GOD WANTS TO TAKE AWAY ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF CARNALITY IN YOUR LIFE (Apostle Arome Osayi)

Many of us sees Jesus as a money doubler, as a God that goes around looking for husbands for people.

We come to God with all kinds of perspective and the bible says that he that cometh to God, even though, you came from the left or right root, you just came to him, you came with you philosophies and expectations, but what happens is that everything you have come with, might be put aside because your mindset and perspective is going to be drowned in the protocol and as you continue, your perspective will be renewed , although nothing changes physically in your life, but you will begin to see that your approach to God will begin to change because your mind is being renewed.

Many of us donot know that God wants to do is to allow the holy spirit to brood over your life and take away all the symptoms of carnality.

Yielding to God processes has the capacity of bringing out so many changes that will put Satan to so many disadvantages in your life.

God will not make available everything you want, every thing that you need swiftly and that is why he puts you on some certain processes and that is how you change into becoming a mighty man in the Kingdom.

God makes mighty men through some processes and one of the most crucial process is prayer. I can boldly tell you that I am a product of prayer, I have survived alot of things because of prayer.

I urge you to discover those process and also align to it.

A MUST READ FOR EVERY YOUTH
MESSAGE TO THE YOUTHS || BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO
There's no better time to mould your life into the shape than NOW.
Because when it becomes too late there's so little you can do or achieve.
If you are a skillful football player, you will likely have asked yourself this question:
Can I be a football star at my age?
Am I eternally disqualified from becoming a footballer?
This is because there is a level you get to in life when you can't achieve certain things no matter how hard you try.
For example, I can't become a commercial pilot because I have passed the age where I am trainable. As a matter of fact, I would be tagged as โ€œa risk to the aviation industry.โ€
This is why the bible emphasizes the relevance of times and seasons.
Everything about life is tied to a specific timing
And it's up to you to either respond to the timing or ignore it, leading to regrets in the nearest or distant future.
In a nutshell, you need to wake up and assume responsibility for your life.
Make hay while the sun shines.

Top 6 lessons learned from the book- DO IT TODAY

1. STOP LOOKING FOR SHORTCUT, AND DO THE WORK

Building a business or career is hard.

It requires you to do difficult, tedious, and unsatisfying tasks.

If you want more clients or work, no one is going to hand it to you.

You have to hustle.

Do content marketing, one-on-one sales, network, or whatever method you use to grow your business.

And if you want to climb the corporate ladder, you have to form alliances, be strategic, outperform your targets, and be great at what you do.

Thats what you SHOULD do, right?

Most of us already know these things.

Or, you will find out about it.

Theres no such thing as a secret to succeeding at work.

2. ELIMINATE. ELIMINATE. ELIMINATE

Elimination is a key strategy that I use for many aspects of my life.

We accumulate so much unnecessary baggage throughout the years that we consistently need to eliminate.

If you find yourself struggling to focus, try this strategy.

Make your life so simple that its a breeze to live.

And lets be honest here. Who wants to live a life thats impossible?

Life is already hard enough.

Dont make it harder.

3. WILLPOWER DOESNT WORK. SYSTEMS DO.

What you really need is a system for doing work.

A lot of people shy away from routines, systems and frameworks because they want to have freedom.

I'm sorry to disappoint you: Freedom is your enemy.

The fact is that, if you want to get things done, you need rules.

If you combine the right productivity tactics, you have a productivity system.

The deadlines create urgency, accountability will create responsibility, working in intervals improves your focus, exercising will give you more energy, so does a healthy diet, and eliminating distractions will take away the temptations.

4. DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET.

And theres only one reason to do that: Too much of anything is a bad thing.

Even good things.

Too much exercise?

You will get overtrained.

Too much love?

You will smother people.

Too much work?

You will burn out.

Too much food?

You will get fat.

Too much water?

You will die.

So why do you consume so much internet?

Follow Evans Mozurunyem Ministries for action-provoking posts every morning!

5. MANAGE YOUR ATTENTION

Focus determines the quality of your life.

No focus means no control of your attention.

And no control means frustration.

We all know what frustration leads to.

Start managing your attention.

Not your time.

6. REST.

You recharge your phone when it runs out of juice.

You refill your gas tank when youre running on empty.

But sometimes, you forget to do the same for your most precious possession:

Your body (and the brain thats inside of it).

HOW I SACRIFICED A JOB WITH NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA BECAUSE GOD CALLED ME -Pst Jerry Uchechukwu Eze

The journey to becoming, there is no shortcut to it.
I remember many years ago, when everything was tiring for me and when I answered the call, I won't lie, like peter, when I resigned from UNFPA. After some months of resigning, I wasn't seeing money, the way I used to see money, I said God, this life, desn't look it. Like what I want, and I began to look for another job again, I won't lie.

