Ex-aide of former president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has made a mockery of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s degree.

The emergence of the degree certificate of LP's principal has continued to elicit reactions.

Following a series of criticisms about Obi’s education at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, his spokesperson, Valentine Obienyem, published his Bachelor’s Degree certificate (Second Lower) in Philosophy obtained from the institution in 1984.

Reacting, Omokri compared his receptionist’s degree to that of Obi, claiming the former’s was better than the latter’s.

Tableshaker blasted the ‘Obidients’ noting after all the buzz about their 'saviour' on social media, he can only boast of Second Class degree in Philosophy.

He tweeted: “Even my receptionist while I was in government has a better degree than Obi. After all this noise on social media, it is only a Second Class degree in Philosophy that your messiah has? Zenith Bank will not even employ such an educationally challenged character!”

Tinubu Eulogises Wife, Remi, On 62nd Birthday

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has showered praises on his wife, Remi, on her 62nd birthday on Wednesday.

Taking to his social media pages, the former Lagos governor recounted how his wife has stood by him unconditionally.

I Was Aware Of Okowa’s Plan To Become Atiku’s VP -Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has revealed that he was aware of the underground moves of the Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, to become the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 elections.

Speaking during a media chat on Friday, Wike said that though he was aware, he expected good sense to prevail in the party.

One of the journalists interviewing him, Gbenga Aruleba, pointed out that perhaps, he (Wike) had not been observing the patterns as Okowa was the only South South governor who didn’t buy a nomination form to vie for the presidency or a senatorial seat and that might have been a pointer to his undeclared ambition.

Wike responded, “That he (Atiku) was going to run with Okowa. That Okowa supported him. We were all aware. It is not that we didn’t see. Take for instance the United States of America, (Joe) Biden ran and the current vice president of America, Kamala Harris, gave Biden serious problem. When they wanted to pick the Vice President, Biden said this woman gave me serious problem, I cannot pick this woman, but those in Biden’s camp, who meant well for him told him, ‘If you want to win this election, you must pick Kamala Harris.’ And look at the support (for Biden) today.

“The problem with some of our leaders is that there are so many rent-seekers around them. They (rent-seekers) have not been in power for years. So they are all looking for how to bounce back. They are people who have no value to add.”

MTV Star, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha has advised Nigerians to choose wisely as the 2023 election approaches.

Students Kick As Court Orders ASUU To End Strike

The National Association of Nigerian Students has rejected the court judgement directing striking university lecturers to return to classrooms.

In a statement signed by its National spokesperson, Giwa Yisa Temitope, the student association said that the "judgement betrays equity."

Part of the statement read, “Ordinarily, the Federal Government is not meant to have dragged ASUU to court. But, the fact that they had to drag ASUU to court is a signal that this government cannot handle crisis. And, we want to state categorically that the court cannot force members of ASUU back to lecture theatres.

“And, as it stands today, with that court judgment, we maintain that the court has not resolved the problem and we reject the judgment in strong terms. The court could have said that the Federal Government should go and pay rather than say that lecturers who are on strike should go back to classrooms.

“The only remedy to this strike action is for the Federal Government to accede to the demands of ASUU which the government willingly entered into with them and properly fund education.”

Though wearing different colours of the same fabric, the group of women had the late queen's image on the front of their outfits.

The pictures were shared on Owambeuk’s Instagram page on Tuesday with the caption, ”Our London Aunties are not joking ooo❤️❤️❤️ Repping Naija all the way 💙💙💙. It started as a joke and one of us took it seriously. The outfits were turned around in four days and delivered from Lagos to London the day before the event. It went viral and the Palace has now requested for it to be displayed at the London Museum."

Eedris Abdulkareem Leaves Hospital After Kidney Transplant

Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, has been discharged from the hospital after having a successful kidney transplant.

The rapper on Thursday announced this on his Instagram page.

He shared a picture of himself saying, “It's good to be back home. To GOD be the glory. Alhamdullah. 🙏”

Abdulkareem announced that he suffered kidney failure and would undergo a transplant in July.
