Following the demise of His Royal Highness Nde Emmanuel Koprit Jatau, the District Head of Amper which Occurred on Monday 1st January, 2024 and buried today 4th January, 2024. A new king has been selected by Amper Community Kingmakers as traditions demand.
The new Ngolong of Amper is now His Royal Highness Nde Kupshak Suwa Goma.

May his reign bring peace, unity and development to Amper community and by extension the Local Government Area.

KANKE LGC CHAIRMAN HON HENRY JAN GOTIP CONGRATULATES RT HON SIMON BAKO LALONG AND HON VINCENT BULUS FOR VICTORY AT COURT OF APPEAL.

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Hon Henry Jan Gotip heartily congratulates HE Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, KSGG CON, the immediate past Governor of Plateau State and Hon. Minister of Labour and Employment and Hon Vincent Venman, aka Money in the Boot, present Executive Chairman of Langtang South Local Government Area over their affirmation by the Election Appeal Tribunal sitting in Abuja as the Distinguished Senator, Plateau Southern Senatorial District and Honourable Member Federal House of Representatives, Langtang North /Langtang South Federal Constituency.

Hon. Henry while reacting to the victory at the Appeal Tribunal said it's a good omen for our democracy and a confirmation that our Courts which we firmly believe in, remain the only avenues of obtaining justice in electoral disputes.

HON. HENRY GOTIP SECURE EMPLOYMENT FOR KANKE YOUTHS.

The Executive Chairman of Kanke LGA Hon. Henry Gotip has secured permanent and pensionable jobs for six (6) members of his local government in the last recruitment exercise into the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.

While receiving the newly recruited gentlemen officers of the corps at his residence in Jos after their passing out parade from training on a thank you visit, Hon. Henry appreciates God for the opportunity given to him to be able to touch the life of his people and promised to continue to do more for the people of Kanke LGA .According to him, their visit have further encouraged him to do that which will better the lives of Kanke people especially the youths.

Earlier, the newly employed officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps said they were in his house to thank him for finding them worthy among many to be lifted out of the unemployment market. They also thanked God for the guidance throughout the training period and prayed God to continue to bless the chairman as he strives towards serving the people of Kanke LGA.

To them, it is their earnest prayer that God will guide them in the discharge of their duty to the country and to bless the life of others.

KANKE LG CHAIR CONDOLES WITH THE HAUSA COMMUNITY OF CHIKA ,AMPER OVER THE DEMISE OF ALH. ABUBAKAR BAWA BARAU.

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip (Majidadin Guduman Nemel) has commiserated with the Hausa community of Chika, Amper in Kanke Local Government area, over the demise of Alhaji Abubakar Bawa Barau, the Sarkin Hausawan Chika , Amper who died after a brief illness.

Gotip while condoling with the the Hausa community in the Local Government, said the death of the Alhaji Abubakar who has been providing leadership to the Hausa community of Chika,Amper is a great loss to the entire Local Government and the State.

He said during his long reign, the late Sarkin Hausawa played a great role in maintaining peace within his domain and also contributed to the progress of the Local Government, Plateau State and Nigeria in general.

The Council Boss, said Alhaji Abubakar Bawa Barau was a man full of passion and compassion for his people and always demonstrated a sense of justice, fairness, honesty and love for his people and the community he represent by attracting the presence of governance to his area.

He said although the exit of Alhaji Abubakar is painful, he will continue to be remembered for the good legacies he left behind and the wonderful memories of unity, love and selflessness he demonstrated on many issues.

While urging the Hausa communities of Chika and Amper and entire family to accept his death as the will of God, Gotip urged them to continue to pray for God to forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest.

CO**SE OF MISSING FULANI LEADER DISCOVERED ALONG BOI, PANKSHIN-BAUCHI ROAD, TAFAWA BALEWA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF BAUCHI STATE NOT KANKE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF PLATEAU STATE.

It has come to our notice on some publications going round on social media that the body of the late Plateau Fulani leader was discovered in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, this is false and mischievous as nothing like that was discovered in Kanke Local Government Area.

According to Operation Safe Haven deployed to restore law and order in Plateau,Bauchi and Southern Kaduna on Thursday said the remains of the Missing Fulani leader, Ardo Adamu Idris Gabdo, the Ardo Panyam have been discovered and recovered for burial.

The OPSH further said the remains of the missing Ardo was found around Boi along Pankshin - Bauchi Road in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Addressing journalist at the OPSH headquarters the spokesman of the taskforce Captain Oya James Said the the body of the late Ardo has since been handed over to the family for proper burial.

State chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Nuru Abdullahi had told newsmen that the co**se of the Community leader was discovered in Kanke LGA which our investigation found that it's false .

OPSH spokesman said " Following a Special Forces Tracking Operations conducted by troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN based on credible intelligence from well meaning locals, the remains of the Missing Fulani leader, Ardo Adamu Idris Gabdo, the Ardo Panyam have been discovered and recovered for burial."