So, my Friend helped me with an opening at NOI Polls at the time, that was when they were still in conjunction with Gallup. So I went to Lagos... it was... I did the interview... In fact I just came in from London and then I told my wife, I said, well, there's another interview I'm going for now that I have... not having money. So let me go and see, I said it's not a serious job, it's a job that will allow me do ministry. I knew I'm lying, I knew I was lying (audience laugh) and so that's how I went on the last stage of the interview. I was, you know, talking with emmm NOI, that is Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, it was her company.

So when we finished, we talked and talked and talked, she was very excited. She now called Kehinde, I don't forget the name. She said Kehinde, issue that appointment letter right now! Do you know what I was hearing? Issue that his death warrant right now! (Outburst of laughter) Do you know what I was hearing? Issue that his death warrant right now! I don't know why I was hearing that. Let me tell you, the journey to your purpose will not be easy, but I don't want you to think you have an option.

Never think if I don't do this, I can do this. That is where failure comes in from.
And I left her office, my peace left me, as I left her office everything... So as soon as I walked into my friends office at the time, he is in DFID now, he's the country director, so but at the time, I've forgotten what he was. As soon as he saw me, he just embraced me, Emeka is his name and he told me congratulations sir, I said Emeka... Emeka, my peace has left me.

He said whether your peace has left you, or your peace is there, he said you see this job, I fought hard, I know that all that you needed, is for madam to see your face and now that Madam... he said I fought hard, don't disappoint me. I said Emeka, I'm not sure I will do this, because my body was literally shaking, na money wey ah dey look for. I told God, I don't want to be the Pastor that will steal money, I don't want to look in the direction of money... and that was the day, as I left Abuja, and then I was coming back, I was on the plane, I said God promise me, you'll put food on my table.

I'm not asking for... Promise me that I would not write letter, appeal fund letter, you know, appeal to pay the man of God's rent, appeal to do this other one, I said just promise me that I will be fine. Lord, I will do this work. I cried and God told me. Forget about your tomorrow, do the work I have asked you to do and that is what led to where I am.

People of God, there was a season of my life where I had a major breakthrough in ministry and I came... that day, I got so emotional and I was just praising... thanking God. I said God you're doing this... you've done that... God said to me listen, I have not yet started.
Now I'm looking back on what God is doing, He said I have not yet started and He said, if you will give in more, If you will give in more, then you can see what I will do.

1)Forget things, he says. One day, even all the people you love or hate won't be in your life or you in theirs.

2)Two people under the same roof bearing the same loss, are affected differently.

3)Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Loss is unavoidable. Grief isn't. Death is certain. And life, well, life isn't certain. Its uncertainty, unpredictability, and even irrationality make it what it is: worthwhile, a blessing.

4)Whatever the cause of your grief, it's temporary and will not be there forever.

5)The root of our struggles is the quest for permanence, to somehow vainly ensure that any good in our lives must remain as is.

6)Whenever you are down or disturbed or feel lost or low, just touch your heart and tell yourself that this time will pass.

When you are over the moon or think you have the best life, tap your heart again and remind yourself that this time won't last.

7)If we don't know how to keep ourselves happy, no one else can ever do that for us.

8)The three core virtues that define a person's spiritual attitude

Patience
Selflessness
Determination

9)Two ways to show that we have realized our mistake: first, by not repeating it, and second, by offering a sincere apology.

10)We will not be honored for what we could have done but for what we did.

1 Rational and Emotional.

It is mentioned in the book that there are two different bits of intelligence. Throughout our lives, we make decisions by being influenced by these two types of intelligence. Who we are, what we do, our reactions depend entirely on it. The underlying reason for our very clever actions or our irrational but feel-good behaviors depends on these two types of intelligence.

2 / IQ Isnโ€™t As Important As We Think

IQ canโ€™t get you beyond being a good employee. It makes you graduate from school, but it canโ€™t find you a job. When you go to the job interview, your diploma cannot answer the questions during the interview. You need to have good communication with the person who will hire you. It all depends on your emotional intelligence.

3 Areas of Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is responsible for our motivation, awareness, empathy, and relationships. Theyโ€™re all interconnected, and if youโ€™re bad at one, youโ€™re more likely to be bad at the others.

4 The Emotional Brain Is Stronger

The outer upper part of our brain is the part where we make rational decisions, while the lower part is the part where we make emotional decisions. No matter how rational beings we may appear, we can very easily be deceived by the emotional brain. We can find excuses to trick the rational brain into doing what the emotional brain wants.

