This is a guerilla marketing tactic I used and got great results from.

The term "Free" always attract crowd of people 😁

Here's how you can use it to your advantage.

Look for organisations with large crowd of people like women associations, schools, local government, churches etc

I used churches and schools.

I offered free training to teach sewing classes for free for a number of days each week for a certain period.

Training was free and students could use their own materials or buy from us

Deal was sealed and a large crowd of women turned up each training day for the classes.

Majority of them queued up to purchase materials from us.

Make sure you have a team so you have people to attend to the students in selling the materials.
This is not a one-man show.

At the end of each day, I would spend time counting the money from sales of materials and also send someone to purchase the supplies to sell in the next class.

Another important way I helped these teeming students was by selling them my CDs of recorded trainings so that they could watch it at their own convenience.
So, some busy working women and many others bought the CDs.

You know how people value certificate of participation, right?

I had them ready at a certain price and a good number of them purchased theirs and took pictures with me, holding their certificates

Another important thing I did was hand them my business flyers containing my business address, the trainings we offer and my contact details.

Needless to say that after the free training, another sizeable number of them came to my office for full training and other trainings we offered.

That was how we made money from a Free community service in different ways.
