It's now Sunday morning, the third day. The guards had been particularly warned to be more alert and armed to the teeth. But little did they know that they were dealing with the Almighty God who neither sleeps nor slumbers.

That Sunday morning, there was a violent earthquake and God sent a single angel from heaven to roll the stone. His appearance was so frightening that the guards were paralyzed with fear and almost turned to dead men. Even when the women came to the tomb, the guards had not yet recovered from their fear.

And when the angel announced the good news to the women, the guards were still unconscious. So the women broke the thrilling news to the disciples who later met with Jesus.