5 Othersโ€™ Feelings

Thanks to our empathy, we can truly understand how others are feeling. If we could not distinguish between happy or angry people, there would be incredible chaos. Beyond these two basic emotions, we must develop an ability to empathize. In the absence of empathy, our communication aspect is affected very badly.

6 Motivation

Our motivation, which enables us to endure the problems we face for a long time, is also a product of emotional intelligence. We can convince ourselves that we can solve problems. We can remain optimistic and have hope for the future.

7 Awareness

One of our most difficult aspects to develop is our awareness. We must practice understanding how we truly feel. We must ask ourselves questions. We must listen to ourselves.

8 Relationships

Relationships cannot be let go. It must be managed. This requires mutual tolerance and understanding. If you know how to resolve conflicts, it turns into a happy relationship for both parties.

9 Negative and Positive Emotions

Our emotions change every moment, but the longer negative emotions stay, the more negatively they affect our lives. It prevents us from being successful in our work and relationships. Fortunately, these feelings are not difficult to change. You can learn to turn negative emotions into positive ones.

10 Productivity

When your emotional intelligence gets stronger, your creativity starts to increase. Regardless of your field of work, you will start to see serious differences in your productivity. It will increase your performance. Longer hours allow you to work with the same efficiency.

11 Emotional Intelligence Is The Key To Success

Since we cannot live a life independent of our emotions, the higher our emotional intelligence, the higher our quality of life will be. We know that successful managers are experts in managing their emotional intelligence. You can also take them as an example.

12 Leadership

A commander cannot direct an entire army by saying โ€œwe are going to warโ€. You canโ€™t manage a team by just saying what to do. You need to understand your teamโ€™s current feelings and level of motivation. You should encourage them to work. You have to use your emotional intelligence for all of these.

13 Teams

Average talent teams that get along well with each other are more productive than gifted teams that donโ€™t get along. It doesnโ€™t matter how well a team with low emotional intelligence is in control of the numbers. They canโ€™t even decide what to try to do.

14 Stress

Difficulties at work and in our relationships put us under stress. Stress makes it difficult for us to find solutions to problems. When we canโ€™t find solutions to problems, we get more stressed. To get rid of this dead end, we need to know how to manage our stressful situations.

15 Marriage

The secret of long and happy marriages is sincerity in your feelings. If your marriage was not built on this basis of intimacy from the very beginning, it will begin to crack over the years. Even small problems become unsolvable. You have to be emotionally open at the beginning of the road.

16 Leadership

Leadership does not mean dominance. Leading your colleagues to a common goal and making them believe in the reality of this purpose. Successful leaders are those who can keep their teamโ€™s motivation alive for many years. You have to make them desire the work to be done.

17 Emotions Are All Normal

Anger, hatred, love, happinessโ€ฆ You can understand when and under what circumstances these feelings will emerge by following yourself. You may have these feelings depending on how you interpret the events you encounter. The important thing is to be able to react independently of your feelings. You may find yourself making promises that you cannot keep because you are happy, or you may resort to violence when you are angry.

18/ Being able to Express Your Emotions

Not everyoneโ€™s level of empathy can be very good. You may be in a difficult situation immediately. You may feel bad, but people may not understand it. In these situations, you may need to express your feelings a little more directly.

19/You Are Not Your Emotions

Keep doing what you need to do, no matter how you feel. Success is achieved by people who cannot give up no matter what their feelings and thoughts are. Donโ€™t let your feelings affect your actions.

20/ Timing

As soon as you feel a different emotion, try to think before you act. Because emotional intelligence moves faster than rational intelligence, it can make you act irrationally and make you say any unnecessary words.

Top 10 Lessons From "The 80/20 Principle" by Richard Koch

What is the 80/20 Principle?
The 80/20 principle (aka the Pareto principle) states that 80% of the results come from 20% of the causes.

1)Thinking 80/20
80/20 thinking requires, and with practice enables, us to spot the few really important things that are happening, and ignore the most unimportant things. It teaches us to see the woods for the trees.

80/20 thinking is reflective, unconventional, hedonistic, strategic, and nonlinear; in that it combines extreme ambition (in the sense of wanting to change things for the better) with a relaxed and confident manner.

2)80/20 thinking is reflective
80/20 thinking is different from the type of thinking that prevails today. The latter is usually rushed, opportunistic, linear, and incrementalist.

Our objective is to leave action behind, do some quiet thinking, mine a few small pieces of precious insights, and then act; selectively, on a few objectives and a narrow front, decisively and impressively, to produce terrific results with as little energy and as few resources as possible.