He said " The troops conducted the operations in the early hours of today, 5 October 2033 and were able to identify and recover the remains of the body of the missing Ardo around Boi along Pankshin - Bauchi Road in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The body has since been handed over to the family for proper burial."

This breakthrough was made possible through the continued community engagements employed by OPSH.

This remained key to the search operations, as troops worked closely with community leaders and critical stakeholders as well as family members of Ardo Adamu Gabdo to gather vital information and coordinate the search efforts.

The steadfast collaboration between the leadership of Operation SAFE HAVEN and communities also demonstrates the commitment and determination of both parties to ensure justice is served on the perpetrators.

Consequently, the recovery of Ardo Adamu Idris Gabdo's remains marks a significant step forward in unravelling the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

The investigation will now proceed with renewed vigor to identify and apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime and quickly bring them to justice as directed by the Chief of Army Staff.

OPSH will continue to work tirelessly and stop at nothing to bring the perpetrators of all evil acts to justice and ensure security of lives and property on the Plateau especially and the entire Joint Operations Area.

The General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General AE Abubakar while commending the special operation wishes to extend his heartfelt condolence to the family and loved ones of Ardo Adamu Idris Gabdo during this difficult time.

He urged the general public to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies and provide any relevant information that may assist in the ongoing investigations.

He further enjoined law abiding citizens to join hands together to create a safe and secured environment for all residents devoid of criminal elements as he assured that justice will be served on anybody found culpable.

It could be recalled that the Ardo Adamu Idris Gabdo reportedly went missing on Sunday 24 September 2023 when he left Bauchi State on a visit to his siblings and friends residing in Panyam of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Meanwhile a group has faulted MACBAN leader for saying the co**se was recovered in Kanke LGA of Plateau

Spokesman of the Plateau Central Movement for Peaceful co existence Mr Yiliji John said report that the co**se was recovered in Kanke LGA of the state is false and should be disregarded .

He lauded the STF for their efforts in restoring lasting peace in Plateau .

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN KANKE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL, HON HENRY JAN GOTIP FELICITATES WITH NIGERIANS AT 63RD INDEPENDENCE.

The Executive Chairman of Local Government, Plateau state, Hon Henry Jan Gotip has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the Nigeria’s 63rd Independence celebration.

The message is contained in a statement signed by his Director of Press and Protocol, Gopep Wudira Monday, to mark this year's celebration on October 1, 2023.

The Council Chairman acknowledged the economic and political challenges facing the citizens but appealed to them to remain steadfast and optimistic of the future given the array of measures put in place to turnaround the economy for the better by the led President Tinubu administration which in no distance time has started yielding result.

“We need to be proud of our heritage among the comity of nations and remain united as an indivisible entity as we celebrate the nation’s 63rd Independence Day anniversary.

"As we celebrate and reflect, we should also be able to strategize as to how we intend to harness both human and material resources to better the living conditions of our people.", the Council Chairman said.

Gotip commended the resilience of Nigerians, and expressed the hope that if we get our priorities right, we can lay claim of a closely knitted nation and turn the tide towards a stronger and vibrant nation.

He paid tribute to the founding fathers, who bequeathed the Nation to us and hope that our collective determination would lead to the consolidation on the legacies they left behind.

He commended the efforts of the security and law enforcement agencies, who he said, have been working hard to keep the country safe, and prayed for the repose of those who paid the supreme sacrifice in the defense of the country.

The Executive Chairman assured the people of Kanke Local Government that the challenges faced are temporary and the years ahead shall be fruitful and reaffirmed optimism in the novel agenda of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he added will see the Nation through in the years ahead.

He wished the citizens of the Local Government a peaceful and rewarding Independence celebrations and prayed for more years of a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

EID-EL-MAULUD MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, KANKE LGC.

The Executive Chairman Kanke Local Government Council. Hon. Henry Jan Gotip , on behalf of the Council, Traditional rulers, Legislative arm and the hospitable peace loving people of Kanke felicitates with all the Muslim Ummah and Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

The Council Chairman in a statement says that the occasion calls for sober gratitude to God and more prayers for God’s protection and deliverance of the nation from its current challenges.

Gotip said the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir stresses the call for sacrifice by Nigerians particularly leaders who have been saddled with the responsibility for managing the affairs of the nation and ensuring that unity, peace, justice and development is achieved.

He said Nigerians are a largely loving and peaceful people who have respect for one another irrespective of thier differences.

KANKE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN CONDOLES WITH THE NGAS NATION OVER THE UNFORTUNATE TRAGEDY THAT RESULT IN THE DEAD OF SEVEN OF ITS MEMBER IN KATSINA STATE.

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip ( Majidadin Gunduman Nemel) has send his condolence message to the National president of Ngas Development association, Nde Gonen Gofwen, Ngas Nation over the unfortunately ghastly motor accident that involve the death of seven of it's members and left others injured.

