I once heard a top edtech consultant say, you cannot change nor influence the educational space without the government. While this may be true, based on my experience and understanding of how governments operate, it would take visionary leadership at decision-making levels to be able to impact any form of change. This ideal of visionary leadership, on decision making levels of government is not yet a reality of our beloved country Nigeria.
In my own space as a school director, I have endeavored to make learning contemporary by infusing creativity and innovation in my school’s practices and of course by giving my team room to grow and explore their creative potential. Sang Bleu elementary has indeed become a fun and safe place for children to learn and for teachers to work.
However, Sang Bleu elementary is just one school, where we offer a premium learning experience at an affordable fee. The journey to transformative learning begins with us teachers.