3)80/20 thinking is unconventional
80/20 thinking discovers where conventional wisdom is wrong, as it generally is. The power of the 80/20 principle lies in doing things differently based on unconventional wisdom.

NB: Follow Brimedge College for parental tips

4)80/20 thinking is strategic
To be strategic is to concentrate on what is important, on the few objectives that give us comparative advantage, on what is important to us rather than others.

5)80/20 thinking is nonlinear
Traditional thinking is encased in a powerful but sometimes inaccurate and destructive mental model: It is linear.

Linear thinking is attractive because it is simple, cut and dried. The trouble is that it is a poor description of the world and an even worse preparation for changing it. Scientists and historians have long ago abandoned linear thinking. Why should we cling to it?

The most valuable insight from 80/20 analysis will always come from examining nonlinear relationships that others are neglecting.

Only a few decisions really matter. Those that do, matter a great deal.

NB: JOIN our community: Personal Development Forum with Darlingson

6)80/20 in Happiness
Happiness is not money, and it is not even like money. Money not spent can be saved and invested and, through the magic of compound interest, multiplied. But, happiness not spent today does not lead to happiness tomorrow.

Happiness, like the mind, will atrophy if not exercised. 80/20 thinkers know what generates their happiness and pursue it consciously, cheerfully, and intelligently, using happiness today to build and multiply happiness tomorrow.

80% of our achievement and happiness takes place in 20% of our time โ€” and these peaks can be expanded greatly.
Our lives are profoundly affected (for good or ill) by a few events and decisions. We can improve our lives dramatically by recognizing the turning points and making the decisions that will make us happy and productive.

Everyone can achieve something significant. The key is not effort, but finding the right thing to achieve. You are hugely more productive at some things than others, but dilute the effectiveness of this by doing too many things when your comparative skill is nowhere near as great.
Most of our failures are in races others enter us into. Most of our successes come from races we want to enter.

Few people spend enough time and thought cultivating their own happiness. They seek indirect goals like money or promotions that may be difficult to attain and will prove when they are attained to be extremely inefficient sources of happiness.

7)80/20 in Investing
Typically, 80% of the increase in wealth from most long-term portfolios comes from fewer than 20% of the investments. It is crucial to pick this 20% well, and then concentrate as much investment as possible into it.

Let those good investments compound: Nobody ever went broke by taking a profit, but many people never got rich by following the same procedure.

8)80/20 in Relationships
You donโ€™t need many allies but you need the right ones, with the right relationships between you and each of them and between themselves. You need them at the right time, in the right place and with a common interest in advancing your interests.

Do not assume your friends and allies are all of roughly equal importance. Focus on your attention on nurturing the key alliances of your life.

You alone cannot make yourself successful (in any area of life). Only others can do that for you.

If you have a strong alliance with both X and Y and they have one between each other, that is excellent. A chin is as strong as itโ€™s weakest link. However strong relationships between X and Y, the ones that really matter for you are your with X and yours with Y.

9)80/20 at Work
80% of the value in any organization or profession comes from 20% of the professionals. Workers who are above average will tend to be paid more than those who are below average, but nowhere near enough to reflect the differential in performance.

It follows that the best people are always underpaid and the worst people always overpaid.

Being Intelligent and Lazy
The key to earning more and working less is to pick the right thing to do and to do only those things that add the highest value.

Identify where 20% of effort gives 80% of the returns: In any sphere of activity, 80% of people are achieving 20% of the results, and 20% of the people are achieving 80% of the results.

What are the majority doing wrong and the minority doing right?

10)80/20 in Winning
There are always winners and losers โ€” and always more of the latter. You can be a winner by choosing the right competition, the right team and the right methods to win.

You are more likely to win by rigging the odds in your favor (legitimately and fairly) than by striving to improve your performance.
You are more likely to win where you hav e won before.
You are more likely to win when you are selective about the races you enter.
80/20 Time Management
80% of achievement is attained in 20% of the time taken. Conversely, 80% of time spent leads to only 20 of output value.

We need to make a conscious effort to step away from the Protestant work ethic. We enjoy hard work โ€” or at least the feeling of virtue that comes from having done it.

What we must do is internalize that hard workโ€”especially for someone elseโ€” is usually not an efficient way to achieve what we want. Hard work leads to low returns. Insight and doing what we ourselves want leads to high returns.

Free yourself from obligations imposed by others
It is very difficult to make good use of your time if you donโ€™t control it.

Eliminate or reduce low value activities
Since there is little value in the activities you want to displace, people may not actually notice if you stop doing them. Even if they do notice, that may not care enough to force you to do them if they can see that this would take major effort on their part.