The bus which was on its way to Katsina on Monday 28th August, 2023 unfortunately had a fatal accident around Rigim and the bus went in to flame.

He said that the unfortunate incident was regrettable and had caused great pain to the bereaved families. He also prayed for the souls of the departed.

Gotip while condoling with the families of the deceased, the Ngas nation, Government and people of Plateau State on the unfortunate incident, prayed for quick healing and recovery of the injured.

THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF KANKE LGC CHARGES STUDENTS TO BE POSITIVELY INVOLVED IN POLITICS.

The executive chairman of Kanke LGC, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip, today 25th August 2023 attended a seminar organized by the Student Union Government Federal College of Education (FCE) Pankshin where he presented a paper titled: "Politics in the 21st century, Effects and advantages on academic performance".

Hon. Henry Jan Gotip who was represented by Mr. Walide Job Gotip charged students to understand the dynamics of the 21st century politics, which is characterized by globalization, creativity, critical thinking, and ICT usage. To be positively involved in politics using the different vehicles that are available for students and youths to utilize in being part of political movements in the 21st century both on the national and global stage.

While presenting the paper , careful trace of the origin of politics were made, relying on the thoughts of great thinkers like Thomas Hobbes, Jean Jack and John Locke to explain the different perspectives to the evolution of politics to a global level. Speaking further, the LG boss also detailed out some of the vehicles students can use as a means of getting their voices heard in politics. Some of the mediums according to the chairman include Student led movements, Social media activism, campus activism, student organizations, artistic expressions, policy research and advocacy as well as global solidarity among others.

The Hon. Chairman also admonished the students to take advantage of these tools and use them positively and not negatively so that they can be participants in nation building.

Highlight of the event was the donation of cash to the Student Union Government to aid in the running of the union's affairs.

The Executive Chairman, Kanke Local government Hon Henry Jan Gotip (Majidadin Gunduman Nemel) has facilitated with the Nigerian Youths particularly whom he described as a positive force for good on the occasion of international Youth Day 2023.

Which is an awareness day observed by the United Nations and the global community .

The day is observed to put more focus on the cultural and legitimate challenges faced by hard working youths across the world.

The International Youth Day is celebrated on 12 August since 2000.

It provides an opportunity to reflect on the voices, actions, and initiatives of the youth which is why United Nations has made this day very important.

The Council Boss while sending his felicitation, urged the youths to be agents of peace , democracy and good governance. He reminded them that despite being the pillar and future of every country that their future starts now and that they must therefore embrace the moment , take advantage of the opportunity created by the state and federal government to empower the youth through value reorientation, skill acquisition and acting as an agent for good governance.

Life begins when you start believing in yourself. So before anything else, start developing self-belief so the world will believe you.
The future of any country is in the hands of the youths of the society.

This is why we are focused on harnessing and utilizing the potentials of the youth from the grassroot for the betterment of our society.

Gotip urged the youths to shun violence, cultism, social vices and things that causes unrest and dent the image of the youth of this great country.

KANKE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN CONGRATULATES NEW ACTING APC SECRETARY.

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council and Algon Secretary Plateau State chapter, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip (Majidadin Gunduman Nemel) has congratulated Barr. Festus Fuanter, the APC Deputy National Secretary, who has been made the acting National Secretary of the party following the resignation of the National Secretary.

The Council Chairman described the appointment as well deserved and expressed confidence that Barr. Fuanter will bring to bear his experiences and dept of knowledge in assisting and consolidating on the Renewed Hope Mandate of our beloved President, H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He described his elevation as a well deserved one, saying this will put Plateau State on national politics.

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip (Majidadin Gunduman Nemel) has sent warm felicitations to Hon. Geoffrey Yilleng, first deputy Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council(1997-99) on his 72nd birthday.

The Council Chairman in a goodwill message congratulated the elderstatesman for marking another birthday in good health and God's favour.

In rejoicing with him on this special occasion, Gotip used the opportunity to appreciate him for his enormous contributions to the development of the Local Government, Plateau State and Nigeria throughout his civil and political careers.

He further charged the former deputy Chairman to continue to contribute to the peace, progress and development of the Local Government, State and the nation at large.

He wished him more years of protection, favour and sound health.

HAPPY ID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION FROM THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF KANKE LGC.

On behalf of myself, family, the Local Government Council, legislative arm and the good people of Kanke Local Government Area We rejoice and celebrate with you as you embark on El-Kabir celebrations today, may the Almighty God in his infinite mercy, blessings and compassion reward our act of sacrifice bountifully.

As we celebrate let us never forget the reason for Eid-el- Kabir. We commemorate an act of complete faith in God and His instructions unto us. Thus, let us not only celebrate but may we also dedicate ourselves to greater adherence and obedience to the compassionate and spiritually nourishing commands of Almighty Allah.

I wish to urge our Muslim brothers and the good people of Kanke Local Government Area to use the Eid-El-Kabir celebration for sober reflection and pray for our dear State , Nation and the world in general.
