to do and the Holy Spirit gave me an idea. On the day, during the service, I asked for packs of water to be bought from just across the church. When it was time to minister healing via the communion, I blessed the bottles of water and asked everyone to take a bottle. And service ended.

I never knew something had happened.

Two weeks after or so, our church keyboardist (he will probably be reading this) said he had a testimony. He stood before God's people to say he had had a malignant growth in a side of his belly that continued to grow with him for 18 years. The growth was also a breathing one. He said he would place his hand on it and it would be breathing like it had a life of its own.

No matter how much he ate, the growth grew faster and left him skinny (I knew he was skinny but thought it was just normal). He said all attempts to get it operated had failed because doctors did not seem to understand what was happening.

By faith, he took the bottle of water during that service and continued to administer it over the next three days in dosages like medicine. The first sign he observed, according to him, was that the growth stopped breathing. He watched for some two days and it was the same.

Then he went for the first scan. He went for the second scan. Then the third scan. ALL THREE returned as EMPTY.

The growth did not only stop breathing. It did not shrink. IT VANISHED!

See, God cannot be boxed in your small finite brain. He is ALL POWERFUL and He confounds the wise, using the phoolish things of this world.

You don’t believe that someone can actually be moved by the FAITH OF GOD to put the oil on his car engine and get it to stop being a problem, but you read in your Bible that Elijah actually outran chariots on foot. Dey play!

While you sit there and throw shades at someone like Bishop Abioye, calling him a liar, someone is growing in their personal dealings with God and unlocking extreme possibilities.

We tell you of the things we have experienced and we continue to encounter. We lie not! Let God be true...

HOW TO RAISE THE DËAD

In one occasion, Smith received a frantic phone call from a desperate woman telling Smith that her husband had passed away. In a state of panic the wife called Smith to come over and see him, when Smith arrived at the house, the wife cried out to Smith screaming in agony over the passing of her husband to which Smith replied,

“tell me where your husband is, and stay in here, I will not have any unbelief in the room!”

Smith entered the couple's bedroom where he saw the dead man lying on the bed dressed in his nightgown, he picked up the dying husband threw him to the wall and he shouted

“Live! In Jesus name!”

The d3ad man fell to the floor, Smith picked him back up and threw him against the wall and shouted

“I said LIVE! In Jesus name!”

To which the man once again fell to the floor with his eyes open... No, he didn’t come back to life, Smith threw him so hard that his eyes rolled open. Smith grabbed the man one more time and shouted

“I said LIVE! In Jesus name!”

And threw him one final time against the wall, as the man fell he began to cough and breathe! The man had returned back from the dead! Smith Wigglesworth looked down at the man and said

“Get up and get dressed your family thinks you're déad!”

Smith was convinced that the power of Jesus worked! Even to bring the dēad back to life.

Oh Jesus!!!

I sense in my spirit that someone's greatest breakthrough is coming this month.

Mark my words!

"Many times, God has to consider His Holy calling on us, and in His mercy, just permit us, and many times when a few of us share our stories, it almost sounds like a lie to many people. When we say no, it wasn't my wife I was in love with when God asked me to marry her. I wa_rred with God to end the relationship I was in, my wife was not even looking for a guy, in fact I was the one who was trying to work out a relationship for another guy with her, because everybody knew that she was consistently around me, I was always teaching her and leading her to pray, so they'll come to me and say...kai. oboi.
So I'll just notice that a guy is beginning to want to sponsor me, let's go out for lunch (congregation laughs😅).

Then it's while I'm eating his food then he now
says to me, ahah I notice you're close to sister Sarah, I'll say yes, ahah!! He'll say I'm very interested oh. I say ahahn you mean it? He'll say yes. So how far now, when do you want to talk to her? I'll tell him ok, cool down cool down, I'll find out for you whether she's ready and she wasn't ready. God literally carried us and (gesticulates to bring together) literally.

Me I cannot attribute my own to rest, I cannot, because like I said, there was somebody else I was involved with, Jesus stepped in and suddenly began to pull out desire from me and I said to Him, Lord... we had not entered the relationship, but everything around me, knew that I liked the girl even the girl knew I liked her.

She knew I was only waiting for God to speak to me, yeah. Because the least you want to do even if you come under pressure, is wait upon God. Get a word! It's a lifetime journey, it is worthy of the wait. The best you can do is to say to God, Lord, rest my soul. It's amazing that some people are married but are not rested.
Lord rest my soul, let my soul rest in you!

Pastor Enoch Adeboye has urged the new and modern generation of Pentecostal leaders to humble themselves and learn from the older ministers.

Adeboye gave the advise while speaking to the new generation of Pentecostal leaders from his office on Thursday.

The cleric, who sent his message via a video, said the older ministers have “one or two issues” but have the experiences that will be needed by young ministers.

He said: “I thank you the new generation of Pentecostal leaders for inviting me to share with you at this meeting, I wish I could come but unfortunately, it’s just impossible for me to come. Thank you for honoring me by giving me a topic to discuss with you but you will please permit me to put the topic aside because I feel led by the holy spirit to speak to you straight from my heart, not a sermon. Shall we say as an elder to a younger generation, I want to beg you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I don’t want to embarrass you, honestly speaking, I will have gone on my knees to say what am about to say. There is no doubt about it that the older ministers or older Pentecostal ministers might have one or two issues but so do our parents, our old parents, our mothers, our fathers, they are not modern, am talking of our biological parents but we still value them because they did not go to the university, they don’t know about Greek or Hebrews but they have certain information that you don’t get in any university. The Urim & The Thummim. I remember very well when I was trying to get my mom to be born again, she was telling me, look you boy before I married your father in 1910 I had been a Christian, I wasn’t rude to her, I didn’t tell her, look, mama, things have changed, the Christianity you said you understood in those days is no longer valid, I humbled myself before her, I told her to tell me all little bit about her experience as a Christian and she told me some very wonderful moving stories about how they use to fight idol worshippers who will bring charms to the front of the door and the catechist will come with the Bible and wave it over whatever charms that were placed in front of the church and kick the charm away or at times set it ablaze. I listened with awe at some of the experiences she shared with me but then very humbly I asked, can you remember a particular stage where you said I do to Jesus? because he is the husband to the church and for a woman to be married she has to say I do to the husband, I used wisdom and God help me, finally, she understood what I was talking about and she gave her life to Jesus.

“And very humbly I began to talk to her about baptism in the holy spirit and when I found that things were getting a bit slow, I have to use other people to reach to her, finally she got baptized in the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. beloved am begging you, the older generations of the Pentecostal they have issues, I know one of them but they have experience, there are certain things you don’t learn in any Bible college, there are certain things that can only learn as we travel along this way, there is a lot you can gain from them. Please am begging you in the mighty name of Jesus, don’t let pride rub you of some tremendous things you could gain from these older generations, believe me honestly whether you know it or not, they are going, if the Lord tarries many of us we soon be gone and once we are gone, we are gone. So before we go, now that particularly these older brothers have humbled themselves in reaching out to you, respond please, I beg you, respond, you have a lot to gain.”

Adeboye also spoke about how he humbles himself whenever ministers meet under the umbrella of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN.

Adeboye, who is the oldest in the PFN, said he listens and learns from the young ones because there is a lot to learn for the old but that doesn’t mean the old is not knowledgeable.

The cleric added that: “Whatever you say is wrong with the elder ones, they’ve played their path. God is going to judge them on the fact that they did the best they could based on their limited knowledge but many of them are on the way out, grab them now, and please you will need to respond positively before it’s too late. Please forgive me if I have said anything wrong, may God bless you all.”
