Today, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the past year—a year filled with growth, learning, and milestones that have shaped me in ways I never imagined. From being a husband to being a father, each experience has taught me the value of perseverance, passion, and the importance of staying true to myself.

As I celebrate this special day, I’m reminded of the incredible journey I’ve been on and the lessons learned along the way. Here’s to the challenges that made me stronger, the successes that pushed me forward, and the people who have supported me every step of the way.

Cheers to another year of growth, new adventures, and endless possibilities.

Pulse! It's world humanity day.

We come together today to celebrate World Humanity Day, a day dedicated to recognizing and uplifting the very essence of our shared existence, consider that certain events and occurrences like tsunami, COVID, hunger etc does not consider race, geographical location, economic and military prowess. Weather In the most developed nations of the world or in the remotest part of Africa there is this struggle, the desire to be helped and loved.🌍❤️

Let me share a story that touched my heart deeply and speaks to the daily struggles we all face. Last year, I read a story of a young boy named Ihemdiri in southeast Nigeria. Ihemdiri’s family had lost their home due to unforseen occurrences, leaving them to navigate the harsh realities of homelessness. Despite the tremendous hardships that no child should endure, Ihemdiri greeted each day with a radiant smile and a spirit unbroken by adversity.

Every morning, Ihemdiri would help his mother prepare breakfast from the limited resources they had. He would then go to school, often with worn-out shoes and a backpack that had seen better days. Yet, his eyes sparkled with curiosity and hope. He was determined to excel in his studies, dreaming of becoming a teacher so he could one day help children like himself.

Ihemdiri's story is a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength within us all. We all face struggles—some visible, others hidden—but it is our shared humanity that helps us persevere. Whether it's a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being there for someone, these acts of compassion are what bind us together.

On this World Humanity Day, let’s honor Ihemdiri’s spirit by recognizing the strength in our own struggles and extending our support to those around us.
Reach out to a neighbor, volunteer at a local shelter, or simply listen to someone's story. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to make a profound impact.

I invite you to join me on this journey of spreading love and humanity. Follow my page for more inspiring stories, ways to get involved in your community, and opportunities to make a difference.

“…. What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod”.
I am sure you probably know where I got that line from, if you were in his shoes you would certainly have responded the same way. Literally what he had in his hand was a rod, but you know the story that thing he called a rod was much more than a rod.

Let me throw that same question at you;
What is that in thine hand?
Let me guess your answer, A phone
Well, that thing you call a phone can accomplish great things through you.

Let me tell you a story,

In the small town of Idomei, a group of friends—Liam 15, Joe 12, Ethan 9 and Mia 13—had a shared passion for video games. They spent countless afternoons discussing their favorite games, dreaming of creating their own. One sunny Saturday, their dream started to take shape when they stumbled upon an app called "GameCrafter" on their smartphones.

"Guys, look at this!" Liam exclaimed, showing his friends the app. "We can make our own games with this."

Joe's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Let's do it! We can finally create the adventure game we've always talked about."

They gathered in Liam's family house garage, which soon transformed into their makeshift studio. With their phones in hand, they explored the features of GameCrafter. The app was intuitive and packed with tools for designing characters, creating levels, and coding gameplay mechanics.

Ethan, who loved drawing, took on the role of character designer. Using the app's digital sketchpad, he brought their hero to life—a brave, adventurous fox named Fenn. Mia, with her knack for storytelling, wrote an engaging plot about Fenn's quest to save the enchanted forest from an evil sorcerer.

Liam, fascinated by coding, delved into the app's scripting tools. He created challenging puzzles and interactive elements, while Joe, with her sharp eye for detail, designed vibrant and intricate game levels. They worked together seamlessly, each contributing their unique skills.

As the game took shape, they faced obstacles. Bugs in the code, design tweaks, and balancing the gameplay tested their patience. But they persevered, learning from each mistake and growing more confident in their abilities. Their teamwork and determination turned these challenges into valuable lessons.

After weeks of hard work, their game, "Fenn's Quest," was ready. They decided to share it with their classmates at school. The response was overwhelming—everyone loved it. Their teacher, Ms. Andrews, was so impressed that she arranged for them to present their game at the town's annual tech fair.

The day of the fair arrived, and the kids set up a booth showcasing their game. People of all ages stopped by to play Fenn's Quest, marveling at the creativity and skill of the young developers. A local game development company took notice and offered to mentor the kids, helping them refine their game and learn more about the industry.

Liam, Joe, Ethan, and Mia couldn't believe their luck. What started as a simple app on their phones had opened doors they had never imagined. They continued to work on Fenn's Quest, improving it with the guidance of their mentors. Their journey from dreamers to game creators inspired other kids in Idomei to explore their passions and believe in their potential.

Hope you enjoyed the story.
For me the journey has just begun and I want to encourage you to follow me, so we accomplish great things together.

Let me ask again:
WHAT IS THAT IN YOUR HAND.

My name is Joseph Otude.

Why was Okonkwo called the cat?

His fame rested on solid personal achievements.

As a young man of eighteen he had brought honor to his village by throwing Amalinze the Cat.

Amalinze was the great wrestler who for seven years was unbeaten, from Umuofia to Mbaino.

He was called the Cat because his back would never touch the earth.

Excerpt from Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart".

What are you called and Why?
