Protecting your eyes from Digital eye strain
In this lockdown, Digital devices like computers; television etc has being under intense and prolong use.
Extended use of digital devices or excessive lighting may cause eye strain.
Although eye strain can be uncomfortable it does not lead to any eye damage.
Concentrating on a visually intense task such as using a computer for hours, unconsciously clench the muscles of the eyelids, face, temples and develop discomfort or pain from overuse of those muscles.
If you feel that your are experiencing eye strain while working; increase the resolution of your screen (CRT), reduce ambient light, adjust the distance of your eyes from both the computer screen and your reading materials, change brightness and increase text size and use the 20/ 20 code. Occasionally stand-up, move about and stretch.
