FITTING

As a fashion designer or client,please be available for fittings,be ready to take down necessary areas were special dress details are needed .

The process of fitting an outfit before final completion gives the designer and their clients the opportunity to check for possible errors and correction .

Fitting process should be encouraged in the fashion design industry, dough not all client are available to fit there dress and the final production comes out well too.

Fittings can have first stage,second stage,third stage and even more stages,pending on the final design to be created .

Guess what!🤩 dear fashion designers and intending fashion design students,I know that you may be stressed out already or you don't have enough time for yourself or maybe you are single or married or too busy with family, business and work. Please while embarking on Fashion design upgrade journey,be fully prepared physically,financially, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

We know that fashion academy tuition fee is very expensive and even money for your practicals and projects are more expensive 🙄 because things are now very expensive In the market .

If you decide to pay for an upgrade class,please do all your assignments 😉 or at least 90 percent,please don't start giving unnecessary excuses because of laziness.

For those thinking of upgrading their fashion design skill just know that fashion 😉 upgrade is not cheap and it's not for the faint hearted. Always concentrate both in practical/theory classes and be focus

Types of DART and how to manipulate DART to create flat shape designs and asymmetric lines on gown,crossing over darts by using the Slash/spread method and pivotal method. Dear fashion designers and intending fashion design students please don't skip process!!!

The fit of a garment depends on it's accurate measurements,an accurate measurement is with continuous practice.

As a fashion designer,proper knowledge of Tape reading is necessary to achieve an accurate accurate measurements, the fit of a garment,draft pattern and to take fabric/body measurement.

Inches tape reading in fraction and decimal

1/8 = 0.125

1/4 = 0.25

3/8 =0.375

1/2 = 0.5

5/8 = 0.625

3/4 = 0.75

7/8 = 0.875

8/8 = 1
