It dawned on Lateef that her dream of saving lives is gradually coming to a halt as her main distraction was served on a plate to her, literally like her enemies are succeeding in every way;

Lateef lost her father to death on a sick bed when she was three months old.

Life was haunting and dreadful both for her mother and her.

Serving from one mannerless and cruel master was Lateef's mother who struggled to take her to school and as God may have it, she was successful in taking Lateef through high school which was hell for Lateef on the other hand as many occasions shattered her into pieces;

She got dreadfully affected by how many students came with their two parents for graduation ceremonies, students alighting from their dad's luxurious car while arriving at school but she comes with her foot, her classmates bringing their dads for a breadwinner's day in school but she brought her mum who happened to be the only female in the ceremony.

She made the affirmation of saving lives and preventing hurtful events in many people's lives by becoming a doctor during a class presentation.

But as there are goals there are also obstacles;

Lateef's mother was settled and life became more comfortable for them resulting in Lateef getting most of the things she desired including phones.

A day doesn't pass without Lateef forgetting to do something significant all because she was operating her phone all night.

She spent all her days scrolling through her phone and other gadgets, jumping from one social media to the other gaining followers while her GPA abruptly dropped.

This affected her mother badly as it dangerously played with their relationship, and as a mother would always do Lateef's phone was seized.

Hopefully, she will concentrate more on her studies - Lateef's mother hoped, but her hope was cut short as Lateef's school moved from physical classes to taking online classes.

Her distractions surfaced and she gave in without thinking of a way to avoid it.

Happily, for Lateef, she was successful on social media which was what she never wanted and she wasn't fulfilled because her dream of becoming a doctor was tarnished - a comfortable life without happiness but filled with unaccomplished dreams is still a failed life.

Work out for your dreams to be fulfilled before moving to other means to give value and increase.

In a nutshell work on your distractions to accomplish your dreams.
