Things i look out for when i want to style a particular outfit:

Once you've sketched out your initial thoughts, it's time to develop your design concepts a bit further by hoping into the sewing machine.Make sure you have every material and machines needed to make the outfit DIVINE.

The neatness of every single stage in a cloth making process is KEY. There's this mindset that helps me make/sew better and even more neat,what is it? I make/sew a cloth as though some panel of fashion judges are coming to rate the cloth i just made..lol. Take your time and make it well.

Sketching the design concept is a very important stage in a design process because you'll be able to define their visual elements is a good way.

With sketches, you'll be able to turn an imagination into reality.

Learn to always sketch down your design concept once it comes to your mind because there are chances that you might forget it.

Get yourself a book particularly for sketching,i have a book where i sketch any design concept that comes to my mind.Whenever i want to design a cloth, I just refer back to my sketch book and pick a design from there.

3. Visualize the design concept

Now it's time to start putting it all together.

After you must have feed your mind with creativity-inclined articles,use the power of the mind to paint pictures of designs in your head from what you've seen earlier.

I do this alot, whenever i look at something...i use my mind to draw out a design concept from what i saw(it could be a rug,the shape of the sky on a sunny day,it could be a fashion magazine,it could be anything).

Make sure you keep a record of all your ideas and concepts. You will never know when something you initially discarded will come back as the perfect solution to all your troubles. Your current design concepts may become a treasure in the future. This will help you create a bank of design concepts that will be really handy in future.

This stage is one engineers of a good design process. By " RESEARCH " i mean feeding the mind. For one to come up with a good design,you have to feed your mind because creativity starts in the mind. Always look at creativity-inclined articles, condition your mind to see a design in everything you look at. I different see designs everyday.

Researching will help you come up with a unique design. One of my Graphic Design Teacher's once told me "YOU CAN'T HAVE AN IDEA IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN SOMETHING SIMILAR".

I'll explain them one after the other

1.Study the client's brief

The first stage of the Design Thinking process is to gain an empathic understanding of the problem you are trying to solve and it also involves consulting experts to find out more about the problem you are trying to solve.Empathy is crucial to a human-centered design process such as Design Thinking, and empathy allows design thinkers to set aside their own assumption about the world in order to gain insight into users and their needs(clients).

Depending on time constraints, a substantial amount of information is gathered at this stage to use during the next stage and to develop the best possible understanding of the users(clients), their needs, and the problems that underlie the development of that particular product.

This is one of the most important stages in a design process.
